Great stuff, that's the second Leica item I've got. It's very accurate, easy to work with, I haven't try Bluetooth app yet, but overall I'm happy with that laser. Only thing I don't like about it, there is no little box or something with zip to keep it free from dust etc.

Great little product

My Husband recommended this as he uses it at work. It Has a good range and accurate. II use it for measuring up houses. My only frustration would be that it doesn't have flat side edges so can wobble a bit when placing it on the floor to get a celling height etc

It's a classic

I bought this for myself to impress colleagues and make them jealous, oh and help me in my job when I have to do a bit of survey work. It's great, simple and effective and fits easily into any pocket or handbag. Of course I wonder about the extra features in the newer and more expensive versions, but couldn't really justify the greater expense for fairly occasional use.

Leica DISTO D1 40m Laser Distance Measurer Rangefinder

Great entry-level disto, it seems really accurate and is easy to use. The app is a useful way of recording sketches and measurements too.

A very handy tool at a good price. It is smaller than I thought it would be which means it easily fits in any pocket and it is light weight as well.It could do with the button being more raised to find it easier with your thumb and in my large hands it feels a little fiddly to use but I;m sure I'll get used to it soon enough. It is great to use once you get the hang of it and it is so much quicker than using a tape measure.Overall, very pleased with this product.

Not as useful as I thought it would be

It is very accurate, a good size for my pocket. Bad news it will only measure from the back of the unit. It has no level bubble. It has no case. It lacks many of the features I enjoyed on the previous model which died and could not be repaired. Where do I dispose of laser equipment, no guide from Leica available.

So much easier than holding a tape measure

Very impressed with the product. Compact, user friendly and very accurate.

Useless outdoors

This is a useful gadget for measuring short distances outdoors, or longer distances indoors.By short, I mean four or five metres. On a bright day it is completely useless outdoors because the small red dot that appears on the object you are measuring is invisible.Nowhere does it say this on the description of the item, so it is going back.

Very good product for the price

I bought it for outside measurements. I was impressed to see that it could be used even in bright light if you use the glasses that comes with the laser. It lacks some of the functions that other related products have, but it compensate with the mobile app and the Bluetooth connectivity.

You get what you pay for and a bit more

Simple to use, light, easily fits in pocket, transfers measurement via bluetooth to smart app on phone where they can also be saved and recalled at later date. Use to have to carry pencil and paper, do outline sketch then add measurements. Alternatively you can quickly make a number of measurements then recall them and either add them to your sheet of paper or maybe on your phone.
