It is super slow, brand new out of the box (bought it to start online university in January 2024) and yesterday December 25th '2023 I tried to look at the university emails and things, to see if I am missing something or need to something before I start in a few days. I dealt with it for about an hour and 20 minutes before I just shut it off and put it away. Not good at all, either it is a faulty item, or definitely this lenovo's are completely garbage. I bought one in Ohio in 2020, my kids broke it back then, but my wife told me not to buy one of those. I ordered this unit for the express purpose of running 2 programs involving my model railroad. Setup was kind of slow. I knew that it did not have much memory; but even for its limited use, it starts up slower than I expected. Once it has loaded up, it seems to run my programs with no problems. Considering the price, specs, and limited use on my part, it appears that it will serve its purpose reasonably well. For general browsing and email, I think you will find this unit up to the task.

I bought this to replace my 12 year old MacBook Pro. Fresh out of the box, this laptop was extremely slow to open any standard program or web browser, and the screen froze repeatedly for basic tasks. I couldn't even open more than one tab at a time without it freezing, the screen glitching, and having to force quit Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. I spent about an hour in frozen states, restarts, and on updating screens just trying to do a standard Google search. It was unusable. I boxed it up and applied for an online return the same day it was delivered.

The laptop was unusable. I should’ve done research on the intel chip on this thing. Nothing would load, even updates. It came needing 18 updates but was so slow, it took about 15 minutes to download and then another 10 minutes to install. And that was if I could get the setting screen to even pull up. After completing all updates, I was hoping it would’ve been faster and I was so wrong. It was the slowest laptop I’ve ever bought, I would not recommend, returned it the next day. I bought an HP with a better processor that is super fast and no problems.
Removed all removeable apps and programs I wouldn't use. Turned off all auto startup options. Still would take over 5 minutes from sign in to when a simple webpage would load. The Wifi 6 by itself does work well when I wait for ever to run ookla speedtest app, so its down to the processor or the very slow emmc "hard drive" or the system memory. Its in Windows 11 S mode, but no real reason to go to regular Windows 11 when it can't handle even the most basic of tasks. I can't recommend this for any use, unless you miss the old Windows 3.11 Windows for Workgroup days with a processor about twice as powerful as a nice graphic calculator. I like it so far, got it at a good deal, inexpensive, it runs good works good, good speed, WiFi work good, I am glad I got it before the holiday rush. Good value for the money I say. You can’t beat this deal of a good price. Good quality, it is awesome. It’s a good starter computer. Good sceeen size. I purchased this for personal use for me. It is not good to see these bad reviews of a nice laptop for a low price. A good basic laptop for browsing, streaming, etc. so far I’m starting to like Lenovo as this is a good laptop. This laptop for my budget. I’m glad I find the perfect laptop.
I was pleasantly surprised this laptop brings great value and decent speed. My main use of this laptop is for online school. It does come with a 1 year subscription of Microsoft 365 which is a nice bonus! Again, I only use this for online school and web surfing. I don’t intend to use it for gaming or any other tasks that require more RAM and space. I really like the slim design so it is easy to carry and put in a back pack for on the go. I have always enjoyed Lenovo products as my job uses this brand and I have had no issues with them.
I purchased online at Best Buy where I found it on promotion for $150. I’m an older man 70yo and normally I’m in bed by 10pm where I can be found using it as a TV to stream a baseball or football game or tennis match. Stunningly sharp picture with matching sound. You can feed it was solidly manufactured with the highest quality so likely it will be with me for years to come. When i turn in for the night i stow it easily in my nite stand drawer. Amazing quick charge and long lasting battery before recharging. Thank you Lenovo! Its just perfect!
Saw an ad pop up for this laptop and we were in the market for a new one. With my Lenovo rewards it came out to about $100. What do you get for $100? Exactly what you paid for. This computer took days to get all the Microsoft updates. Starts up quick but takes forever to start any application. Sometimes timing out and giving response errors. And that is just for Microsoft Edge. Most frustrating laptop I have ever bought. My guess is the computing world passed this computer by as it sat on the shelf for 3 years. It was probably optimized for Windows 10 and Microsoft Explorer. Not worth the effort to return. I plan on donating this computer. We ended up buying a legit laptop that cost 10x more but runs 1000x faster loading apps.
