A great little tablet!

I have an 8" tablet and sometimes it feels bulky when I take it out to places like during traveling or at a restaurant while eating. There's very minimal bloatware so it doesn't feel like anything that is installed is taking up a lot of space. And I'm actually using their entertainment center app, which combines any such entertainment apps (Amazon Video, YouTube, Movies Anywhere, etc.) into one spot to make it easier to view your content from. I didn't give it a full five stars because this tablet doesn't appear to be compatible with ANT+ apps, or apps that connect to health devices like your fitness watch or heart ... MoreThis is a pretty good tablet who think something 8" or larger is too big for their needs and yet needs something larger than the largest phone screens. It said the Garmin Connect app wasn't compatible and I was looking forward to using it with my Smart Watch. Other than that, it is a great little tablet that suits my daily needs, has one of the later versions of Android, is pretty fast. Screen resolution is good although I'm finding some services (YouTube specifically) are downgrading video quality to 720p or lower for watching movies or shows. It does look good when the service you're watching content through offers HD/UHD quality despite screen size. Recommended.

This tablet offers reasonable performance and screen display. It lags a bit under larger downloads and higher resolution video. A significant amount of Google bloatware is included with the unit and you might like or dislike these apps based on your individual preferences. Build material is decent. Sound from the one basic speaker is ok but nothing great. Not too many 7" tablets around but this is one of the better performers. It is easy to hold and carry, unlike the larger 8" and 11" tablets. It would be nice if one of the manufacturers developed a high end 7" tablet but perhaps in the future. Overall, a good buy if you can obtain one on sale.

Great educational tool for children; some lagging
8 April 2022

Upon receiving this, it did look a bit smaller than what we are typically use to but once we started using it, it was perfect for our 4 year old. I absolutely love the applications that are made available for my child to play and feel that they align with what I want to foster and develop. The parental controls while take some time to set up, are completely worth it and I am very satisfied with the ease of use after initial set up. I love that you can see how much time is spent on applications and that you can set up daily time limits and lock the tablet when limits are met, which sort of takes out the fight of telling him that he’s all done. We got my 4 year old This tablet after his insist use of using our phones for drawing, using the camera, timer, and other similar apps and this tablet with its applications has satisfied that need. He was easily able to navigate through the applications at ease without any help from us, after demonstrating to him the first time what the icons mean. Love that there is an option for multiple users but we haven’t needed to use it yet. The reason I give 3 stars is that from the get go the system does lag and can glitch at times, as in the application freezes at times. Some games have slow laggy sound to them. Sometimes when going from one application tk the next it can be choppy and laggy. There hasn’t been any complaints from my son except for the times applications do stop responding. It hasn’t been a problem for us but did want to note that about the quality of this tablet so that others know what to expect. Sound and sound quality is great, option for headphones as well. Overall we love it, and the case that comes with it is very protective. I would recommend this to other parents who are looking for educational screen time for their children as well as teaching some basic concepts of screen use in our ever inscreasing age of technology :)

Great little tablet for kids!
31 October 2022

I bought one of these for my nephew after he used my Lenovo tablet on an international flight. He loved the kids mode and his mom was so impressed with the range of apps and the fact that they’re all curated, age appropriate, and can be completely controlled from an app on her iPhone. It even alerts his mom if he does certain activities on the tablet, like try to download an app. The case has a little pull out piece on the back that acts as a kickstand when it’s out. It’s a great idea and simple enough that a four year old mastered it as an as we pointed it out to him. I’m very happy.

Ok. Bad interface.
26 February 2023

The hardware is fine. The tablet is sturdy. The case is nice. The graphics look good. But the kids' interface is horrible. It's very slow to load, which is mildly frustrating for an adult, and melt-down worthy for an impatient toddler. I have a lot of trouble getting in and out of apps because the swiping mechanics it employs are nearly impossible to use. If it wasn't for these two issues, I would love the tablet. The parental controls work as intended. I like the way the content is served. And although things load slowly, we don't have any issues with speed once in gameplay. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this tablet because the navigation and speed of the interface are too critical to accept the issues.

Running without Google Play or online accounts
30 December 2022

I generally use devices 'off the grid', not connecting to a Google, Lenovo, or Microsoft account. It was easy enough to install F-Droid and set up the tablet for what I needed: an audio player.I am uncertain why when I set up a second user I found settings to disable applications that do not display under the 'Apps & notifications' settings, namely Russian Applications and FSKAREN. Scary. Wondering if Karen and the Russians are listening to my music now.

Safe for and safe from my son
19 December 2021

This is just the tablet I was looking for. Exceeds my expectations actually. It’s safe for my 4 year old son to use, I like the parental features. I don’t have to worry about what he’s doing on the tablet when I’m not looking (purchasing all the games or sending emoji texts to random contacts). The tablet is also pretty safe FROM my son, I appreciate the kids case that came with it. Even though the tablet is protected by the case, my son is only 4. I don’t think any case can provide 100% protection from 4 year olds. But If something were to ever happen to the tablet (damage or if it simply broke), my wallet and sanity would still be safe. It’s a very affordable tablet, so it wouldn’t be so painful if It broke and I had to buy another one. And if I did have to ... MoreThis is just the tablet I was looking for. Not only is it safe and appropriate for my son to use, but I can get some use out of it too. My son and I would definitely recommend.

M7 = 4 Terrifics and 3 Suggestions for Improvement: 1) Resolution is significant, especially considering the very reasonable price. 2) Speed capability is worthy indeed, and in deed. Also, the tablet is crafted with ease of access in mind. 3) Battery life is surely comparatively long lasting. 4) Earplugs' stereo sound is a resounding plus. 5) I would have liked the Google Assistant to have Hey, Google compatibility with the Google Go. 6) I would have liked a separate Lock Rotation compatibility with other more variable apps, for I am not crazy about the Auto Rotate function. 7) I would have liked to have a case protector option rather than the kid's buffer protector, for I am an adult. In conclusion, overall the M7 is noTABle as a budget friendly choice.

Well Built Device, Great Price, Perfect for Kids
1 April 2022

I would recommend this purchase for any parent looking for a quality device for their 8yo or younger. It is a very well made, quality piece of hardware. The UI is perfect for my 5yo, and it took me less than 5 minutes to set it up. Using google family link, i have the control I need to be a responsible parent, while giving my child the freedom to explore. The included bumper ensures the longevity of the device in the hands of my daughter. I got it for a great price, and very happy with the purchase. I was looking at devices from Apple and Samsung that were exponentially more expensive, with less value for my use. If you have a younger kid... this is a good purchase.
