I needed a Win-based tablet for onsite work, but wanted it to feel as much like a laptop as possible. I needed a minimum of an i7, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD and more than 1 USB port. I'd been looking at the MS Surface (we used a LOT of them at a previous job) but they were almost the same price as a very capable laptop once I got the keyboard and a dock to get the ports I needed. This Lenovo had everything I needed, plus it allowed for expansion (maxed the RAM to 40GB for less than $70 and added a second M.2), and it was on sale. I've had it for a couple weeks and have used it in-office and on jobsites (doing field work with 3D point clouds) and it hasn't stumbled at all. Most of the time, I'm indoors and running at 3/4 brightness or less.I have been surprised by how much I use tent mode. The 2-in-1 form factor permits tablet, tent, and laptop, and all 3 have been quite helpful, more so than expected.All in all, I'm very pleased with the device and highly recommend.

The "blue" option is a very visible dark blue (contrary to what I read in reviews) and is a nice, unique color that's just different enough from most black laptops. I really like this new machine. It is much faster than my 8 year old Yoga 2 Pro I've had since 2014 but it still works! I just thought it might be time to upgrade. After doing a lengthy research on several different PCs, I found this one which was very similar to my old Yoga. For some reason I thought the ThinkPad was always the way to go with Lenovos, but I have been pleasently surprised with the portability, versitility, and polish of this form factor. The thinkbook lineup of keyboard, touchpad, and bottom chassis is just like any other thinkbook product (smooth touchpad, shallow key travel, relatively sharp edge). The integrated pen with a silicon tip is non-nonsense, and works well with the screen.Problem 1: Weak Hinge and hinge design. The hinge is too loose so the top part of the laptop would move when you pick it up the laptop. I will say, when there are 3+ excel files being processed with 20x1400 arrays, it’s a little slow to respond. However I’ve found that’s the case with other computers I’ve used too and it always recovers after a few moments. The 2 in 1 feature is great for reading papers, and the backlit keyboard is a nice feature that my old laptop did not have. The only thing I regret about this laptop is that the trackpad doesn’t have the 2 additional click buttons. For the data analysis I do, having separate left and right click buttons is really helpful. Some people were concerned about the 300 nit screen but it is more than enough for me. Tons of speed/power and decent battery. Decent connections for the smaller size. Wish the usb c charger cord would rotate or have some sort of safety release (old school 90 degree bend plugs didn't get in the way as much). Very happy, has a little bit of video power to run games decently which is a bonus and was unexpected considering it is not dedicated.
