A high-value upgrade

Maximum brightness is actually too bright for me, so I keep it around 80% and can work comfortably. I use HDMI, but did test USB C for video and it worked fine. It's PnP but worked optimally with the driver download. When I need to pack it away, it's easy to pop it into portrait mode and put it on a shelf. Criticisms - 1. The supplied paper setup manual was pretty skimpy (IMHO it should have more information than IKEA flatpack instructions). 2. Lenovo could make finding the driver a little easier, especially when it's connected to another Lenovo device. 3.The position of the power & ports means you need to have more than a little slack when pivoting from landscape to portrait.

I bought this monitor as a work monitor for it's size but to also double as a color accurate display for photo editing. The color and resolution are superb. I absolutely love the thin bezels and matte display surface that cuts down o glare. It's a joy to look at. Not to mention the ease of use. I have multiple sources hooked up at once and not having to constantly switch sources manually is quite a luxury. The daisy chain feature is also a plus. Couldn't ask for a better set of monitors.

There are a couple of main things to be aware of when purchasing this monitor:* One of the most important features to me while when purchasing a monitor was the USB C data + charging capacity. That said, while the Dell and the 13" Mac will charge without issue, the 15" Mac will struggle to keep up if I'm running a power-hungry app such as Docker. It was unfortunate to catch the 15" Mac at 4% battery the other day when I thought it had been charging more quickly the whole time. I now have an additional power brick hooked up to the Mac so it can charge at full speed.* The second major thing to consider is the color accuracy of the monitor. No matter how I configure the color settings within the monitor and my personal Mac, the color of the monitor is always slightly warmer than the Mac's Retina display and my other 2k monitor. Unfortunately, as I edit photos quite frequently in my personal life, this meant that the Lenovo monitor was unable to become my "daily driver".All of this said, if you're not using this monitor to edit photos, I think it's quite hard to find a 2K, USB C monitor from a reputable brand at this price point. Even with my two negative bullets above, I still have recommended this monitor to friends already.

Good looking monitor for work and productivity.
25 October 2022

Missed the first delivery but received the monitor the next day. The box was a bit beat up when I got it but no damage to monitor when I opened it. In the box, there's a monitor, a monitor stand, power cable, and three cables(USBC, HDMI, etc...). The monitor looks good when set it up. It is a bit heavy. It has built in audio speakers. The speaker is good but not great. The picture quality is good and looks good with edge to edge screen. It cost a bit more than other similar 2k monitors. It's a great monitor for work and productivity. It's not a gaming monitor, it only has 60 herz refresh rate.

Good mixture of features

I am very happy with these monitors. I purchased two of them specifically to use in the daisy chaining mode. Connecting to my laptop with a single USB-C cable to drive two monitors, charge my laptop and use the usb hub connect my external devices has been great. The fact that the monitors can have their height adjusted and have so much flexibility in movement (tilt, swivel, etc) helps to make sure they are in a good position to not put strain on your posture. The QHD resolution is also the perfect fit for this size monitor. Anything less and I cannot fit enough on the screen (I work a lot with spreadsheets and multiple documents). Anything higher and I will be straining my eyes. My only gripe is that the speaker quality could be better, but I had a spare set of ... MoreI am very happy with these monitors. Extremely happy with my purchase. The screen is very big and display is high quality, and it works so well with my Macbook.I can easily use it as a second monitor (with my MacBook), or I can connect it to my closed laptop (folded and put aside) and the monitor will be the main screen. You do not need any software or extra steps for it, just connect the single cable and everything will work well. One more thing that I did not pay attention to when purchasing was that I no longer need to connect my laptop's charger; the monitor charges my laptop now. Great Monitors! Daisy Chain Details Explained.

These work great for my use case! Just because there is not much info on daisy chaining, I thought it might be helpful to cover some information I found out about these.> If you have a USB - C input and DP input at the same time, the monitors will always default to DP. You can change this in the settings but would have to select it each time. I have found it easier to just unplug my DP input when not using that computer as I switch between a few PCs throughout the day.> you can daisy chain video (via DP between monitors) and daisy chain the USB (USB 3.1 out of a port on the master monitor, into the USB - C input on the slave monitor) doing this means that you have 7 USB ports on the monitors in total, one on the master is used to provide data to the slave.>One ... MoreThese work great for my use case! This is a great feature! The USB-C connection also provides power to your laptop in standby mode.>Ethernet does not flow upstream between the monitors. You must have the ethernet cable plugged into your master monitor for it to be carried to the PC. I don't see this documented anywhere, but it may be because the connection between monitors isn't TB.> I have my desk set up from left to right PC>master monitor > slave monitor. This makes adjusting the settings on the master monitor a bit annoying as the buttons are on the right side, and are blocked by the screen to the left, it's not worth it to change the layout for me, but all things being equal having the master on the left would be easier.>Lenovo does not sell a "dumb" monitor that looks the same. I was hoping to be able to purchase a cheaper monitor that matches but has less functionality for the "end" of the daisy chain, as that final DP output port is wasted.

I shopped around for quite a while and this monitor checked off all of my major boxes.I did have difficulty at first when trying to connect it to my MacBook Pro, (bought new in 2021) with a USB-C cable. I don’t know if the problem was fixed with updates, or just my computer learning it, but less than a week after having the monitor, I no longer have issues. Once in a while I have to plug, unplug, and replug in the video cable for it to recognize it, and it works just fine then.Quick observations.1- when using USB-C connections it charges your laptop automatically whether you want it to or not (not great for your battery long term to be plugged in all day at 100%).2- I can only get clamshell mode (using monitor to display the screen of my laptop while it is ... MoreI shopped around for quite a while and this monitor checked off all of my major boxes.I did have difficulty at first when trying to connect it to my MacBook Pro, (bought new in 2021) with a USB-C cable. For my use this is a non-issue, especially at this price point. I do not fear that the monitor will fall, but if you rock your table, the screen may jiggle a little.6- I love the height adjustability.

I have tried plugging in thumb drives and accessories to it while the monitor is used via hdmi and displayport, and the devices are not recognized. Just to be clear, all said devices work when plugged directly to the PC/Mac, and are also recognized and function when plugged to the monitor's USB hub, WHEN THE MONITOR IS USED VIA USB Type-C. That should be made clear on all marketing materials for transparency purposes and to save people the unnecessary trouble of figuring it out on their own.* Use of the controls on the screen is counter-intuitive. I read about this prior to purchase though, but thought it wouldn't be an issue. Be prepared to go go in loops while trying to chase settings, even if you will most likely set-it-and-forget-it as is usually the case with that.* No software to switch user settings as with some LG models that I was considering prior to purchasing this one.Lastly, while using a perfectly operating set of speakers via the 3.5mm headphone out on the back of the monitor, we have noticed in various instances that music played from youtube, pandora and amazon prime has panned from one side to the other and then returns to both speakers. This has happened while using both computers so I don't think it's either of them, but I haven't spent enough time trying to figure that out to say it is definitely the monitor. LENOVO, PLEASE REACH OUT AND HELP RESOLVE THIS IF IT IS A KNOWN ISSUE.Overall, my wife and I are pretty content with the monitor, and are hopeful that it lasts as long as our Dell, which by the way is still going strong.
