Leukostrip wound closure strips are a low-allergy wound closure strip, which offers secure adhesion and reduces the risk of scarring. They are made of 100% polyamide material coated with a hypoallergenic adhesive, allowing almost pain-free closure of the wound. The strips are permeable to moisture and air, and are sterile and individually sealed. Key features include holding wounds together, reducing the risk of scarring, stretching with the wound, and allowing movement. The hypoallergenic adhesive makes them suitable for sensitive skin. The package contains 3 pouches of 3 strips. To use, remove the backing from one side and lift one strip off at a time, applying at right angles to the cut. Lightly press to ensure adhesion and gently push wound edges together. Avoid overstretching and place strips approximately 5mm apart. The wound can then be covered with a wound pad or a waterproof dressing. To remove the strips, bathe the wound area with water and gently lift off from the middle, pulling away gently.
