I have been seeking a revival of my favorite jean--the Levi's 501--and the 90's Original fits the bill. The rise, not too high, not too low; the fit, a bit loose with a straight leg; the button fly; the right length; the denim, a medium weight. They are perfect.

I ordered a 28 because I wanted them loose. I have the blue denim in 28 and 27. Not much difference. There is only one thing that I’m not crazy about. The bootie area is too loose no matter which of the two sizes. Granted I have small bootie so I’m forgiving of that problem but I think that a smaller size would be tighter in that area but no both sizes are the same. Anyway I love the comfort and that they are mid rise.

I have these pants in 3 different washes because I love them so much. They are the perfect baggy jean without looking frumpy or giving you a saggy butt. They hit right below the belly button for a flattering low rise without showing too much stomach. For reference I am 5'9" and the 32 inseam is perfection

Complete and utter perfection. Mid-rise but are still flattering. They do not hug my legs but have a good shape to define my thighs (not squeeze) while also giving me a nice look at my calves. I wear them more than any other pair of jeans and never bunch in uncomfortable places (e.g. crotch area). They are the "natural beauty" of pants because they make my figure look good while also not doing too much like sinching my waist and making me uncomfortable. Amazing stretch and I can do everything (e.g. squat) without having to worry about discomfort. The buttons and belt area do not bunch awkwardly and they give me a good amount of room in the hip area without looking baggy. My favorite pair of jeans and I love them ALMOST as much as my cat. My daughter loved these pants. So, when she dropped 4 sizes I tried to surprise her with a new pair while they were on sale for 50% off. When I ordered them there was stock, not low stock. I got a confirmation and an arrival date. When that date passed I received an email stating there was a delay. My payment was charged but no word on when the pants would arrive. I called customer service after several days and was told that "unfortunately there was a glitch" . The pants were no longer available. I was issued a refund and 20% off a future order. Gee, thanks Levi's. Way to go
I went to my local Levi's store and tried on a pair. I'm 5'1 104 pounds with a 26 inch waist and the 26, 30 was perfect! I love them. I have a similar 90's style pair from American Eagle and these one's are much more flattering. The closure buttons in the front prevent bubbling, so there's no weird bulge when I sit down. The edge of the jean hits the floor when I'm barefoot, but since I wear boots it keeps them off the ground. It's definitely something to keep in mind if you're on the shorter side like me, but they offer a hemming service in store so that's nice. Overall, really nice pair of jeans. I highly recommend them.

Really love these 90s jeans. Yes, they are kind of roomy but I still had to size up to 28 from my regular 26-27 so they fit in my hips and not high and tight. Live they they don’t taper like so many supposed loose fit jeans these days.My pair came with a couple little bleach marks but love them so much I’m just going with it. More colors please, no rips necessary;)
Perfect jeans for my taste. Loose, not too baggy. My only issue is inconsistent sizing between the different color washes. One size will be huge but the next size down is too tight. Will definitely buy again and again.
I bought these in-store sized down two sizes. The effect I got was fitted around the butt but the legs are still a really relaxed straight fit. The longer hem means they hit really nicely on top of my sneakers too. I would really recommend trying in-store because the 27 had an amazing relaxed look but looked really odd around my butt.
