Although my Canon R5 supports both SD and CFexpress cards, I was waiting for price reductions on the CFexpress cards. I had never previously tried shooting with a CFexpress card. Now that I have, I have a feeling SD cards will be less prominent in my camera. The differences in speed is remarkably noticeable. What's more, the transfer speed to my iMac is ridiculously fast. Lexar was my go-to SD card provider and they will certainly be my go-to CFexpress provider.

CFexpress and XQD Cards are my favorite memory cards. They offer both speed and durability. No bent pins like the old Compact Flash cards were known to suffer, and not too small and thin like SD cards. The included reader feels substantial. Time will tell, but I get the impression it will last for years of use and travel.

I took advantage of this special offer to get another CFexpress-B card for my D850. It excels over the best SD cards with increased transfer speed and a sturdier build quality. Not only for video but also for fast shooting with the large file sizes of the D850 in Raw mode. Even transferring from the card to a PC is noticeably faster.

Good card NOT Great
18 August 2022

The read/write speed of this card is not up to professional standard in my opinion. My older Sony XQD card has a 400 read/write speed which means that during continuous shoot the buffer does not fill like it does with the slower Lexar card. The accompanying reader works well but comes with a USB connector and no adaptors should your computer not have a USB port.In all the Lexar card does a very competent job. The transfer speed to your computer is excellent. It is worth the cost but it has its limitations.

Great Speed & Combo Speeds
2 September 2021

New to CFexpress, I'm impressed by the Speed of both the memory write speed in camera; AND not to forget the blazing speed this CFexpress downloaded the images. Instead of using the cable that came with the Reader, I just plugged it into a UHS-C cable connected to an open Thunderbolt port. The reader is heavy and seems to be very solidly built too with rubber underneath to keep it solidly on your desktop. The file downloading is blazing! I've used Lexar brand cards for years and at this point have no reason to stop. I'll be an even happier camper if these new ones continue to work as well as previous CF and SD cards in my wallets.

If zero stars were an option, it would be zero.

Have been shooting Canon R5 for several months. Decided to get a CFexpress card. The bundle was at the best price even though I have never owned anything but SanDisk before. I thought that I would give this deal a chance and buy a larger card later. Both the card and reader seemed well built. Formatted the card in Camera, shot a dozen test picks. The images showed up in the camera. It took the reader 5-10 min. to render images in Adobe Bridge. When I tried (several times) to download the images, nothing happened. One one try, my computer crashed. Ok, the reader didn't work. So I then tried other methods to retrieve the images to no avail. Even a direct hard wire to the camera would not work. B&H was great about this whole thing. Although they didn't say so, it ... MoreHave been shooting Canon R5 for several months. Decided to get a CFexpress card. They recommended another set up for me which will be arriving soon. I have read that others have had a good experience with the Lexar bundle; not me. Thanks B&H but no thanks to Lexar.

No Issues, Gets SMOKIN' Hot
7 June 2022

This is now the fastest card I own for read or write speeds, though sustained read speeds on Win11 are around 650MB/s. Buffer on Z6 II clears almost instantly when shooting to just this card.It gets the HOTTEST when using with ProGrade's USB-C card reader for both CFExpress B and UHS-II cards. Even when using this card alone, it gets SO hot, even at idle. Be careful when using in conjunction with that card reader.

This card FAILED
28 July 2021

I purchased two of these cards and found that when I went to download the cards the computer showed 0 files - putting them back in the Nikon Z camera I confirmed the presence of over 1000 raw files. I tried to use multiple recovery softwares and found the drives weren't even recognized as present. The only way I could access my files was to hotwire the camera with a USB and download through the Nikon software. I reformatted the cards and tried again and again and same problems. I would caution anyone shooting with Nikon Z or any camera actually that this product has issues. I have other LEXAR cards in my inventory of cards as well as Sony - I have both sony and Lexar card readers - both reader types had the same result. This was a white knuckle flight on a high profile assignment - I'm looking for an explanation.

after evaluating the write speed of CF card in a Camera, finally decided to spend such $100 for an upgrade. Last time a CF card was used the capacitor was merely 8GB. Thought CF card was long dead but realized some camera still prefer faster CF write speed over SD. Nice 128GB storage. The write speed can be felt immediately when shooting burst with RAW format. If using a card adapter, this CF card can reach over 100MB continuous write. This 100MB is faster than most SD card these days, well, should justify its price tag.

functions as hoped

This card seems to be ruggedly built and functions well. I can easily tell that write speeds in my camera and transfer speeds to my computer are much faster than my XQD cards I'd been using in my D850. I had initially mistakenly thought that my Sony XQD/SD card reader would work with this card and that CF express was merely a faster variant of XQD. After some confusion, I realized that CF express is quite different from XQD even thought they externally appear similar. I was forced to buy a new CF express/XQD Sony card reader which has worked well. I did leave the card in the reader overnight and was surprised that it gets quite warm even though it was supposedly just idle in the reader. Not hot to the touch, but very warm, so I always remove the card from the card ... MoreThis card seems to be ruggedly built and functions well. I don't think this would hurt the card, but why waste the energy heating a card and reader.
