Huge capacity in one card. Obviously, this volume is suitable for longer duration video and that is primary reason for purchase. With media failure (and/or loss of a card) always a possibility, there is no way one should entrust backup of important photos of a volume to fill this card to only one SDXC card. If photo backup is the goal, much wiser to use multiple cards of lesser capacity. Likewise if using it for a photo shoot. The adage, don't put all of your eggs in one basket is so true in this case. Additionally, the write speed with this card is not such that it should be the primary consideration for a DSLR that does not have a high buffer storage on its own (meaning, if shooting photos at a high frame rate, a card with faster write speed should be considered). ... MoreHuge capacity in one card. However, if longer duration video with a DSLR is the goal, there do not appear to be many good inexpensive alternatives to a large capacity memory card, such as this.

I've been buying Lexar cards for years and haven't had any issues with them. I keep this card in my main camera and never have to worry about running out of space despite the large files sizes. I haven't encountered any buffering issues, but I don't shoot sports so can't attest that it will hold up to any amount of shooting.

Thank GOD I did not trust this in my 5DM4. This failed in the basic need to just hold files for my Windows system. Complete failure. 35 days after my purchase, so no returns. Lexar offered full refund. only, they shorted me 10% for fees. and, they only refund to PayPal.Avoid Lexar. Stay with SanDisk if you value your work, time, and funds.

Bought it on sale at a great price. Performance is very close to spec. Write speed, especially, is very good at 75MB/Sec consistent when transferring large video files.I've never had a problem with Lexar products. This card will be well used with my Sony FDR-AX700 camcorder recording 4K video at 100Mb/sec.BTW- At the max. recording bit rate, this card should hold about 22 Hrs. of 4K video. Amazing!
1,5 years ago I purchased, at B&H, a set of 2 Lexar Professional SD XC II 256GB, 150MB/S, 1000X. I need two, for two different projects: one in Myanmar and one in Thailand, both for photography, using my Nikon D810 and lens.I saved one SD card for each country. When I returned to my home country, on the first week, I just downloaded few pictures, since I didn't have enough time and I need them. Few weeks later, when I had more time to edit all pictures, I tried to download all pictures, when I had the (bad) surprise. The SD card with pictures of Myanmar was empty! Even worse: my camera just showed a message: "format the card". I tried to connect it via USB to my computer, and my computer didn't recognize it. I couldn't believe! Even worse: my camera just showed a message: "format the card". I tried to connect it via USB to my computer, and my computer didn't recognize it. I couldn't believe! I had some of the best pictures I have ever took, some could give me good money - but now, everything seemed to be gone!I contacted Lexar customer service and they asked me to send it to their lab, in California. I did so. Few days later, I receive an email saying that they couldn't fix it and that they have no idea about what happened.I just couldn't believe! How this company threw my work in the trash. No "excuse us" or "sorry". I paid a lot of money for those cards - maybe they were the most expensive on that time, at B&H - and that was for nothing. One of the simply died and Lexar did nothing. So, for your better state of mind and to save your work: AVOID PURCHASING ANYTHING FROM LEXAR. Trust me.
People praise Sandisk but I don't get it, I had quite a few of their cards getting corrupt and losing photos. That's not acceptable for professionals who can't risk that.On the other hand, Lexar has been perfect so far - hasn't been corrupted even once so far, so I will stick with these guys. They are my favorite SD RAM maker.
Under normal use the thin plastic casing fell off. I put it back on several time and asked Lexar to send a replacement case, they are less than paper thin and don't hold up well. They closed the request and ignored it. After asking again for a case they asked for photos which were sent, by this time it had jammed in the camera several time due to the case coming open while the card was in use. Now they refuse to replace the case because the case is damaged and "Lexar does not have the means to repair non-working products due to a recent move into new ownership." yet they also claim "The company will continue to provide support to existing customers through this transition period." Must have been a short period. Lexar (Micron) can't make money off these and dumped the whole line. You will get no support, once the stock is gone it's gone. Poor Quality, paper thin case, won't warranty, can't fix... seems you might as well buy them directly from china. Don't buy Lexar, don't buy Micron, better service from China.
I got this card so that I don't have to keep changing out my cards every few shoots. I bracket all my shots in RAW and often shoot subjects from several angles using different apertures so that I have the greatest number of options to print from. That means a day's photographs in a nice location can add up to tens of gigabytes. With this card, I anticipate being able to shoot for nearly a year before I have to delete folders or format the card, providing me extra peace of mind about accidentally losing or deleting original files.
Immediately used F3write to test the card for a fake. Took about three hours to write to every block. It averaged 78.27MBps over the entire test. I'm sure its capable of a fast rate. I was using the computer for other things during the test so its likely underreporting and probably closer to 78.6MBps sustained. The card was warm, but not hot. 6 hours later I tested 4K video recording.Using the Canon R5, 4K HQ Canon Log 3, about 470 Mbps, I recorded for 20 minutes without any skipped frames. A card must be able to sustain 59 MBps to record 4K video at that bit rate. While I still use CFexpress as my primary slot for video, it's good to have an additional 1TB in the SD card slot. Good for travel and not worried of filling up the camera on a busy day out.
initially showed errors on my Nikon D800. BH chat responded ... more complaints / problems with Lexar ... can return for credit & buy other brand. Nikon shows the Lexar SDXC as compatible with D800. No mention of upper memory limit. However, the sale price was very low. I tried reformatting, twice, & after several weeks no problems. Not sure why BH continues to sell if having more complaints on Lexar than brands. Maybe stock chat answer? However, probably won't buy Lexar again.
