I bought this because of the Professional label. I find typically that products designed for industrial or business use tend to last longer and work better than those marketed for home use. This has lived up to those expectations. I get the full speed of this drive using both Thunderbolt 4 and USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 ports. It's very sturdy, a little bigger than some external SSDs but nowhere near the size of an external HDD. I'm using it to backup files from my PC, works great on Windows 11 and Debian 12.

Purchased for transferring files between home devices. This drive is fast. I had a much older Lexar SSD but the USB 3.2 is a huge leap in speed. I do find the drive can get quite warm when working hard but it’s not alarming. This SSD has already become indispensable. I easily move large files and media from my PC to my laptop for both secure backup and for travel.

The SL600 is a very lightweight and portable SSD. It’s a sleek looking device that enables me to transfer large video files on the go. I like the way it feels in my hand as it appears to be made with qualitymaterials, and it feels sturdy and not cheap. The transfer speed is snappy even if you don’t have hardware that supports USB 3.2 Gen 2x2, I bought it so I can be future-proof when I upgrade to new computer since these good SSD are fairly pricey. I think it provides a good overall value since it’s around $100.
Got a new Tesla and I noticed that certain events were not being recorded by the dashcam or Sentry mode. After researching online, it seems to be a problem with the slow performance of the included USB flash drive from Tesla. Got the Lexar SL600 1TB External SSD and so far so good. Videos are loading faster when I check the recorded events and haven't noticed any missed events yet. It was also nice that the drive came bundled with two cables, a usb c to c and a usb c to a cable. Would have been nice if the cable was shorter but I'm just nitpicking since I'm sure the intended use wasn't for it to be stuffed inside a Tesla glovebox.
