My mum recommended this brand bc her LG front loader lasted 18 years. After having a bosch for 7yrs, dials dying off and it sounding like a spaceship, this one sounds and cleans wonderfully. I read some of the lower rated reviews and mentioned it to the salesman. A few simple explanations made me purchase. Someone mentioned a load takes 2 hours. The reason behind that is the washer detects the load based on weight. So if you have put too many clothes in there, it calculates the amount of time it takes to clean. There are many different programs but it depends on weight. Another review mentioned it was noisy. Tbh, its not as big as other 10kgs front loaders- it has a slightly smaller capacity however that suited me as my Bosch was 7kgs and I didnt have to alter any cabinets. When you measure some of the 10kg washers depth, many stick out another 500mms. Good to mention Good guys did better than the cheapest price I found so win/win. Am super happy with the purchase and I found it reasonably price. Fingers crossed, I get longevity out of this machine as with 2 kids and a tradie, its constantly on

Pretty sure its not a 10kg washer. Given this under warranty replacement as a like for like but it isnt. The drum is less than half the size of my old 10kg. Washes okay but theres only one cycle I can use really as the others are all sensor ones which take about 2-3 minutes to sense then start then it tells me what length, temp and spin it will be doing so I have to stand and watch it so I can stop it if I dont agree with the washer choice. So inconvenient and worth about half the money I spent on my original one. Not a suitable replacement at all.

Be warned that liquid detergents sud up a LOT in this machine. I only use 1/2 liquid of what you're supposed to for a load and have tried 4 different brands. I use vinegar as softener and my towels come out extremely soft. Downsides are that when the machine is overloaded/imbalanced, it continues to spin and stop repeatedly and gets stuck at a minute interval. So if it had 7 minutes left when it malfunctioned, it will continue to spin for eternity whilst displaying 7 minutes to go still. I feel like this damages the machine a lot, it should just stop and read an error code. Had to be 9 or 10kg as we wash a lot (family of 4), had to fit in the space (for a 10kg machine this LG's dimensions are great) and had to be easy to use / good spin speed (1400 for this LG is pretty good). Ive only had this machine since Thursday, so I havnt had it long enough to give a true rating. I have been trying to set up the smart ThinQ app on my phone. Wifi has found it but when I go into the smart home app its telling me to add XXXX 2 times for the password when I am asked to add it in the wifi after pressing LG front washing machine. I have tried this and everything else related to wifi but it keeps telling me its the wrong password. Do I put it in twice with a space in between or what, as continuous XXXXXXXX isn't working. A QR code would be so easy for this. The machine flashes the wifi symbol and wifi picking it up but not accepting the password that smart home is telling me to add. Can anyone guide me through this crap. Thanks.

It met all the requirements I was looking for in value for money, capacity, conservative water consumption, ease of use and a reputable brand that was transparent about where it is manufactured. I was aware this particular model comes in a grey design, but to be honest the white looks great and it does the same thing for less. The initial setup was very easy to follow and I had it installed and washing in no time at all. The AI wash selection is quite handy as well as having a broad selection of washing options to choose from without being over complicated. A standout design feature for me would have to be the door. My last washing machine was an LG it lasted me for a long time. So I bought another LG , but with this one I love the features that I can turn it on or pause using my phone. Its very convenient that I can, also see how long the cycle has left to finish and it even tells you when its due for a Tub Clean. Through the App its tells you everything all the progress of the machine also has a feature that tells you whats wrong with the machine. This LG Machine washes/spins extremely well. I highly recommend this washing machine especially if you have a big family.
Noisy, bouncy. Spin cycle goes so fast it’s like it’s about to take off. Unable to be adjusted. I had a washer dryer combo from LG that was amazing. I should’ve spent up to get another. This thing is rubbish. I’d return it if I could. I’d spend more than double to buy the best this thing is that bad. No adjustability on the cycles for spin, water temperature or time. A worthless piece of metal, it vibrates through the house. The old one was silent, you could put it on as you slept. Not this one, you could wake up the dead. A very regrettable purchase
