This dryer is the best thing I have ever bought ! A few months ago I bought a top loader LG washer and I went back to get the 9 star rated heat pump dryer ! I love it - not only is it economical but it has multiple programs and it sensors when things are dry. It is so quiet and the laundry doesnt get all steamed up or hot. I bought the black exterior and it doesnt show any marks or dust. Thanks Good guys and LG - Im so happy with this purchase- its an amazing product- knowing that I wont be using hardy any electricity. The other bonus was the drying rack that goes in for shoes - I have already done the grandkids slippers !

This is an amazing dryer. We upgraded to this dryer from a vented dryer and it's a life changer. It is super quiet and has lots of programs and the ability to controll the dryer from the app is very convenient. I use to hang dry all of my work shirts because my old dryer would shrink them, but the heat pump does not shrink clothes so it makes it very easy to dump everything from our washing machine straight into the dryer. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. No complaints and very happy.

Hi. We purchased this dryer a week ago and needed to have a catch up of bedding with many loads to do. To our disappointment we discovered it is impossible to dry any sheets or doona covers without it balling up. We found we had to continuously monitor the sheet balling then stop and start the dryer many times to untangle. This happens so much and at the end of the drying cycle all sheets are still quite damp. We even put in one sheet at a time with no luck. Forget even trying to dry flannel sheets. We are using the duvet cycle (per instruction book) and even tried a delicate cycle to see if it would move slower with less tangle. The reason this is a surprise is that our previous 10kg heat vented dryer had no problem drying sheets and all came out dry and without ... MoreHi. We are perplexed on why such a nice highend dryer and supposedly 10kg can't do this properly. We weren't informed of this disadvantage when purchasing it. Thank you.

As described. Expensive drier, you will have to empty the water every second load, but it's nice the water doesn't just run down the walls, like with the standard driers. The sync with the washer is good, the thinQ app is pretty much gimmicky and doesn't really provide too much except for a notification on your phone. The energy monitor in the app doesn't give you any real world data, just a graph almost 11 with the usage graph.Couldn't really recommend it to others for the price paid. Other cheaper driers will also dry your clothes. However I don't regret this purchase
We upgraded to this dryer when our old conventional one died. Its much quicker and the clothes are actually dry when it finishes. Being a heat pump it also means we don't have to leave windows open or have water dripping off the walls when we use the dryer. It works well with the new washing machine as well to automatically pick a cycle so you really only need to load the clothes and press start
This dryer has lots of good features and is very economical to run. However it has one major design flaw that leaves me a little bewildered as to how a company such as LG could market a product that simply falls short. The dryer only revolves in one direction. This causes larger items such as bed sheets to end up in one big tangled ball. It is fine with towels and most clothing size items, but if you are planning to wash a lot of bed sheets then make sure you get a dryer that intermittently reverses direction. We have kept, and still use, our old dryer for bed sheets.
I've now owned this 10kg heat pump dryer for about a month now and have put it through its paces. A 10kg load can dry in as little as 1 1/2 hour depending on the load. I've even done my super king bedding. To my disappointment it does ball up. Don't believe sales staff saying it reverse tumbles. It doesn't, however the bedding came out dry. I did stop the cycle twice to untangle. Overall I'm happy with my purchase it's almost as fast as drying as the 4 star vented I had. Good job LG. Just wished it reversed tumbled
I initially had washing/dryer combo(condenser dryer) It took 6-7hours to dry with anything. so I purchased the F&P vented dryer which generated too much humidity in my house and also expensive to run everyday during the wet season. I decided to invest $$ to replace to the LG heat pump dryer. I used pretty much everyday for 2-3months and my energy bill was actually lower than when I had the vented dryer using only a couple of times in a week. It’s is really cost effective way to dry the clothes and it does dry clothes really well. Also it’s very quiet to run and sometimes I forget that the dryer is on. And LG was the only company makes the heat pump dryer over 10kg so this was perfect machine for my family of 4. Highly recommend this dryer.
With such good capacity, this machine fits all are clothes,i.e., be it whites or multi-colour, cotton, silk, linen, doona, pillows or pillowcases, towels, etc. Using only a fraction of washing powder, all cycles result in clean and fresh laundry. The technology allows to keep track of remaining cycles before the drum cleaning cycle is due. It also reports on energy usage. Overall extremely satisfied with this purchase.
We wish we never would have bought this dryer. We moved from the US where LG is a big name brand so we thought we'd be getting a high quality product when we purchased this dryer. Unfortunately it's awful and I wish we could return it and buy something from a different brand. The drum is large enough to dry big loads of clothes (which is why we bought the 10kg size in the first place), but it will take FOREVER to dry them completely (we're talking 3-4 hours sometimes). We normally have to run two cycles to completely dry heavy clothes like sweatshirts/jackets. The worst part is a major design flaw where the holes to the lint trap are way too big compare to other brands of dryers and this causes the ends of drawstrings (like from a hooded sweatshirt, or pairs of my ... MoreWe wish we never would have bought this dryer. We normally have to run two cycles to completely dry heavy clothes like sweatshirts/jackets. The worst part is a major design flaw where the holes to the lint trap are way too big compare to other brands of dryers and this causes the ends of drawstrings (like from a hooded sweatshirt, or pairs of my kids pants) to get caught in the hole and then as the clothes tumble around in the same direction for 3ish hours, it twists the string so much that it rips the string and/or the clothing it's attached to! We have already had to throw way 3 pairs of my son's pants and one pair of shorts because of this. I contacted LG and they said there was nothing they could do and just to put clothes with drawstrings in a net bag. Almost every pair of my kids pants have drawstrings so this is not feasible. If you have clothes with drawstrings do NOT buy this dryer! Go with another brand with smaller holes on the lint trap.
