No drama of removing aesthetic bits to get stuff mounted and having to keep track of them if you want to put it back on its stand.Then there are the things that might be great or might be awful because they are opinion things. I REALLY like that the connectors are just there on the back of the display. This LG 38WR85QC-W 38 inch was bought as open box so basically brand new. Was worried after I bought it though because I forgot to check the return policy and saw no returns, but decided to roll with it. Monitor has no dead pixels or missing accessories or issues and I saved around $200 buying this open box off of ebay vs brand new from LG. You never know with certain sellers but I have had no issues here. Monitor is great. I think it's one of the best out there for both gaming and work. My opinion is you don't need anything bigger than this. I'm coming from a 42in LG C2 oled tv as a monitor and I can say it is a bit overwhelming at times. As a mobile app developer it is great to be able to view your code, debug console and emulator in one screen without having to turn your head, with 2x 27 you get more screen real estate but most of the time my main focus was in one monitor and working position wasn't confortable at all.To my surprise this monitor screen height is bigger than my 27 in monitors, similar to a 32 monitor which is great for productivity.My Macbook Pro M2 Max can output 1600p at 144hz through thunderbolt and charge at the same time, the HDMI ports supports 75hz refresh rate. It does that sound even when the screen is sleeping.- The USB hub doesn't output enough power to charge my keycron keyboard.

I can barely even see mine personally unless I pull ip a solid color and really squint.Overall the LG 38WN95C-W is an S-tier monitor and is the sweet spot between a normal monitor and a super ultra wide monitor, It'd be. extremely hard to make me move to something different unless another 38 monitor with the latest bells and whistles and no OLED is in the market.
My cat chewed my LG34GN850B so I was forced to upgrade. As a gamer and someone who works at home, I originally bought the AW34 OLED, but trying to use OLED for work was nearly impossible. The text was too blurry and the screen was too dark.I decided to go with this monitor for the fact that it’s works as a professional work monitor and works great for gaming. The size and resolution are also the sweet spot as folks say. 2160P for 38” is just too much - you can hardly see the text. But with 1600, it feels like you’re using a bigger monitor but still on 1080 or 1440. It’s just perfect.Pros- Brightest monitor I’ve seen- size and resolution are perfect.- 144hz, gsync,- usb C- quick setupCons- stand is cheap and wobbly- display port cable is short.
