We’ve had this fridge for about a year now. It’s a great size and the non plumbed version is fantastic (in the beginning). Water started leaking out of the ice maker -a little is expected - but not a constant drip! Then after a while the ice dispenser would completely freeze up and the ice would turn into one huge chunk which couldn’t be crushed or dispensed at all. Freezer temp is normal. After several attempts, the only way to clear the blockage from the inside is with a jug of lukewarm water, four towels and another person holding a bowl on the dispenser side. This has to be done every 4-6 weeks and we use the ice crusher every couple of hours at least. (It’s used a lot!) We love this fridge! We upgraded from our old 512ltr fridge (which is also LG and still works perfectly after 10 + years) because we needed more fridge space, which we definately get from this fridge but the best part is the ice maker, i didn't realise when i made the purchase that it makes the ice itself! It takes water from the tank, fills it's ice tray up then dumps it out when its ready and repeats, if the ice container gets too full you can just switch the ice maker off. The wifi is handy and the app lets you know if the door has been left open so we always know if the kids are standing at the fridge with the doors open. Have had this fridge for a little over two weeks now and I am incredibly happy with it. It keeps it's temperature really well. It is very spacious inside, and the shelves are organised in a way where it's really easy to locate and organise all the food within it. I am using the cold water and crushed ice dispenser a lot more than I thought I would (I think I'm addicted to crushed ice now), although this brings me to the only real issue that I have with this fridge. The dispenser has no drip tray and the chute where the ice comes out is impossible to completely align with the glass, so chips of ice end up on the floor every time I use it. Other fridges of cheaper or same price we looked at seemed similar at first but beware they are not as deep as this one which offers a lot more storage capacity. Extremely quiet fridge but ice dropping into automatic dispenser and reloading every hour or two makes momentary noise. You can disconnect this option overnight very easily by removing internal water storage bucket (or ice unit) if it's a problem. Fridge door opens very wide and swings right back - again easily fixed with a cheap rubber door stopper. All in all they're only minor niggles.
Two things make this fridge brilliant; having a cubed ice, crushed ice, and cold water dispenser without requiring plumbing, and the really deep door trays (I can fit 2x 2L bottles of milk one in front of the other in the door!). This fridge replaced a Samsung side-by-side fridge of the same dimensions, and the difference in practicality due to those two things is amazing (and was totally unexpected). The fridge is also incredibly quiet and very efficient - but these are features I was expecting from any new fridge.

We just fill it each time it looks low and there are no issues (and we have ice / water basically every day now). - The ice maker does make some noise when it's making the ice, but so does every ice maker out there. Just something to consider if you've never had an ice maker fridge before. The fridge is about 9 meters away from our bedroom with one wall in between. Didn't wake us up at all, and the processing sound only lasts like 2-3 seconds anyway. Not sure how long between each... I never counted as we almost never hear it. If I had to guess, it's at least an hour, or maybe 3.
