The freezer is huge and great, we do a lot of meal prep and the flat shelves are so much better than a drawer freezer under the fridge. Love this item!

Right from the start I Was very impressed with the super wide shelves inside the fridge door! No more narrow, two milk bottles only, there is so much space in the door alone for soda bottles, sauces etc Shelves are deep, can stack a week's woth if groceries in and still shut the door. Freezer has wide shelves inside the door to, great for all the bags of frozen veges, leaving heaps of room in the shelves. Sleek design, kids love that it doesn't have handles. Very happy with our new fridge.

This is my dream fridge. I put all my items in the top to middle shelves and on the doors so that I never have to bend down again.I can open both the fridge and freezer doors at the same time to consider food options from both.I can easily see my freezer items so that they actually get used instead of forgotten in a draw hidden out of sight.It makes a polite beep three times at intervals if you leave the fridge door open for to long, unlike some fridges that make loud alarm sounds that don't stop until you close the door. This makes unloading groceries much more pleasant.The fridge is stylish, quiet and cools efficiently. Absolutely no complaints. The Appliances Online purchase and delivery process was fantastic also. Excellent customer service.

Like the space & look of this fridge freezer but from the moment we plugged it in the top part of the freezer has had condensation freezing. It looks like it has snowed in our freezer & the grill at the top back has almost totally frosted closed. Ice in the ice tray melts in your hand when you take it out. Bought it in July & had to defrost it twice in 6 months. Tried contacting LG & got cut off & not rung back. Contacted the chat line & was told to make it hotter. It hasn’t helped.
I've had this fridge for about a month now, and from what I can tell, the build quality and functionality is very good. The lighting inside is exceptional and the fridge is well designed with lots of space and airflow. It doesn't have too many bells and whistles -- which is a good thing. It does what it's meant to do and it does it well.The really exceptional part though, is the customer service at Appliances online. I've never been so looked after in my life. I orginally bought a fridge that was too small, so I contacted customer service to switch it for this LG.Appliances online sent out a team to pick up the fridge I was returning, install the new one, and even price matched a competitor in the process.

The door compartments are mostly fixed and there's not much flexibility in that regard, but not a huge problem for us. The freezer side only has one drawer and the rest are all shelves. This may suit some people but if it does not suit, you can easily buy extra freezer drawers from places like Big W for example. The fridge is quiet and does not seem to make funny noises like our old Samsung. The digital panel on the fridge front looks great and makes it very easy to control the temperature of the fridge and freezer. I am generally happy with this fridge but it does not come with a manual ice maker, yet in the freezer door there are attachments for one. I phone LG and was told that this model doesn't have one. It was delivered with a little plastic ice tray that would be seen in a fridge from 1975! For the price and such a reputable brand I would expect that a part like this would be standard. Had I have seen this fridge in a showroom I would not have bought it for this reason. This seems a small matter as everything else about the fridge and the Appliances online service was great. Particularly the delivery.
Love this fridge. It very large, looks fantastic in my very white kitchen, so spacious inside and very well lit. Also super quiet ought it to replace my 25yr old Lg fridge - what a step up! Also so glad I bought this over the French door based on other review saying it’s easier to see everything when you open the door with side by side. They’re right I open the door and can everything on every shelf with ease. Brilliant and highly recommend. I also ordered a manual ice maker that fits in the door and wine rack from the more premium version which will make it perfect!
The LG side by side fridge freezer is just the best!Love it!Not only is it practical and more ergonomic than traditional fridge freezer layouts-You can see everything more clearly and the amount of shelves and drawers means you can better organise the contents.My only slight critique would be to have a better ice cube insert with flip drawer.But the sleek black look and digital display just finish off this fridge.. oh and less finger prints too!!!!

We replaced an eleven year old Samsung with the LG and were quite surprised how far technology had moved over that time. The fridge fits into the same area but seems to hold more. I especially like the wider door trays which are much larger than the previous trays and seem more sturdier. The tempered glass trays inside the fridge are set to the right height for us and can store everything we need. The cooling engine seems to take up less room than the older fridge and adds to the internal space available.
