I bought this machine 4 months ago, previously only ever having top loaders but was talked into getting a front loader. The only good thing is it's easy to use but as far as cleaning the clothes they always come out covered in fluff and pet hair (I have a dog with a long coat). This was never a problem with my previous top loaders which also had lint filters something lacking in my current machine. The machine us useless.

When compared to our previous LG 7.0 kg machine the slim design is good to get into a shallow space. However, the narrow drum does mean that high spin speeds can cause excessive vibration and noise as the load gets out of balance. Also, washing does not seem to be as good as previous model (2010 LG 7.0 kg model). We are now reducing load size as we found it could not handle anything close to 7.5 kgs

Excellent machine, we recently upgraded from the same equivalent LG series purchased back in 2010. It's has tons of settings which are easy to navigate - just have a quick read through the manual once and you'll be all set. You can download different wash settings via wifi and also link it to your phone to notify you when a load is finished (which comes in handy because the machine is silent!) The best thing about this front loader is the speed of the cycles, it is so much faster than our previous model. Highly recommended!! Literally can't say a bad thing about it.

I just bought this washer to replace my previous LG washer which lasted over 16 years (needed replace silencers though) and was still working.... So far so good. However, I really wanted to go for 6000 series, 7.5 or 8 kg model. For some reason, in Australia, these models are non-existent, although I bought such model in Europe for my mum already 2 years ago (is this some kind of sales game? Why is Australia always so behind ? even much closer to Asia then Europe ?). What I like in 6000 series is that 59 minutes program which allows to use higher than 40 deg temperatures with shorter washing time. In previous series, if one wants to use higher temperature, programs go for-or above the 2 hour mark. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit is easily the best front load washing machine I have ever owned. It deals with large loads incredibly well, has a great suite of cycles to begin with and allows for extra cycles to be managed through the LG ThinQ app. Integration with the app and other LG devices is also brilliant, allowing me to control the wash remotely and know exactly when it's finished. It is very easy to use and to keep clean, in the case of a rare imbalance, the machine warns you before risking any issues and points out exactly what the problem is rather than simply saying "err" like most others. Even then, the self-balancing drum does a spectacular job of correcting itself. I would highly recommend this machine.

The water valve opens & closes at the beginning several times, presumably to wet the entire load. Problem it it creates water hammer. Would be much better with soft close valves. 2. BOUGHT MY 7/5 KG FRONT LOADER DECEMBER 2021. HASN'T MISSED A BEAT! CONNECTS TO WIFI AND I CAN CONTROL BY MY PHONE. I CAN ALTER PROGRAMS. IT IS SOOOOO INCREDIBLE QUIET. I HAVE SENSITIVE. X 1000 EARS, SO THIS WOULD BE A VERY KEY ITEM. IT HAS A CLEAN TUB PROGRAM AND OT LET S YOU KNOW WHEN IT S DUE. IT KEEPS A LIST OF ALL OF THE CYCLES YOU HAVE DONE AND IS VERY CLEVER. IT S LETS YU KNOW ON THE OHONE HOW LONG THE CYCLES] HAS GOT TO GO AND WHEN IT S FINISHED. YOU CAN SHARE TO INFO WITH HOUSE MATES, SO THEY CAN EMPTY TO MACHINE. THE CLOTHES COME OUT SO DRY IF YOU WANT THE FAST SPIN. LOTS OF DIFFERENT PROGRAMS TO SUIT EVERYONE.
I am coming from top loader LG 5 kg to front loader 7.5kg. Just been completed couple of wash. Just not happy with the sizing, noise and movement of the machine. First wash I had descent load not overloaded the machine. The machine had loud noise during the rinse cycle and also moved quite away from the original position. With the 2nd wash I had 3/4 of the load from the first wash still the machine has loud noise and moving away from the position. What is causing the noise and moving the position of the machine?
I researched all the washing machines on the market. I downloaded the user instruction manuals so I could read about what I was buying. I chose the LG machine WV5-1275W because it offered both hot and cold inlets. I don't see the point of heating up cold water in a washing machine when I have a very cheap supply of hot water just one metre away. Unfortunate, this machine does not meet this criterion. It lets hot water into the machine only after it has already heated up the contents of the machine to 50 degrees. So this was a great disappointment for me. And there is no mention of this in the user guide that I could see. A second problem has to do with the amount of water it lets in at the very beginning. Very happy with this machine. We bought it to replace our old LG Direct Drive washer which lasted over 10 years. I particularly like the design of the drive system as it is bullet-proof and exceptionally reliable. The main change we need to abapt to is what each cycle is used for but using the settings on the front display is simple and easy to understand. This model also lets you add an item if the cycle hasn't filled with water yet. Getting notifications on my ohone when it's time to hang the washing is brilliant enabling me to get the next load on more quickly. I needn't keep checking the remaining time on the machine cycle as it is displayed on the App on my phone which I keep handy like most phone owners do. It is nice and quite also. Very happy.
