I’m currently using the TV with a soundbar, and the stand props the screen up enough such that the screen is not blocked by the soundbar at all. The right TV settings will make you get the most out of the C2 OLED. There are plenty of settings to fine-tune the picture and other nice-to-have features. My C2 is wall-mounted and connected to a soundbar delivering beautiful Dolby Atmos sound.

Whilst my setup is in a darker light controlled room, I did spend a little bit of time adjusting the various picture settings to get the best possible image quality (just search on YouTube for LG C2 picture settings and follow the expert advice), and this has definitely been worth the small investment of time that it took. From watching 4k sports through Foxtel, to playing Dolby Vision enabled games on the Xbox Series X, I still find myself marveling at the incredible quality that this tv is capable of producing. I can't wait until it's all properly set up once the renovations are complete! I've even been impressed by the sound from the in-built speakers, something I hadn't expected for such a slim device, the AI sound pro mode does a great job of producing a surround sound effect without using additional connected speakers. I'm not a fan of the remote control though, it's not the premium accessory that this tv deserves, and whilst there's some customization possible on the home screen, I'd like to be able to make some more changes and remove some of the sections that are not relevant to me and the way I use the tv. The interface is very clean and responsive though which makes it easy to use. But it's the superior image with the deepest black levels, brilliant bright areas and extreme contrast that make this the ultimate TV for anything you can currently throw at it. This is very much the premium experience I was hoping for when I chose this model.

The screen is indeed fantastic, once you go OLED you can't go back, although honestly not much of an improvement over my old B7. Frustratingly though there are big improvements coming this year, I would have waited had I known! Also in the plus column is the support for the main HDR standards, Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG. There's no HDR10+, but you can live without that one. Plus you get 4 full fat HDMI 2.1 ports and support for 120hz, VRR, GSync, and Freesync. In the negatives column the software has taken a huge step backwards from my old B7. It's bloated and slow now. LG have also rammed the TV full of bloat, from Alexa (which continually nags the user to set it up) to Google Assistant and some sort of LG assistant. It's all totally necessary and none of it can be removed. The remote has gone backwards too. It was always pretty cheap and plasticy and lacking in back lighting, but the new one has also lost the old ergonomic shape and is just a big slab now. As remotes go it's rather poor especially given the cost of the TV. Also LG have removed DTS support, which doesn't sound like a big deal, but if you're an Xbox Series X owner you'll likely use DTS as a work around for the audio lag with Dolby formats. With that gone on the LG side you'll be stuck with lag with solution outside of routing the audio through an AV amplifier. Despite these shortcomings this is still unquestionably a great screen, just one which will soon be very much outdone by the upcoming 2023 models. And please tidy up your software LG, it's genuinely poor and a serious regression over previous versions.

This means you’ll need at least RX 6xxx/RTX 3xxxx or later with HDMI 2.1 to get 120Hz/4K without compromises. If sitting on an older GPU, you could, for instance, use an adaptor, but you’ll lose VRR. The TV has a noticeable blue tint when viewed off-axis. This is very apparent on white backgrounds when used on a desk (roughly 1 meter away) where the edges are distinctly blue. It is not very noticeable when used for non-static content, nor when viewed from further away. The TV will auto-dim when viewing static images or, potentially, text documents to keep burn-in to a minimum. Seems somewhat complicated to completely turn off if you were to find it too bothersome. There are definitely some trade-offs that need to be made when using it on a desk. What it offers in return is great image quality, and really, the selling feature of all OLEDs: perfect blacks. For a TV, it’s also reasonably responsive + 120Hz refresh rate. If bought exclusively to be used as a TV, in a dark room, most of what has been written above can pretty much be ignored. As a monitor, though, it’s more complicated; worth it if you value image quality and perfect blacks above all else and can’t wait for more dedicated monitors to be released that are more fitting for desktop use.
Got the C2 back in Oct. Love the picture quality and look of the TV. It's in a basement with limited exterior lighting, so can't really speak to brightness, but it's plenty bright for that space. My complaint is the advertising that I'm forced to endure and the LG OS/Home Screen. I would love to customize the home screen to remove specific rows of apps/options I won't use. I have tried every which way to clean up the screen to my liking but there is only so far it allows you to customize the look. That would be ok IF I could remove the advertising. I've turned off everything I can but I still get the LG shopping ads and occasional other ads on the home screen. I don't want that stuff. I'm not shopping through my TV and never will. I delete them all from the notifications panel and the next day there are 10 plus new ones, often the same as the ones I deleted. I have again tried all ways to turn them off and have opened yet another ticket with support, to no avail. So, as a TV, it's great and looks great. LG though needs to realize I spend several thousand dollars to own a TV not to be forced into an advertising platform for them and their various app partners. They need to fix this OS and enable better user control over what I see and don't.

The picture smoothing lag when watching regular TV is annoying - taking up to 15-30 seconds at times to bring the channel into focus. The remote control is severly disappointing to say the least. It doesn't learn other components very well, it fails the search automatically, and even when the specific device model number is entered/selected from manual search, it doesn't control the device. eARC with a Denon Receiver was also disappointing. The TV does not control cable box, or DVD player through eARC as it should. We have to keep all remotes available for when those components get used. Overall review is a 3 star based on overall user experience. The picture is by far a 5 star, but the user interface is a 2.
This TV has irreversibly changed my expectations of high end display and image quality for the rest of my days. Firstly, the thin build of the panel leaves you wondering, HOW IN THE WORLD DOES THIS DO THAT!? The housing for the electronic magic that powers and holds the cutting edge processor and display technology is minimal and a provides room for enhanced buitl in audio. The standard mounting system is a delightful sight and I did not have to drastically change my TV mounting bracket to utilize the montior mounting points for a flawless and minimal cable management install. Firstly, the thin build of the panel leaves you wondering, HOW IN THE WORLD DOES THIS DO THAT!? The housing for the electronic magic that powers and holds the cutting edge processor and display technology is minimal and a provides room for enhanced buitl in audio. The standard mounting system is a delightful sight and I did not have to drastically change my TV mounting bracket to utilize the montior mounting points for a flawless and minimal cable management install. i am typically the frugal individual that receives hand me downs or will only shop for big electronics during black Friday typically in the $200 to $400 range. which meant every two to four years i would have to get a new tv because they go out that quick when in that price range. I decided to take a risk and get a quality TV with the best features and tech for consumers. Did my research like you and found this tv as the hands down best from reviews, specs and price. shopped from may 2022 until nov 2022 price did not change whole time out side of $50 price change. only "Sale" if you want to call it that was sams offering a free 5 year extended warranty. price is not changing because this tv is a goat. I will not go into the specs becasue lets be honest you already ... I will not go into the specs becasue lets be honest you already know them but from ease of use in menu and OS to picture quality on streaming, live tv, and gaming with V-sync. tv will remember the settings based off of source so you can switch between live tv, streaming through tv, gaming on console, gaming on pc, to viewing pictures, to casting phone screen to tv and it will automatically switch to the settings you have for each source. gone are the days where you have to turn on game mode or change to cinema preset. only one issue that i hope will get resolved with updates and yes updates are actually happening with this TV still. is the blue light filter is currently on or off. would like to see it follow most phones and windows and allow it to automatically turn on and off with the sunset. Had tv for about month now and it i still am in awe every time i turn it on. is it an investment, yes, but is it worth the investment? in my humble opinion with out a doubt. hope this helps wish you the best with your shopping and research!

Having previously come from a flagship 4K HDR TV that utilised Quantum Dot LED with full-array local dimming, I was hoping and expecting to see a higher quality, more detailed, image when it came to dark scenes containing lots of finer details. I was not disappointed. The amount of visible detail in the darkest scenes is astonishing. No more blooming/halo effect. It's not just dark scenes where this TV shines, with bright, colourful scenes looking just as spectacular, thanks to the new improvements that introduced in this years model. While it doesn't compete with the eye watering brightness of some LED TVs. It gets more than bright enough, especially if you can control the lighting levels of the room you're watching it in. The overall use of the TV has possibly been the best experience I've had with a TV yet. For the most part everything has just worked (except a few minor items). Connecting a different brand Atmos soundbar worked simply by connecting it via HDMI, the XBox Series X is able to connect with Dolby Vision and ATMOS. The standard apps are all installed and ready to go. Cinema mode and auto film maker mode provide a pretty good picture quality out of the box (even better after a few tweaks). The TV has been able to handle the 4K 120Hz thrown at it by the Xbox Series X without a struggle. Automatically switching over to game mode, reducing input lag, enabling vrr, and tweaking the graphics slightly, that and the nice large 77 inches, makes gaming a real engaging and pleasurable experience. One of the things I think that could be improved is the remote. It's a bit of an outdated, oversized, overcomplicated, cheap feeling bit of plastic. I do like that it is a magic remote, and jumping between apps using the dedicated buttons makes switching between apps fast (incredibly fast). However, it just seems like, at this price point, it could be a bit more refined with and possibly with a metal finish. Not everything has been flawless with the TV, but so far I have been able to find a way to resolve my issues with a little digging. For example; Dobly ATMOS would not work with Netflix out of the box (all other apps were fine). To get ATMOS working with netflix, I had to disable ATMOS on the internal speakers before it worked on the soundbar.
