This is the 4th fridge I've owned since adulthood. As with all fridges purchased after the first one, they are all bought in an emergency when the last one dies. In this case, the last one died 2 days into a 3 week Covid outbreak lockdown, so the purchase was made online without inspecting the product (#foreshadowing).Overall, it's a perfectly good, spacious (seemingly thinner walls than last one ... possibly newer/better materials) and good looking fridge. Good looking, that is, except for the top of it. The online store we bought from only had a front and inside view. Unbeknownst to us, the top of it seems to expect the fridge to be hidden away in a cupboard cavity. Since, unlike every fridge I've owned (or noticed, for that matter) since I was a child, the top of this one isn't a smooth, flush surface like the sides. It instead has an odd silver cover in the middle with warning text all over it, and a conduit running to the front. It's fine for everyone in my family other than myself at 6'1", and it's all I see every time I walk past it. It basically looks like something that should be hidden away. You can see it in the side-on shots on the LG website. I just never expected the top to look any different, and so didn't look for a side-on view when I purchased. Note that the smaller one of these bottom mount fridges has a smooth, flush top. No idea why this one doesn't.The glass shelves are also a little on the flexible side, thinner perhaps, than our previous fridge. Where I used to store a saucepan full of bolognese overnight on a shelf in the old one without hesitation ... the first time I tried that in this one there was enough flexing that I was tempted not to do it. Nevertheless ... it survived the night. But still ... flexy.Otherwise, we appreciate the extra space and nifty built in ice trays for G&T's.

This fridge fills all my needs - it manages all the fresh produce for our small family (the freezer though isn't huge). Design-wise it is streamlined, elegant. I love that it is completely uncluttered with annoying added extras like separate space wasting containers for dairy or eggs, or separate temperature controls for meat/f&v that rarely work adequately. I ordered the graphite colour and am thrilled with it - looks like stainless steel but so much easer to keep clean. This is a no frills fridge/freezer in the very best way.

First impressions, it seems like a very good fridge. Quality seems excellent and it really fits our needs. We were looking for a fridge of the same size but with a bigger freezer compartment. The freezer layout is great, it is really easy to access all your items quickly. Long term can't say of course but for now we are very happy with the purchase.

Like a swaddled new baby, the refrigerator was carefully protected by numerous peel-off protected coatings and tapes.Once unwrapped and powered up, it immediately went into operating mode, where it has remained, rock solid, ever since. The shelving and compartmentalization are efficient, but could be improved by adjustable door shelves.Overall, a welcome replacement for our old fridge.Good value for money.
Great fridge/ freezer combo for limited space. It has a larger fridge above that is surprising large, holding a lot of different sized items. Freezer is 2 draw and enough for those frozen items you need to hand in the kitchen, I.e frozen veg, etc. Had a thermometer on the fridge and it keeps temperature really well, even when door is opened. Recommend.
Love everything about this fridge, it's a great performer. Awesome features like 'quick cool' means it can ramp up to cool drinks quickly which in the Australian summer is perfect. My only gripe is that the racks/storage on the door are very deep- too deep in fact to store bottles or anything without them falling over every single time you open the door.We use the fridge as a drinks/additional fridge as our family is large, and have more or less lost the entire door of storage because it can't store drinks properly. I tried putting rubber grip on the shelves, but this hasn't helped and with 1.25L bottles falling all the time I would say the plastic would probably break pretty quickly so it's not something you could just ignore or persist with.So if you tend to ... MoreLove everything about this fridge, it's a great performer. Happy with purchase.I used to have fisher-paykel but tried this brand and very happy.Nice size.Freezer great drawers and ice maker..Plenty of room.. and perfect for my needs. It's quiet and temp is awsum.Very happy.Would recommend
So it's a fridge, right? Does fridgey things, put things in, they stay cool (or frozen in the freezer). Simple yeah? One of the best things about this fridge is what it doesn't do, and that is, make noise. This thing is frighteningly silent. I was concerned it wasn't working properly at points during the first week because it is dead silent. Occasionally only for short periods emitting a faint hum, or faint clicking. We'd gotten so used to the hum of our old fridge, that we've now discovered an array of other noises at night. The fridge made us curious nocturnal investigators into our backyard....and does it keep things chilled like a fridge should? You betcha. Even running on eco mode (which we do for any devices because you know, help save the planet etc) drinks ... MoreSo it's a fridge, right? The fridge made us curious nocturnal investigators into our backyard....and does it keep things chilled like a fridge should? You betcha. Even running on eco mode (which we do for any devices because you know, help save the planet etc) drinks are kept frosty cool, left overs seem to last an extra day (this isn't a recommendation to leave your left overs too long mind you) and it all just works like a fridge should. There is one tiny flaw, that is vegetables left exposed in the vegetable 'crisper' dry out quite quickly, carrots go bendy etc in the space between the weekly shop, which is not something we're used to. A clean, fresh, damp tea towel over the top of the vegetables solved this though.Look wise, it looks modern, sleek, and is not intrusive into the kitchen like some fridges look like they can be. It's also a great size, probably fitting into most nooks people have in their homes. All in all, it's a great purchase, the space and size is perfect for two people and two dogs, with everything easily accessible and well thought out.
I always liked LG for its price/value ratio. In this case, the fridge is OK, standard fridge for this price. However, I would pick a different brand if I had another chance.I need to change the door opening direction as it is on the wrong side for my kitchen. I wanted to do it myself but LG doesn't allow you. You must reach out to their closest support centre to change it, and, obviously, they charge a couple of hundred dollars for it.I have changed fridge doors a dozen times, it's extremely easy but not this time...
I recently bought this fridge as a replacement for my old fridge. It has the freezer on the bottom of the bottom of the fridge making it very efficient . great stainless steel finish , side handles and it is so quiet that I don't hear the motor running at all ! The interior of the fridge is well worked out with ample shelving and a large vegetable crisper . It has plenty of shelving in the door of the fridge . The only thing I found lacking was a built in egg holder . I highly recommend this fridge unit it's stylish and very quiet .
