I purchased this dishwasher thinking that the old one was not economical to repair. Anyway, I now have this wonderful new gadget that I must admit is a time-saver and I now wish that I could have talked my wife into purchasing such a machine 30 years ago when we renovated our kitchen but she wouldn't have it. I don't use the machine everyday but when I do have a bit of a cook-up about once a week I give it a workout and it performs beautifully. Everything comes out sparkling especially the glassware, and it is a very quiet machine, although that could just be me as my hearing is not the best. No, I like my latest gadget purchase, probably the best purchase I've made this last year (although I probably didn't need to).

We previously had a Bosch Serie 2 dishwasher and the LG is superior in cleaning performance. Dishes come out dryer even without rinsing aid. Before we purchased, we did a lot of research. To answer some of the concerns that I saw in those reviews, I thought I would share some things I have found. Cycle time Yes they are longer than what we had with the Bosch. The trays in the dishwasher are a tiny bit smaller than our previous Bosch.

Very happy with our purchase. Initially had small amount of leakage where drain hose connects to waste spigot but with extra tightening of hose clip, the problem was solved. This dishwasher is extremely quiet - in fact I have to put an ear to the door to make sure it is actually working. Instruction manual is very informative. Have used this appliance for 2 weeks and have only used the "Express" cycle with the "Extra Dry" option (which takes 1hr 20m) as we rinse dishes first. The results are excellent. Still working out best options for loading crockery but haven't tried tall crystal wine glasses yet. Quite happy to continue hand washing them.

I love this dishwasher! Everything comes out sparkling, even the baking dishes. The drawers are super sturdy though at times I think they could be shaped better - we still manage to get a good load stacked in there and it cleans well, that's what matters. As with other reviews, the chime must be mentioned! It's one thing to have a loud beep upon completion but this thing sings a whole darn nursery rhyme. It is certainly over the top. Not sure if this can be programmed out with the wifi functionality- haven't got that far yet. The touch buttons are also easy to bump when you're working at the kitchen bench, so even if you don't have inquisitive little ones pressing them all to see what happens, you'll still likely make good use of the child lock feature. I put in a baking dish that was caked and burnt and thought.. if this comes out clean i am giving it 5 stars. So it did come out perfectly clean no scrubbing on my end. That was on the intensive cycle which does take 3 hours. But I am usually not in hurry so it is workable. That would be the downside of this dishwasher there are not really any quick cycles. But the intensive cycle will clean your dishes! And ultimately that is what I got it for.. cause I hate cleaning dishes by hand. I put dishes in that are really filthy and they come out spotless. Do they come out dry The plates and cuttlery and most glasses do but anything that has a ditch in it where a puddle can form wont.. so i guess you need to stack your dishes in a way that they wont catch puddles. This was noticed occasionally, may be once in every five cycles. 3) Although the cutleries can be placed on the top level which is a big plus, there is no separate spray arm for this top level. This impacts the cleaning results of cutleries if your second level is fully loaded. I could not see any spray holes from the top for the cutlery level.

The rinse aid compartment has no indicator that we can find to tell us when to top up, and the strip on the external door closing the gap between the door and lower kick panel has loosened very easily and won’t adhere back to position (this strip isn’t necessary but is aesthetically pleasing to complete the unit). The Good; It’s incredibly quite! To the point I sometimes check its actually on when operational. It looks fabulous, little finger marks aren’t easily visible on the exterior, and the program buttons are easy to read. Plenty of wash program options to choose from. We’ve owned it from new and used it for a couple of months now, never had a wash quality we’re unhappy with.
I cant really see how the true steam works but dishes pots and pans washed squeaky clean the next day. Quiet while operating could only hear water running through the pipes. Touch screen menu bar with many options especially half load/dual zone steam/no steam delayed start extra drycompared with my old Bosch. Stainless steel looks posh and fits in any kitchen colour. Our kitchen are black and white. White one was out of stock in store so we went with steel colour. Still very happy with it. Very easy to clean and like new again. We also topped up with gold care package for a peace of mind.Wish it has child lock button. Also, you will have to buy dishwasher salt for this model.
