I got a new MacBook Pro laptop recently, and I wanted to get a 27in monitor to upgrade from a 22in. I initially bought a BenQ PD2700Q, but after a few days, I realized that its resolution wasn't jiving with the MBP as an external monitor. Apple now recommends the top-end LG screen to go with its products so I thought that other LG screens should be good, but I could not afford the $2000 screen that apple recommended. In summary, I am not satisfied with the product to date given the price I paid for it.

This is a really top-notch monitor. The 4K image makes a huge difference in visual quality. It reveals everything in a photo or video, good or bad. You may be surprised to see how clear your cellphone shots are, as well as how fuzzy some online video clips can be! It matched up with no fuss to my new PC using the included DisplayPort and USB cables, The picture settings were fine out of the box, no adjustment needed. The included speakers are just OK, and I suspect are mostly there for convenience. If you want really good sound, use a pair of separates. Overall, a fine product

(moving from a similarly priced 1440p 165hz gaming monitor, and a 34" 1440p ultrawide)Colours are very accurate and punchy, the display is incredibly sharp and all kinds of content (4K movies, Xbox games in 4k) work superbly. I don't miss having 120hz refresh rate because the contrast and colors look so nice. I use it with my M1 MacBook Air, and I would say the image quality is equal to or slightly better than the built in display. Overall I like this monitor. The picture is great, colors look good, and I love that the height and angle are very adjustable. However, the software to calibrate the monitor is wonky. I'm on a new Mac Studio and the software does not seem compatible with OS Monterey. Every time I open it to try and adjust something, it beachballs and I have to restart. There's a warning about using the right cables that pops up every time I turn on my machine and I just have to wait till it disappears because I can't click it. This is really annoying, and frustrating that I'm not able to calibrate the monitor. Not sure if it would work better with a PC, but as many creatives use Macs, this issue needs to be addressed ASAP.

Amazing colour accuracy for non HDR modes. Best picture that I’ve ever had from a desktop monitor.However…The HDR mode is severely lacking to the point where it looks awful for the majority of visuals. I also have an LG TV which does HDR significantly better and this monitor is nothing by comparison. so I will never use HDR mode on this monitor which is a disappointment not least of all because I bought 2 of them.
Pros: 4K monitor with USBC connection and traditional DP and 2xHDMI ports. Not only the height is adjustable, cables are also included. When you use USBC as input, you can use it as USB-A hub too. It is PnP so I dont need to ring up work IT to allow installation. Samsung M70 is comparable but I prefer this LG because of the matt surface the prevents glare. Btw, the speakers are better compared to Lenovo monitors.Cons: Wireless screen mirroring as in Samsung M70.
