The equipment is good, everything works and is whole, the phone looks like new! Of the minuses - poor quality headphones, after a few days of use there are cases of sound loss in one earphone and as you can see from the photo on the glass of the main camera there is a speck of dust, but fortunately it does not affect the quality of the photos, so write to the seller to check better! Constantly crashing and locking up

Don't Believe the Haters

There are a lot of people beating up this phone in reviews because they don't understand what LG was trying to do. It's best to think of this as an excellent mid-tier phone that gets you into 5G without an outlandish $1,000+ price range. It is elegant, thin, fast and responsive. It comes with HUGE 6.8" screen. For those that complain that it comes with the Qualcomm 765G processor and not the latest, blazing fast 888, keep in mind that means it won't be burning through it's battery power as fast too, and the 765G has been able to handle everything I've thrown at it. It has an IP68 water and dust resistant rating, supports wireless charging, and the 6 GB of RAM work in harmony with the 765G processor to make everything as smooth as, well....Velvet. There are even stereo speakers on the phone that, while certainly aren't as great as headphones, are very loud so the phone can be easily heard. LG has already released an Android 11 upgrade for it, and has stated they intend to also release Android 12 for it despite getting out of the mobile phone business. I have not experienced any problems with this phone other reviewers have spoken of. Of course the screen is made of Gorilla glass, and the back of the phone is covered in glass too. I bought a very thinn, clear case for it and a glass screen protector for the screen and it easily survived a fall of my kitchen counter onto the hard tile floor, the screen protector did it's job and cracked, but the screen on the Velvet was unscathed. I absolutely love this phone and the beautiful curved glass that runs down the sides of the screen. It's the last breath of air LG could muster as they exit the phone business. Let us all be thankful it was a fresh one.

Great phone, terrible systems

Used to love this phone more than most phones I've ever had. A lot of the issues described in other reviews were things I never experienced. The only thing I agree with is that its too slick. The back glass isn't as sturdy as the front glass so its kind of bogus they didn't create a better way to hold the phone, as now my back glass is completely shattered (costing hundreds to repair and months of waiting for parts, something I cannot afford to do after spending as much as I did on the phone itself). Anyone complaining about it being too big obviously didn't bother to look that they were purchasing a PHABLET instead of a regular smartphone. I now have more apps that were forcibly downloaded onto my phone than apps I've personally downloaded. And one of reasons I got this phone was because of how much it can hold, so it means a lot when I say I was forced into having more apps I dont want than apps I do. My phone automatically dims after a few minutes of being left on but with the new update it doesnt UN-DIM once I start using my phone again. I literally have to go to my brightness and the whole things glitches, THEN I can fix it. My phone no longer fast charges as often as it did before. That and it doesnt recognize a lot of "fast chargers" like it used to so my phone now takes FOREVER to charge (as apparently the only options are fast or slow charging). All my notifications look the same because they turned ALL the icons into a blue circle. ALL OF THEM. The vibration types for my notifications are different now than they were before so I have to relearn all the buzzes. I know its dumb but the swipe line my finger creates when I unlock my phone using the pattern is super bulky and ugly now, it used to be so swift and smooth and visually appeasing. My screenshot editor is completely different and so much harder to use. And its not harder to use BECAUSE its different, its harder to use because they cut down on what you can do to edit, moved everything on the screen, changed the edit pop-up, got rid of the screenflash, and delayed the mini-screen pop-up so now you have to wait even longer after taking a screenshot in order to get the edit. My notifications used to tell me how long its been since I got the notification. Now it gives me the time I got the notification, and I have to do the math myself. None of this used to be a thing and I cant change ANY OF THIS STUFF. It makes my phone unpleasant to use. They even added more widgets (that don't even freaking do anything) to my customized widget bar that I had to delete. Had this phone for over a year and loved it. Now I HATE it thanks to this update

Not ergonomical at all

First the cons:The showstopper: It’s too slick—literally. It just slides off the table if you’re putting it on something that’s not perfectly horizontal. This is an outright hazard if you’re charging because if the phone slides off the table it will dangle from the charging cable and jerk the connection; this can break the USB port, the connector on the cable, or both (this has happened to me before with other equipment; it destroyed both the connector and the port once, the other time the connector was destroyed but the port survived).Also, if you’re playing games on your phone, because it’s so slick you have to hold it, but because the screen curves into the edges it’s tricky to hold it without triggering some unwanted action in the game. Again, this is completely un-ergonomical because it ignores human physiology; and if you use the assistant button, this is quite dangerous.In summary, I wish LG had focused on actual design (addressing realistic and meaningful use cases) and actual ergonomics (making sure the product adapts to human physiology). Contrary to what the marketing literature says, the product, as it is, is not ergonomical at all.Now the pros:(1) It does have 128GB of internal storage, something that I was specifically looking for; and(2) NFC, which I did not know it has but now I can use my transit app more properly.This was an emergency purchase so I do feel grateful that I now have a functioning phone.

Not worth the price

I bought an LG Velvet 5G about a year ago, but even when I first got it I noticed quite a few problems. First the battery: even brand new it barely held about as much juice as my 5 year old Samsung phone. If you're regularly using your phone during the day, even if it was fully charged over night, you'll definitely need a charger with you.Second the Google Assistant button: I have no idea why someone thought adding a button to the side that when pressed stops any music or videos you're listening to until you manually go in and exit out of the program was a good idea. And you will constantly press it wether you meant to or not due to its location.Other than that, the big screen is nice though it definitely unwieldy at times. T-Mobile LG Velvet Review

So, I've had the phone for maybe 4-5 months I'd say. I can say that the phone is just alright. It's not really spectacular. It has really great speakers and it also has a nice design for most part. I also don't notice any lag at all except once or twice but not at all frequently or consistently. The software is pretty smooth for the most part. Display is huge so I like that but it's average I mean I wasn't amazed by the quality it is decent though and it will satisfy most since it is a 1080p display. Now the bad parts will be the camera & battery. The performance is abt on par with the other velvet at least from what I know it is. The camera app however on the T-Mobile one lacks the video features like the voice bokeh and ASMR recording modes. Photos/Videos aren't sharp as the snapdragon counterpart. The battery life is really bad for a 4000 mah battery I only get 3-4 sometimes 5 hours of SOT and that's with 5g or no 5g which is worst than my old phone the LG Stylo which lasted a good 5 hrs 30 min or 6hrs plus with a 3300 mah battery size. Also I don't like how LG did the colors options for T-Mobile. I really wanted the flashier colors like the Aurora Green, Illusion Sunset, and Aurora Silver released in South Korea and other places. I might be nitpicking but this was just weird to me since they advertised those colors like crazy.

The LG Velvet 5G (LMG900UM) AT&T is terrible.

I will upload my latest video of it bootlooping. I have 13 videos of it bootlooping I record everytime it does this. Since I purchased this in 2021 and its worked about 6 month of the time. It constantly goes into a bootloop forcing me to factory reset losing everything I had on the device. A bootloop is when the device turn on then restarts over and over and over. That usually happens when custom software gets flashed on the device that's not compatible. I have "official" lg firmware untouched. The bootloader is locked by LG to insure things like this don't happen and for security. So bootloop should be impossible with stock factory software. On android 10, 11 and 12 this problem happens. This phone differentiates from the previous G and V models in a great way! Right away I noticed the size and shape of the phone, it's at least one inch longer than all the others and sleek with curved edges. The face screen is large and eye captivating. It has this rock solid 'Gorilla Glass' screen for optimal protection from cracking that feels amazing. The screen is super sensitive to the touch so be careful how you play with it lol!The sound quality is excellent and there are more options for enhancing music than previous LG's. The camera is the bomb! You cannot get a better true-to-life photo than with the LG! Its picture perfect lenses and photo feature capabilities is bar-none. The phone design itself is garbage. Just the worst. It is way too big to be practical for most peoples' hands and is so absurdly slick. It's almost like it was made with the intention of sliding off flat surfaces and slipping out of peoples' hands. The screen is very visually clear, yes, but when put to sleep flashes green a few times after being put to sleep and has done so since I first got it brand new. Everyone saying the phone has a long lasting battery is just wrong, all of my previous phones have had 100% battery last 2+ days after years of use, the LG velvet didn't last a day on full charge when brand new.I've never had an LG phone before but the LG versions of certain "basic apps" like LG health or gallery, simply do not work. Doing nearly anything on this phone will cause crashes and glitching, even getting an ad while browsing on Chrome can cause the phone to freak out and glitch.I've never gotten such an expensive phone, nor have I ever used a phone for less than 4 years before replacing it but this phone is borderline unusable. It's in the same perfect condition I got it in a year and a half ago but it is garbage. I'm angry and disappointed at how much money was wasted on this thing but will hopefully replace it once I'm financially able to. If you're considering buying one of these phones, please, just don't.
