Bought this to stack my clothes wash and dry machines. Fits as advertised. Went with the brand name (as opposed to generic for cheaper). Figured quality mattered with stacked machines. The braces are basic molded steel. Only two screws hold it in place with double sided tape pads holding down the front end. Works good enough, but if push came to shove, just about anything will compare well to these.

Easy to install, seems very secure. Hardest part is lifting the dryer onto the washer. One thing to watch out for is the flats of the plastic hex (nuts?) above the feet need to be parallel to the front of the washer. If they are not, the parts that lock onto the dryer's feet will not fit. These are most easily and safely adjusted before you have the dryer on top of the washer.

This is my second stackable LG Washer and Dryer. I sold my previous my home and the buyer wanted me to leave my former stackable unit behind. Luckily, Lowes had the same LG stackable washer and dryer in stock. Not only do I like these units, but in both my former and my present home, I had limited space (depth-wise). These units are not even 31" deep, which leaves plenty of room to navigate the water, electrical, drain, and dryer exhaust hook-ups behind this stack. You can't go wrong with this product.

It's the exact same thing that you would get if ordered from the big box store or on line that could cost you, in some cases, as much as 3 times as much. I haven't installed it yet, but as I said, it's identical to what Home Depot sells. My only complaint is that the adhesive tape protectors had been peeled off before I received the kit and left the adhesive pads with very little tack. I do keep a supply of 2 sided automotive molding tape, so that's just a minor inconvenience. The cost savings more than make up for that.
I couldn't imagine doing this by yourself. My teenager helped me and he had a little trouble getting the dryer completely over the washer. We bend the tab in the front a little bit but that is better than dropping a dryer on your foot. I was able to bend back the tab very easily. I did level the washer, double checked and checked again. Once I got that leveled, we put the dryer on. The first couple loads of laundry went fine, I was closely watching it. It soon began to vibrate too much. We pulled the dryer back off and re-read the instructions. I did not retract the dryer feet as the instructions read. So, I retracted the feet and put the dryer back on. After closely monitoring it again it seemed to be fine. There is very slight vibration which is expected but it is ... MoreI couldn't imagine doing this by yourself. Happy with this stacking kit. It fits my LG frontloading stackable washer and dryer set. With the dryer stacked on top of the washer, it feels secure. The installation team set everything up for me. I'm very happy to have two separate units that stack together.
I purchased the stacking kit directly from LG and separately from Best Buy. Best Buy said that the kit would not be available for my stackable LG washer/dryer until mid-January. I ordered it directly, and it arrived a couple of weeks before Best Buy was able to deliver the washer/dryer units. However - when the contractors delivered the unit this week, they gave me a bit of a problem installing the stacking unit because I didn't purchase it at Best Buy. The stacking unit is terrific.

However, stacking bracket delivered separately, and delivery/setup contractor would not install due to bracket not being included on their truck (company policy). Delivery contractors were quite friendly, and did leave the necessary hose connections, but it would have been ideal if I did not have to install everything myself.Overall, the bracket installation was relatively painless. When our dryer conked out, we went to Best Buy to find a replacement. We only had our stacking washer/dryer set for 6 years. Not sure if that's long in appliance years. But when it came time, we were told we couldn't use our existing stacking kit with a new dryer and old washer. Therefore we needed to buy a whole new washer and dryer set! Twice what we were expecting to spend. So to me, this little piece of metal actually cost me an additional $900. Not very happy about that. And the installation wasn't all that great either leaving the dryer vibrating every time the washer went into spin mode. Thanks for compromising the compatibility of your products, even the smallest components cost us!
We bought this stacking kit for our front load washer and dryer in Aug 2021. It is now Oct 2022 and this has been such a game changer for our tiny laundry room. Being able to stack the dryer on top of the washer allowed room for our extra upright freezer in the tiny space--which was such a helpful solution, as we had nowhere else to put the freezer. Installation had it's tricky moments, but I don't think this was an install that required YouTube guidance, as we often defer to these days (but don't feel badly if you need a little YouTube guidance with your install)!
