This one was fairly eeasily to build with a couple people, it was a Christmas present and assembled with time to play that day. It's fairly portable with wheels to move the base around and a backboard that's not too heavy. My 11yo can change the adjustable height on his own. The backboard is a little smaller than standard but I think that also makes it less of a fall risk on windy days/nights. Quite happy with this purchase for driveway shooting practice.

A really great product. I found this to be a better design than the branded competitors product. The height lift mechanism is way more stable and solid for me. There is scratching finish on the backboard, however this was not an issue for me. The whole unit is very well made and solid. I outsourced the construction of it to a professional and highly recommend this. It took him under 2.5 hours.

Purchased as a Xmas gift, so my sons could practice while not in training. Took a couple of hours to assemble. Due to things being manufactured by machine some of the holes didn't line up making it difficult at times to get bolts through and needed hammer to knock it through.Annoyed it doesn't have a push/pull pulley handle for lowering and raising as my younger kids cannot adjust themselves but is easy enough for an adult or big kid to do.Other than that the quality is good and has already provided hours of fun 1v1 for my boys.Great that it has a decent size backboard and regulation height to allow practising the basketball skills while training is not on!! And has been great at getting the kids off their tech!Despite my cons, I am very happy with my ... MorePurchased as a Xmas gift, so my sons could practice while not in training. My son had the basketball system only a month. We are happy with the purchase. The box had one less coaching bolt. And the instructions inside are for a different model. On rebel website are available only steps one and two and YouTube has all other models but this. Rebel asked to replace the system for one bolt. The bolt is not available in Bunnings, so we were lucky to find something that works in another place. Could have been a headache to dismantle the whole thing down and taking it back to the shop and ruined Christmas gift.
I'm very happy with this basketball system. It seems very sturdy and good quality and wasn't too hard to put together. I like that you can reduce the height for the kids then raise it back up to full height for the adults. Just to note, it was larger than I expected when I picked it up. It is a large backboard/large box and I struggled to get it to fit in the back of my 7-seater SUV which usually fits anything. I luckily had no kids with me as I had to fold the seats down to fit it in. It's also very heavy and hard to move so having two people collect it would be recommended. But it's definitely worth it and very happy!
Bought this for my sons 7th birthday. We've had so much fun with it, especially during lockdown. Very sturdy. Our backboard sits a little bit crooked due to one of the holes not aligning but barely noticeable. Contacted Lifetime to see if there was anything we missed or needed to do, but they just sent out a whole new backboard from the USA. Wasn't expecting that, will probably keep it as a spare as my partner is not keen on pulling it all apart again. Was worried it may be too high for my son, but its perfect height for him on the lowest setting. We did have trouble raising and lowering it, but check the instructions! You don't push the same spot as where you lower it. If your buying the sand from Bunnings, make sure the bags are dry (we had to click and collect so didn't get a choice). Had to empty them on a tarp to dry out in the sun. Its quite painful to fill, but wont budge once done.Took some time to assemble as others state, there are plenty of videos online if you need them. My partner did it by himself, though 2 people at some points would have made it easier.Would definitely recommend this basketball system. I looked for cheaper online but you get what you pay for.
Great product, but the instructions need revamping.. product itself is sturdy, well constructed individual pieces that fit together nicely. My issue was with instructions that dont reflect the actual pieces accurately.. Metal brackets that are bent at 45 degrees are depicted as straight in the instructions, and some steps of the instructions arent described very well with poor illustrations that dont help a poor frazzled Dad who is trying to assemble the product at 6am on Christmas day. Finished(assembled) product is however well worth the blood sweat and tears induced by the instruction booksshortcomings...
This hoop system was as easy to set up. The longest part and most difficult part was the sand filling. A suggestion is to ensure you buy dried sand as this will vastly speed up the filling. Or you can raid the kids sand pit of dried sand and refill it with wet sand. The height adjustment is simple and easy to do. Great youtube instruction videos available. This is handy not just for you but also for the kids who might not be at reading age yet.
Relatively easy to assemble but you definitely require 2 people to attach the backboard to the pole and to fill the base. The estimated time to install of 3hrs is pretty much on the money. The build seems quite sturdy and I am very confident that it will not fall over even in high wind situations as the base once filled with water is quite heavy and stable. In terms of playability, it is quite a forgiving ring and backboard unlike many public outdoor courts so good to improve confidence with making baskets especially for my 9.5 year old boy.Overall I am quite happy with the product and I am now looking at adding a chain basketball net!
I've finished setting one of these up and it's not as hard as some might suggest. The instructions are clear and the videos that you can link to are also clear. Takes a couple of hours though if you are own your own and you need a 2nd person at the very end to put the final touches together. It's top heavy, so make sure you have the sand ready to fill the base. My only suggestion is that the holes in the based need to be bigger to enable you to more quickly put the sand in there. I ended up making a larger hole and patching it.
