I bought my 2 metre LIFX Lightstrip online - it's actually 2 x 1 metre strips - and I just love this product. The installation was quick and easy, just 4 steps involved (clean surface, connect the strips together, remove backing and stick to back of tv, connect to power). The Apple LIFX app is easy to use and has plenty of pre-installed themes. The effect is fantastic and negates the need to have lamps or other lights on whilst it is on.

Light strip works great. Great colour and great brightness. Only problem is the LIFX app doesn't work for me. It will constantly get stuck while trying to create a new light in-app. The Home Kit feature works perfectly fine which means the app is to blame.

I have a Uniquiti UniFi home network with multiple wireless access points and the lights disconnect when I roam between the access points. A normal home network probably wouldnt have this problem.

Purchased these thinking it would be a good cheap alternative to the Philips hue's. Spent almost an entire day trying to get them connecting to the app. It would work for 15secs then drop out and the only way to get them going again was doing a hard reset. I tried all the troubleshoot recommendations and even made sure it was running on a guest 2.4ghz line but still had connectivity issues. It should be more clear in the set up instructions how much it will screw up if you have a 5ghz connection. Have since bought the Nano leaf starter kit and got it all set up with 5mins of having it and works perfectly.
Very great product. Easy setup. Fast response time. Colour range is fantastic and the colour options through the app is fantastic with different effects. Just wish you had the same control through HomeKit as you do through the LIFX app
As with all LIFX products I own, this one is as great as the others. Super easy and simple installation via the app. App is also well designed and simple to use. Connected within 5 minutes. Super simple to set themes and colours for a bit of ambient TV lighting. Loving having this synced up to my Harmony and Google accounts. Plays very well with other LIFX products and can sync to those also. The 3M tape holds like glue. Other LED light strips I've used in the past tend to peel and fall from the rear of the TV as it is not completely smooth.
These are so much better than the Hue lightstrips, no bridge ($65-$100 saved) needed, the LEDs are much closer together, best of all you can change the 8 zones per metre to different colours, and the richness of colours is far superior! I’ll be buying more soon.

I have had nothing but issues. Having to continuously reconnect to the app daily, resetting the hardware. Now its not connecting to Google Home, which is one of the main features I purchased the product. Worked off of the wifi for 2 weeks then wasn't able to detect it anymore all of a sudden, resulting in purchasing of a wifi extender. The new version of the App has not seemed to help at all, there is little to no support. Shame there is so much the developers need to work on still, this feels like a beta product not one that should be on the market yet.
Pros: - Very bright - I don't need any other lights on, these lights provide a nice ambient and cozy vibe to my room. - All colours look amazing and vibrant - Easy install, was done in under 5 minutes - Great app that allows you to control many features such as brightness, colours, themes, etc Cons: - Price
