This light kit is awesome! With a few additional components I added lights to the hanger bay on the underside of the ship as well as lights for the cannons. It is awesome to see this lit up with the flashing of the guns and the whole thing is just stunning!

Beautiful.I also add the music remote chip for control and the music of the Republic clone army theme.

Absolutely love the results of this kit. Instructions were easy to follow and the lights look great! My only criticism is that the dimmer only links into certain lights. I may buy a separate dimmer so I can dim the whole ship for a more “night light” esthetic. My 15 yr old did all the installation with very little adult help.
Really well thought out light kit that is actually realistic to canon. The wires are a bit thicker than the competitors but that is a good thing, I do drilling modifications with the LEGO bricks to improve installation and retaining clinch power of the bricks.
I think this light kit looks absolutely stunning! I love that I can edit the brightness of some of the lights as well! This thing could almost be used to light up a room.There was one part in wiring the wires from the bridges, where they were supposed to go under a brick that looks like a bench. I could not at all get it to stay and eventually decided to just take the pieces off. Other than that, it’s perfect!
I really like and dont like this light kit, here is my reasoningGood:Use of Ring lights for the large enginesUse of Yellow lights for the hangar baysUse of Light blue lights for the smaller enginesBad:No lighting for Main Guns (I added these via DIY components)Use of the Dimmer Effects board seems a bit pointless in my opionionUse of White lights in areas that could have used Light Blue lights, (Bridge and side lights)All in all, i think this set was a little rushed, with added lights for the main and possibilty secondary guns, as well as using Light blue lights for where there are transparent 2x1 peices, i would still happily pay $200 for a set like this. I still think Light My Bricks did a good job on this set, but could have done better.
Tried a cheap brand first and immediately regretted it. Packed it up and send it back as I plunged in and ordered this kit. Absolutely fantastic! Lights are great! Instructions are very thorough. My only question is can you make an add-on kit for the top opening hanger MOD?
Just got done with my kit yesterday. Very well thought out kit but my only complaint is I wish in some instances additional text explaining the next part would be including in conjunction with pictures. Couple places I had to look over the instructions a couple times to get my bearings on how to proceed. Everything worked great and really sets off my kit.
Debated for a while whether I should go with another brand or stick with LMB -- this is my second light kit that I've ever done, first being the Lego Tall Neck #76989 but unfortunately this kit was sold out around Christmas time when I bought the lego set, so I had to wait a while but finally was able to get one and wow, it's pretty dang perfect. While others may want more lights on the bridge or on the main cannons, I think the lights on the side and around the hangars really bring it together and don't just blow everything out with just "LOOK, BRIGHT LIGHTS". There is a dimmer included to dim the side lights, which I've personally found ~50% to be a great look without overpowering everything else. Unfortunately it's a bit difficult to get to the dimmer wheel as ...
