I absolutely love Lindt Excellence 95% cocoa dark chocolate. For me, the darker the better and this is perfection to me. A huge reason is chocolate is an antioxidant and the darker you go, the less sugar. While I usually eat the bar, I have found this particular blend great over a sweet potato, stuffed with cinnamon sunflower cream cheese (no dairy) and drizzle the dark chocolate over it. It's honestly weirdly like a canoli and good for you. I'll review the sunflower cinnamon cream cheese on another post. Wherever you decide to indulge in this delight, know that even tho you are indulging it's a good indulgence!

Lindt is a great chocolate bar, but one should be wary of which Lindt bar you choose if you are also seeking the health benefits of eating chocolate. If you buy the 70% or 85% bar, then you are safe. They do not use the dutching process (use of an alkalizing agent to process cocoa) for these two products. However, Lindt uses the dutching process for the 90% bar, so beware. This process unfortunately takes many of the flavonoids out of the chocolate, deleting the antioxidant ability it might have had. I have also heard bad things about the soya lecithin they use (interrupts testosterone production) but this may just be a rumor or an over-dramatization of its effect. Therefore, stick with the 70% or the 85% bar if you want the health benefits of eating this ... MoreLindt is a great chocolate bar, but one should be wary of which Lindt bar you choose if you are also seeking the health benefits of eating chocolate. If you buy the 70% or 85% bar, then you are safe. And, believe me, Lindt is the way to go for this benefit, since these bars taste great, and they are some of the cheaper quality bars on the market. Don’t get me wrong, they are not gourmet chocolate bars, but they are quite good, and they also preserve most of the health benefits too.

I have been buying these bunnies for years! I love the dark chocolate version. It’s not too sweet. I personally love to eat the ears first. It’s my little pleasure. 🐰 I think this is a nice host gift or simply a treat. Get them on sale after Easter. They are 60% off!

Amazing IF you are looking for NO ADDED SUGAR
26 August 2023

I highly recommend this chocolate bar to those who are looking for a NO ADDED SUGAR chocolate bar. This is a delicious option IF you have been working on detoxing your taste buds from sugar and high corn syrup. If you are a regular sugar and candy consumer you will not enjoy this bar. But if you like chocolate, are on a no sugar diet by choice or because you have to, and you have detoxed your palette of sugar, you will love the richness, simplicity, and softness of this chocolate bar. I highly recommend it IF you aren’t addicted to sugar. If you are a regular sugar eater, and who isn’t?, just stick to the many other delicious sugar added options in the market. This is my favorite afternoon treat and now a staple of my grocery shopping list.

Great price for high percentage dark chocolate
12 June 2023

Best price around town for these high percentage dark chocolate bars. High quality and delicious. I melt these in some warm milk or just have a square as a tasty snack. Even my kids like them. Besides, chocolate is healthy, right?? #sweepstakes

Healthy snacks choice. Each bite give best smiles
19 June 2023

BJ's always bring the best products and those give the best value to our money. This dark chocolate is very good for health and very tasty. Dark chocolate recommended by dieticians for best snack choices, and helps to reduce sugar intakes, which can help you maintain better health stats. You never get disappointed buying this.

High quality, luxurious flavor, just pricey.
28 January 2023

One square of Lindt's will satisfy my chocolate craving without indulging in any more that day. I don't crave chocolate often, but Lindt's quality and deep rich chocolate flavor is the best I've found locally. It's unfortunate that the price for the package is so high, if it wasn't I would also try using Lindt chocolate in baking or for making candies. I like the product.

Winter is a perfect time to indulge and what better indulgence than Lindt! We took advantage of the Woolworths chocolate festival to sample some different flavours. We normally are mint or nut addicts. We enjoyed this Cranberry, Almond and Hazelnut slab. Now to taste the new Mango offering!

New Lindt 55% Chocolate - munch, drink or pud
25 November 2019

I?m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. I am not a chocoholic, but I have always enjoyed Lindt (and some other chocolate) in small quantities. This 80g thin Bar of 55% chocolate is a recent addition to the Range of Lindt bars and tastes like the standard wrapped Lindt chocolates but in a bar so no centre, obviously. It is a milk chocolate but has added cocoa mass but richer in cocoa taste. Nice to munch, brilliant in a hot chocolate, but actually the winning use for me is as the base of a Chocolate Pot, importantly a good taste, it won't set really hard or even solid like 60% plus or more does, it won't be too rich and nicely fills a gap in the market of high quality chocolate that was once filled by Cadbury's Bourneville (Plain) bars - ... MoreI?m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. Quite frankly had I not been given an opportunity to review this Free Product I would have ignored it thinking it too lightweight. As a luxury brand base for a special pud at Christmas 2 bars will make 8 - 10 small choc pot puds with my recipe. Be interesting to get family feedback - other suspect - ooh this is like the original taste when first made 30 years ago - well I hope so - Thank you Ocado. To tell the truth I had to hide this to review my own thoughts as covetous eyes.... well now there is half a bar left, let's see how quickly it vanishes into a Hot Chocolate.. Note... Other Half says Waitrose are doing a 50% high cocoa mass bar, he bought one for his hot Chocolate stash - i have just had a nibble. I prefer Lindt and it will suit my Choc Pot purpose too, it will set but correctly . My words and free choice.
