Still getting to grips with all of it's features, but the sound quality is excellent and the choice of sounds give me everything I need from an amp.Another winner from Line 6!

This is the next step in getting modelling closer to valve. 6 great amp models, a very effective eq and effects too!I’ve used it at home, in Rehersal and in outdoor gig situations and it handled them all perfectly. Honestly don’t think you could get better in this price range. Would definitely recommend.

Tried every solid state amp at my guitar center with the help of staff with similar Strat I own. Orange, Marshal, Boss, and a Fender Tone Master Twin Reverb. (Keep in mind I have two tube amps I totally dig. My number 1 a Fender 68 Custom Vibrolux Reverb amp, and a BlackStar HT40) after playing all of them it came down to the $1050 Fender and the $499 Catalyst. Even though I have a Line 6 POD "the bean" I went inexpensive and took the catalyst home. I could not get it to sound like it did at Guitar Center...then tried using it just as a power amp with my POD...eh...it was alright...FOR ME, it just had too much going on..for the price it's a great amp especially if you want to use it's effects. Needless to say I returned it and spent the extra 500 for the Tone Master ... MoreTried every solid state amp at my guitar center with the help of staff with similar Strat I own. If on a budget and need the effects, don't mind what I found, it has a lot going on/bit complicated it should serve you well.

I own 2 of these and ABY them. Keeping it short and sweet it's definitely a blast to play through and even the gear snobs I know have caved to liking them.

Great Amp
31 December 2022

This amp has everything a guitarist needs. Powerful, with a range of different output settings, great sound, good range of tones, effects and a variety of great sounding reverbs.Plus it will integrate reasonably well with your DAW of choice and can also be used as just a cab if using a separate power amp.Line 6 have done it again and all at a very reasonable price point.

I decided to try the Catalyst 100 after lugging around a very heavy full valve amp for over 30 years! If nothing more than for just a practice amp.I’m not going to go into the differences, but say it’s a great sounding amp, good for practice and to gig with.

Amp can handle live events and hold its own, 200w blows the doors off but tone down the power and perfect for in home practicing. Excellent tone and external pedals gel well with the amp. It's light for its size so mobility ain't an issue. Watt adjuster a huge aid to practice or shake the walls.

Perfect amplifier for home use
22 March 2022

The amp looks good in the room and the knobs and pots are more tactile than the boss katana, which I had before. I like the different amp channels, and the amp works well together with my line 6 HX Stomp - either using stomp just for effects, or in power amp in mode for amp modelling. The catalyst speaker is great. Much better than line 6 power amp, imo (which I have had too)Can't go wrong for the price.

Straight out of the box, without fine tweaking, I was pleasantly surprised to discover there was not much "Digital-Fizz" on the drive channels, the effects are easy to use, the two channels A+B are handy, also being able to save your settings is fantastic, the three power setting 0.5w / 100w/ 200w is excellent for bedroom, studio or stage, on the back theres the usual good stuff: effects loop, USB connector, phones, line out, power selector etc. Overall I'm very pleased with this amp, I think it has great potential and will stand alongside my JCM 800, Peavey 30, Vox ac30.

Mainly home/personnel studio. Has many features built in so additional pedals are not required to get many different sounds.
