I play most every weekend for my home church and often travel to record with friends so I knew I needed to keep my new Helix Floor unit safe on the road. I learned about the Helix Backpack from posts I read as a member of some of the Line 6 social media groups. Since user confidence was so high on it I figured I’d get one for myself. I am certainly glad I did.First of all, it looks sharp, almost tactical in nature. The main compartment is heavily padded and a perfect fit for the Helix Floor unit. This section does not unzip like a suitcase; it opens just enough for the unit to slide comfortably in and out of the compartment. I actually chuckled when I first opened this compartment because the inner surface has “Helix” written all over it. Don’t worry Line 6, I’m ... I actually chuckled when I first opened this compartment because the inner surface has “Helix” written all over it. Don’t worry Line 6, I’m not gonna forget what goes in this backpack. Well played, sirs. The larger outer pocket is perfect for cables and accessories and even comes with a generous amount of Velcro strips to wrangle your cables with. Nice touch! This section opens fully, revealing storage sections in the lid. Two of these are zippered web pouches and the other is a full-length sleeve perfect for sheet music. Although externally padded, this section isn’t as padded as the main compartment but it doesn’t need to be.The smaller external compartment is perfect for tools or perhaps larger effects pedals. It can hold one of my Vox Joe Satriani pedals with its large enclosure with ease. Again, not much external padding.Zippers are flexible with an old school “soda cab tab” vibe. They are nicely padded under your fingers and slide easily. There are two rows of MOLLE loops at the top alongside the smaller compartment for convenience. Two rugged carry handles, one on the top and one “suitcase style” on the side, feel very strong and secure. The unit balances well when carried on its side but admittedly feels a bit face heavy when carried from the top. The case is meant to stand up on its sturdy rubber feet but mine always falls face first. Keep this in mind, it’s the only drawback I have seen in the backpack. The underside or backside of the unit is well padded and the shoulder straps come tucked inside a zipper section. Once extracted and snapped together they prove to be very soft and supple and well padded. They are shaped well and resist slippage ever when only on one shoulder. Each length adjustment is very easy (one handed) once the backpack is in place. This is a really comfortable and safe solution for transporting your expensive Helix unit. It is obvious Line 6 did a lot of homework and coupled with a serious cartage company to make this for us. I am so glad they did.

I'm very glad I ordered this backpack for my Line 6 Helix! The Helix is much heavier than I expected, so it would've been pretty burdensome to try and lug it around without a case or in a briefcase-style case. This backpack is very durable and has a lot of useful compartments. I use my Helix with a Seymour Duncan Powerstage 170. The Powerstage (and the power supply cable) fits perfectly in the top square compartment. The medium-sized zip compartment is perfect for holding all of my instrument and mic cables, as well as my microphone and wah pedal. Another plus is that this backpack came with a handful of velcro cable straps to keep everything organized. This backpack has cut down on the amount of totes/bags I used to carry to my gigs, so now I just bring this! I ... MoreI'm very glad I ordered this backpack for my Line 6 Helix! At first I looked into possible cheaper alternatives to transport my Helix around, but was hesitant with what I saw, so I figured I’d pull the trigger on the backpack. When I opened it up, I was amazed by the quality and design. There is SO MUCH storage. I literally have no problems storing a power strip, foldable guitar stand, and 5 to 6 cables in addition to my Helix floor, and there’s STILL additional pockets for other things. The padding is plentiful so I’m not worried about bumping my backpack around. The stowaway carrying straps are convenient too, so I can have this on my back, guitar in one hand, and amp on the other!Good job Line 6! And thanks AMS for the quick shipping! Love you guys!

After I had purchased my Helix Floor, I shopped around for a carrying case that would be easy to carry and provide good protection.A friend of mine had the Line 6 Backpack, and once I saw how it was built and the 2 additional storage compartments, I was sold on it. Other cases did not offer the additional storage, nor the ease of carrying. Now, when I head to practice or a gig, I have everything in one case, including 6 instrument cables, 2 mic cables, a power-strip, my DI and other misc items I may need. With that being said, the last thing that makes this the perfect pack, is that the shoulder straps are super-comfortable and I can put the pack on one shoulder AND easily carry two guitars without the pack slipping off.Fantastic design!!
Convenient, all-in-one solution. I use the Helix LT which fits snuggly and is well protected. Backpack's handles are positioned smartly. Plenty of storage options that allows me to pack most, if not all, of the essential cords, outboard effect pedals, power supplies, etc. Has allowed me to reduce the number of backpacks and cases I need to carry into a venue. Having the Helix branding adds an extra cool factor. It's silly but that feature is cool. Only drawback is it's pricey.
The Helix is not an easy thing to carry and as it is quite heavy, you need something reasonably substantial to transport it in. This bag has good padding for the main unit and decent sized pockets for cables and bits and pieces. Shoulder straps make it wearable. It's not pretty but it doesn't need to be. It's expensive though and it doesn't need to be that either. You can get a flight case for the same cost.
With all of the wannabes out there, LINE 6 gear will always be the real deal for me. Being a partner with Yamaha you get the best of both worlds. I started with a LINE 6 Flextone III X-LARGE as my very first purchase. I sold it after owning it for 10 years and it worked like the day I purchased it. I owned the HX STOMP and traded up to a Helix LT. Most of the brands today are great but a lot of times you're paying for a name with less quality. Line6 to me is the real deal. I'm planning on purchasing a Variax soon. I know I'll have no regrets.
I have a lot of gear! Bought from every company out their . I love dealing with these guys. They have knowledge of most everything they sell and if they don't they put you on the phone with someone who does. I feel safe buying from them. Ships same day and I usually see the product in 1-2 days. Keep up the good work and I will keep buying from you. Thanks
I purchased a Helix 6 months ago and used another case to carry it to and from rehearsals and gigs as this was backordered. I thought the price was a little steep but finally got mine and am honestly blown away by the quality and the thought that went into the design of this case. Well worth the money IMHO. The main compartment that holds the Helix is a perfect fit and holds the Helix really well. The foam padding is thick and durable and also replaceable. There are zippers on the inside of the case that make it possible. There are stow away straps that tuck inside the backpack if you'd prefer a standard handle for lugging. I might add both the straps and the handles are really sturdy. I like the second pocket's size. It can hold 4-6 extra pedals and smart how it's ... I might add both the straps and the handles are really sturdy. I like the second pocket's size. It can hold 4-6 extra pedals and smart how it's velcro compatible on the inside so you can actually mount the pedals in there and they won't slide around when in route. The third pocket is good for holding picks, capos and the Helix's power adapter. The outer zippers are awesome, they form a really tight seal when zipped up that will hold rain out. Overall this is one of the best cases I've used and couldn't be happier with this purchase. There's a long wait list at the moment but it really is worth the wait.
My backpack came as a "gift" with the purchase of my Helix. I was really expecting a vinyl peice of junk, so was pleased to see the quality and layout of this backpack. My wife wanted to use it as luggage. As mentioned earlier, the three zippered, pocket layout allows you to organize cables, computers, literature, other accessories well. They even included areas for memory sticks, meaning your diversity on stage just grew asymptotically. All sections are well padded.. The only improvement I'd like to see is a better fit for the Helix bag section
