Poor coverage as bigger house and want to get reception in garden.Bought two two packs of Velop AX4200 as thought needed 4 to get good coverage. Installed alongside the old system (no LAN backhaul on second Velop). Results:1) On average ~50% farther range (subjective number, surprised that better).2) Download 2-3 X faster service (expected), ie up to 640 MBPS.3) Upload still poor at 20 MBPS, same as old Wifi 5 system, don't know why.Result is two units were enough (just), and have returned one two pack unopened.Great website for learning about systems is dongknows.com.

I recommend this product if you want fast speeds and good coverage, but don't expect anything else. The setup is not straightforward. Bought the Velop May 5 as I have over 30 devices in the house connecting to the network and the router from Virgin just can't handle these many devices (as I was told by the Virgin technician). Initially it was a breeze to setup and no issues at all for 2 weeks.My power went out 2 weeks after I bought the unit. When the power came back on, the system resumed almost normally. TV wouldn't connect properly to the network for the next 2 days but every other device worked. I had a device hardwired to a child node which worked well after the power outage. I have had this item since December of 2021 and have multiple issues and their tech support can not resolve anything. When I remove them form our system and use the Blue Curve router, or an Asus router, all of my issues disappear. Every week I have be on the phone with support and every time the are asking me to change setting, reboot everything or setting them back to factory defaults and starting over again. Not only will they not allow my external hard drive to function properly, page loading on my wireless devices deteriorates over time. Good Points: The kit is really well designed and easy to use.Improvement Points: It is based on theoretical speeds. It was impossible to get the most out my FTTH 950mb connection. The most I personally got was 400/500. No matter what I tried it didn’t happen anywhere near the full speed even on Wifi 6. The solution was an Ethernet cable in the end. Maybe my situation had interference of some sort, but we are talking of a distance of 8m diagonally away which apparently had full signal and measured full speed at the base but half of it wireless.

The issue persisted. After a bunch of back and forth with the ISP, we decided to the Wi-Fi capabilities back on my modem to see if they can narrow down what is going on from there. After some time with that on and the Velop unplugged, we soon realized the issue was the router itself. Thankfully, I got GSPR on the item. I highly recommend that, for higher end or pricier devices.
