I bought several skeins of this yarn some of dark and stormy off Amazon and 10 of the blue sapphire from Joann’s online. My order did not ship in full, some of the yarn I ordered (unicorn) was completely cancelled when showing it was in stock when I ordered and via pickup curbside. Overall I’ve had a good experience with this yarn. Some of the blue sapphire skeins had some inconsistencies such as too many loops in one area but I just cut those out. There are some spots with all the yarn I’ve used where it was like a brown/ grayish spot but that is easily hidden and not as noticeable as it would be with single colored yarn. I’ve seen several reviews saying similar things in particular with the blue sapphire color. This yarn is great for beginners such as me who’ve ... I wanted to love this yarn. But unfortunately I just can't. 1 huge issue is the length per skein is not consistent. I normally buy bernat which comes in 150gram skeins. These come in 95gram-100gram skeins. I figured I'd need a few extra skins to account for the difference but I actually needed double. With bernat I was buying 8 skeins for a big throw (think twin mattress top size. ) with this brand im currently on my 15th skein and I'm very thankful this is for a small child or it wouldn't be big enough. The loops constantly very in size, have large knots on them or between loops where it must have broken during the process of making the loops or they just seem short in length. And the texture varies from soft to almost prickly. Will not be buying anymore of these ... MoreI wanted to love this yarn. I loved working with the Off the Hook Ombre yarn. Blankets turned out so pretty with the color shading style. I can't wait to order more. Made several blankets using the mint green, shell, pink, blue, teal and greenery. Awesome product. Would recommend to anyone.

I've bought Lion Brand before and didn't care for it but seen ombre so thought I'd try it. It deserves no stars. All this is, is different colors that are tied together at the end of one color and the start of the next color. I thought well maybe it'd be ok if the number of loops are the same. They weren't. The color before the last only went over 5 loops and there was 3 loops tied together to use take through 1 loop. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Waste of money.
I recently learned how to hand knit and started making blankets. I am a go getter and want to learn everything all at once. Every kind of pattern and every style you can make it in. I have tried so many yarns from weight #4 to Jumbo #7. I love Lion Brand because the choices are endless. The colors are beautiful, and the yarn is easy to work with. I've experimented with the loop yarn as well and love the fact that you don't have to worry about your loops being perfect. It does the hard part for you. Your left with a product that looks great and feels great!! I would recommend trying this. You won't be disappointed!
I purchased 16 of these In October, so I am past the return window. I would be returning them otherwise! The balls of yarn are like multiple remnants put together. I can understand it happening once in a ball, but not this many times! I am six balls of yarn in and four have been this way. I've attached a picture showing my sixth ball of yarn. I've already fixed five of these poorly tied together pieces and there are four more left in this one ball of yarn. Quality control is non existent and has made this "easy" project extremely frustrating!
I purchased this loop yarn because of the ombre effect. I like the range of colors from dark to light, my problem with it is the way the manufacturer changed the colors. They knotted them poorly and I had to cut each change in order to continue with my blanket. I think they could have done a much better job.
I purchased 12 skeins each of Cosmic and purple/black/grey mix to make two different blankets. I bought 12, figuring that would be enough for each since they were described as "Jumbo." What a joke! The description should NOT contain "Jumbo." The first skein used has only 374 loops. I started my project's first row with 120 loops (about 72 inches) and only got three rows from the skein with 14 loops remaining. At this rate, I will have to purchase several more to complete either project.I ordered online because I could not get to the store and thought it was a good deal.It wasn't. Be advised.
Bought 10 skeins of this as it was in my son's color choice. Loops were very incontinence in size as well as texture. Some were full and fluffy while others were very thin and skimpy. I have had several loops that fell apart or that sewn together in every skein. Unfortunately 10 balls weren't enough to make a decent size blanket ( smaller than a twin blanket is what I'm going for) so I now have to buy more. I very much dislike this yarn. Other brands of the loop yarn are much nicer more plush and soft with far less problems. I used the benat loops brand and with 6 balls made a large blanket 110 loops wide and nearly 6 feet in length.. However this yarn had the colors my son likes so this is what I went with. After this blanket I will never use this brand of loop ... MoreBought 10 skeins of this as it was in my son's color choice. Loops were very incontinence in size as well as texture. I bought 11 skeins of the sapphire blue. With my blanket being 70 loops wide it worked up to 58 rows but 57 as the finished project as I needed one row to tie off. Over all measurements are about 47in x 55in. I calculated about 15-16 skeins if I wanted a 50x60 Throw. I may be off though so please don’t take my word for it. I love how soft and fast the blanket worked up. Can’t wait to make different patterns and projects!
