The Turtle Sandbox is absolutely brilliant. It really is a timeless classic and really well made. It is clearly going to last a long time. It's great that you can use it as a ball pit or sandpit, so perfect for winter or summer fun. Its really big so fits loads of balls in and we have been hiding various toys inside which has been a fun game. We've also been using the lid turned over as a car and driving it around and an apple tree where we can throw the apples (balls) and then count them.I feel like everyone needs the turtle sandbox in their home.

Turtle has lots of tiny holes in it, like not enough plastic was poured into the mould, so whatever you fill it with, leaks. Spoke to customer service who wanted me to return the item in store, even though when purchasing, it’s an ONLINE ONLY purchase (btw the turtle is 1.5x1m in size so returning is impossible to do with a baby/pram in tow). This had to be escalated to manager, Still waiting on a manager to get back to me. This was over a week ago. VERY disappointing experience.Had it not been faulty, this is a great multi use product for kids!

It’s a small sandbox but perfect for small areas or little ones. The kids don’t care about the size. The lid does a good job of staying put and keeping the sand dry. Overall it’s a good deal and a good product. Sturdy and able to move it full with more than one person. I would buy it again (and actually have. We have one and this one I bought for my grandson.)

I been looking for Sand box that is durable and also good size. Not too small or too big either. Been doing my research and went to the store to check it out. I saw this turtle sand box and my kid loves it. It fit two kids with good room to play with and two seat on the side. Perfect size. It comes with lid so it definitely can save the sand from rain. I bought two and one as a gift for my friend. It fit perfectly in the trunk. We were worry it won't fit but it just right size.
This little sandbox is great! The turtle shell lid is easy for the kids to remove and easy for them to put back on. It keeps the sand from getting wet when it rains and also keep the neighborhood cats from using it as a litter box. Its a great size for toddlers - might be too small for when they get a little bigger, but it's great for my 2 %26 4 year old grandkids right now.
We love our Turtle Sandbox. In the summer we play with it outdoors and in the winter it’s great as a ball pit in the house which the boys adore. They love playing pirates and burying treasure in there and diving into it when it’s full of balls in the house. When playing in the sand in it they love to make sandcastles as well as making tracks for their vehicles to race through. The handy seats on the side are great for them to perch on when digging in the sand and the whole thing is extremely sturdy. We love the versatility of it and the boys have hours of fun making up games using it.
Coming into these wet and cold months the garden play has been more difficult, but we’ve been able to use the Turtle Sandbox inside the house as a ball pit! You won’t find a child that doesn’t enjoy a ball pit. The cute Turtle design was an instant hit in our household as it’s my daughters favourite animal. The sandbox is light enough to move around and go from house to garden. The two front turtle legs act as seats and it comes with a lid to keep sand/balls contained and covered when not in use. It would be great as a messy play or sensory play tray too as the high sides would keep the mess safe inside. The perfect multi use toy and will be loved for years to come.
I was a little worried because of some other reviews but I went ahead and ordered for store pickup. To dispel some of their points- 1- The "sand" all over the turtle...that is plastic shavings/dust from production. Took me 30 seconds to brush it off. 2. There are no notches to hold the lid on...true but all I had to do was hook a bungee cord from one leg to another and then slide it up and down depending on whether the lid needs to stay on or come off. 3. It's too small...this turtle is the exact same size I remember from my childhood 30 years ago. Maybe it looks smaller because we are adult size now??? My 9 and 2 year old both fit without issue. My only complaint is that my 2 year old won't keep the sand inside the sandbox! LOL
The sandbox when we finally got it was great.But it took ages before we could come and collect. I guess it was due to Covid shipping delays from their warehouse to the store. I really wanted something with a cover.It's perfect for my 3yo who absolutely loves playing with their toys in the sand any chance they get. Highly recommend, especially for toddlers. It gets them outdoors and is great for sensory, open-ended play.Some extra info, my little doesn't really sit in the box. They just sort of sit beside it. It's not really big enough to sit in to play with the sand. We haven't found this an issue but it might be something you might want to consider.
This sand and water turtle has been around for a long time! But its popularity has never faded!We purchased our first one about 12 years ago when our oldest grandchildren were the right age to enjoy it. And enjoy it they did! Now we have 15 grandchildren and the old turtle was scratched and warn looking. The eyes were gone, but the structure was still intact and sturdy! So we decided that it had served us well and bought a new one!I am very impressed by the new design! The two front legs of the turtle are seats the the children can sit on while playing with the sand.
