I used this lock to replace the key, I already have a 001 like lock from Whitco. I was able to keep the whitco lock and use the 001 mechanism to replace the key. It looks like I will need to grind the plastic part that carries the battery on the inside slightly to fit over the whitco lock. Very easy to setup (in easy mode). I have not tried the advanced settings yet. Very shiny chrome.

Bought 3 years ago, still works great. Could never go back to worrying about losing house key, or kids being locked out.

I have bought about 8 of these for my restaurant and rental apartments. They are fantastic. Well recommended.
Be aware that this does not retro fit. It must be installed higher than the existing handle and lock. You need to keep the existing handle and lock in place or fill and repair the door after removal. I actually covered the holes with some decorative tiles.

No need to remember keys - use PIN or a swipe card
They are anytime better than having a key access. There is no chance of being absent-minded and leaving the key at the door when you open it. In case of emergency, you can easily provide access to your place. And you can change the combination anytime without worrying about reduplicating keys. This keyless system is not linked to the internet and there is no chance of people hacking into it via the internet. If anyone wants access, they need to contact you for the code.
