I purchased a catalytic convertor cover with bolts to help with theft prevention and I applied the Threadlocker on all four bolts. This also helps me feel secure that while driving the bolts won't loosen and fall off. It's very easy to apply. I like that it's a red color so it's easy to see where I've already applied it. Great addition to my tool box.

Loctite IS the industry standard. Reliable product, performs as advertised. Easy to apply. Clear instructions were provided. Product application/spec chart provided. Less one star because the bottle is not ideal for multiple uses. The cap does not seal well. Additionally, the cap is easy to crack, making leaks even worse. I store the small bottles in zip-lock bags to prevent messes. Also, note there is no expiration date on the bottle or package. For certified work (aerospace) the large bottles come with expiration dates and do not have a leak problem.

occupy it in bicycle and motorcycle hardware and it is very strong, I recommend blue coló if you are going to use it in the same application, otherwise use only minimal amounts.Places where you use them:MOTORCYCLE: sliders, plate holder, cable holder (all exposed to sun, water and dust)BICI: frame suspension screws, brake disc and piston screws (frame screws)

My weekend hobby is Kart racing and anyone that know anything about Karts know that there is quite a bit of vibration that goes on while circling the track. In order to keep any small nuts and bolts from vibrating loose, I picked up this Loctite Threadlocker Red 271. This product is just what the doctor ordered to help keep everything tight. I highly recommend this product for any application where vibration may loosen those nuts and bolts. Awesome product!!
I got this red 271 Loctite thread locker the other day to use on the pillion back rest for my motorcycle. And let me tell this stuff means business! I put a few little drops on the threads of each bolt and tightened everything up. The sense of assurance I get from using this product is such a relief! I can’t recommend this enough. The Loctite Threadlocker Red 271 worked better than expected! I wanted a permanent fix and I feel that’s what I’m getting with this.My washing machine was falling apart and I needed a product that would be lasting. I was also concerned with rusting too. After finding the Loctite Threadlocker Red I knew it was worth the try.As soon as the product was delivered, I went to work. Application is simple. Making sure all parts were clean and dry and shaking the bottle well before use.I applied the 271 on the threads and made sure all parts were assembled correctly. It has been over a month and I have had no issues yet. No sign of rust and the product is lasting.I’ve used the Loctite Blue before and loved that product as well. I knew I’d be happy with the 271.
I work as a mechanic in a construction company and I fix various machinery and air compressors that vibrate a lot and the screws can sometimes losen up and by using Loctite threadlocker red 271 helps keep the screws secure and in place. It is very important for me to fix all the machinery properly and safely. I have been using Loctite Threadlocker Red 271 when fixing certain machinery dealing with screws and what I like about the Loctite is that it helps to tighten the screws so it won't losen up. This is a permanent and heavy duty threadlocker and it dries in 10 minutes and it's easy to use. This is something I will keep on hand and it's a must for me when working in the shop. I highly recommend this Loctite ThreadLocker Red 271 to all.
There's not much positive or negative to say about this product other than it's intended for a specific application and it's very good for that.This red threadlocker isn't general use stuff, you want medium-strength thread locker for most jobs. This is specifically for when you don't want something to come out. It's great for installing threaded inserts or leaf spring U bolts.
Before trying this, I did not know I needed threadlock for my bolts, but now I use it on everything. On my model aircraft, fasteners are very important to the structure ans they tend to fall out due to natural vibration of the plane. Now, there is no need for me to worry because the threads stay in place! Application is easy and not messy at all and works much better thsn originally thought. Loctite is also a fantastic and trusted brand I have used for years.
I received the Loctite Threadlocker Red this stuff works its permanent fix. States would have to cure it up to 500 degrees to get things to remove. Uses for metal sets in 10 mins stops vibrations. Great uses for older cars with multiple vibrations and bolts! Use on heavy bolt threads eliminate nuts and washers!
