I was pleasantly surprised at the weight of both pieces - much thicker and heavier than my other stove top cast iron, which is great and translates to more even heating, even over coals or ripping hot rocket stoves. Wish I'd got this combo years ago. Instantly ups my fried chicken and griddle cooks. Nice finish and pre-seasoning.

Can't go wrong with Lodge. 100% satisfied. Update...Not as awesome as I originally reviewed. I'm using it for the first time and it rocks back and forth a bit on my stovetop. Not 100 percent satisfied.

I wanted good cast iron to bake sourdough bread. Something I would eventually pass on to my daughters Lodge is a classic. And this was the best price I could find for the Dutch oven. This is my 5th piece of lodge but the first to come pre-seasoned (not by my family!). Hits all of my needs like a charm.

I bought this combo two years ago as of writing this review. I've used it religiously in that time, as the skillet lid and the pot, and as a unit. The skillet has tons of breakfasts and dinners in it's seasoning now. I've made near everything under the sun in the pot, from fresh home seasoned green beans or potatoes, to deep fried corn or homemade chicken stock - and it's size makes perfect sized servings of soup for 3-4 people.Our stovetop went out on us one day and, well... cast iron is perfect for the grill. I was able to finish my vegetable beef stew out on the charcoal grill.The price? Cast iron is the best cooking surface !

I have thrown out the expensive high quality junk lined with Teflon and ceramic goo. In my honest opinion you just cant beat the performance and consistency of cast iron. A great product that is handy to have around. You can use the lid separately for things like bacon or sausages. Great stuff !

The product lodge combo cooker 3.2 quart is an excellent cookware. The price is excellent , its a great deal. I am so glad I got this at an excellent price.

This Cast Iron multi cooker gr8 piece to have in your Cast Iron work horse arsenal. It's sturdy ! Holds heat well,cooks very even. Gr8 for bread baking

PERFECT WEIGHT, FOOD TASTES GREAT!!

I unboxed this set and put it on the stove right away and cooked bacon and eggs, after cleaning it with dish washing liquid. This set is just what I wanted. The smaller pan is a bit heavier than the larger dutch oven. I did notice a little area (about the size of the tip of your index finger) on the edge of the dutch oven that was not fully coated, but nothing that made me concerned. It's cast iron and a few imperfections are just that. I rubbed some cooking oil on it and no harm, no foul!! After I took a paper towel and dropped about 1/2 teaspoon cooking oil and wiped the surface of the lid and dutch oven right away (even though it describes it to be 'pre-seasoned'), I turned the burner to medium heat (the lid portion only) and this baby heated up in about one ... MoreI unboxed this set and put it on the stove right away and cooked bacon and eggs, after cleaning it with dish washing liquid. The bacon made that sizzling sound you want to hear and it cooked perfectly, no burn spots, Same with the eggs, except the eggs did stick a bit in a couple places but not enough to ruin them. After enjoying my delicious meal, I cleaned the pan with clear water, wiped it clean with a dry dishtowel and placed it on a medium-hot burner for about one minute so it will get completely dry. After it dried completely, I added a drop of veggie oil and wiped the entire surface insider, handles and outside with a light coat of oil. This is a great set. The two fit together nicely. I have not stopped cooking with them since they arrived. My food tastes better now. I am accustomed to cast iron and I am happy to own this set. I really enjoy cooking with it because the heat is evenly distributed and meats cooks evenly throughout. I recommend this set. I plan to purchase it again in a month or so.

Love this cooker. It's good quality and price. Just the right size for a small family. The pre seasoning is helpful. The skillet is nice and quite heavy, but, it is difficult to remove from the pan if you want to check the food while it's cooking. I still give it 5 stars!
