This is advertised as being compatible with MacOS 10.7 or higher. However, it is very unreliable on MacOS 11.5 and frequently freezes during Zoom calls. Per Logitech, this is a known defect but they continue to sell it anyway:"Thank you for contact Logitech Technical Support! As a matter of fact, new Apple OS X has more sensitive driver encapsulation technology. We had issue with the previous OS X 11.5(Big Sur) and the legacy version of OS X (Catalina). We released the firmware to fix it and we had communication channel with Apple Engineering Team since then. So finger crossed that will be fixed in our next stable release of firmware. "

A good all rounder. More pros than cons

All aspects are great, easy to setup and a good picture. One thing i didn't spot when researching is the mounting bracket is static and does not cater for up/down left/right swivelling (E.G. The cam needs to be physically mounted other than dead centre of your monitor). The Logitech software does allow you to perform that swivelling movement from within the device settings itself, however those settings do not remain active in third party applications such as Microsoft Teams. Apart from that minor wrinkle, its a good device.

Fast installation, I bought it for Zoom video calls and I was impressed. It even allows you to adjust light and color settings there. Easy to install, works, nothing special

I bought this webcam to get better lower light video and resolution than my ten-year-old webcam. It met this low bar easily and was extremely simple to install, essentially plug and play. My last web cam (C310, 720p) was over 10 years old and I was looking to upgrade to something more capable with better image quality and sound without spending too much money. Technology-wise, this is about a 5-6 year jump from what I had and very capable, but not the latest, greatest, which keeps the price down. I like the integrated privacy shutter and obvious camera on indicator. I've gotten some surprised compliments at how clear my voice is coming through a camera without having any issues with audio feedback. By the time I've got the image cropped from wide to standard, and zoomed, I'm sure I'm no longer 1080p quality, but better than starting off at 720p. Controls are good with the companion software and I've had success with multiple types of web meetings for work. The overlap with my screen (narrow bezel) is also smaller compared to my previous camera, so I haven't had to move it out of the way when not in use. I like the base - seems more stable on my screen and like the built-in tripod mount, although I haven't found a good way to use it, myself. I'm backlit and the picture's OK, but not HDR.

So after a while I started looking around for an external web cam. I didn't necessarily want this particular model, but it was the model available when I decided to bite the bullet. Overall I'm very pleased. The video quality is light years beyond the integrated web cam. Can't speak for the audio, however. Never made the comparison. It also travels well. I have small cinch sacks for my various electronics when I travel, and it packs nicely in one of my sacks inside my laptop bag. The manual lens cover is also a plus. Provides security when not in use and also protects the lens when in the sack. Video is always bright and vibrant regardless of lighting conditions. My home office can vary in lighting between "bathed in sunlight" and "dimly lit speakeasy", but the "RightLight" tech in the C925 does a great job of making it appear as though a pro lighting rig is in place. Audio from my computer plays through a 5.1 Yamaha home theater system, which I was worried would cause echo or feedback through the camera's stereo microphones, but unless I crank the audio to unnecessary volumes, I never have echo or feedback problems. The off-axis rejection from these mics is impressive, as my dogs have been barking elsewhere in the house and my co-workers were not able to hear them. The built-in on-air light is green and very bright. I also appreciate the built-in lens cover. Call me paranoid (I have a slide-over cover on my MacBook web cam), but I like the ability to physically block the lens. If you can swing it, the Logitech Brio is incredible. I don't think the video quality is necessarily better than this one right now, but it's a degree of future-proofed being 4K and the audio would likely be better with a large group. Otherwise, I recommend this version. It's reliable for clear audio and video

Webcamerama

Did not research webcams much before deciding on the C925e. Was already in use in workstations across building. Makes a nice picture. Plug and play across Windows10 laptops. Improvement over laptop cams. But once in the virtual classroom with multiple participants and a video platform compressing every video stream/picture you can't tell what camera is "HD/720/1080" or better than any other. Mic pickup and quality was adequate, but we used better mic for presenters. The camera angle adjustable features worked across all monitor set ups. Camera doesn't clamp on, but had enough adjustment range and stayed put for presenters.

Works on Linux with clear audio/video for work and music sessions

I had one of these for work for over two years and was often complimented on the audio & video quality. It's more than just a step up from a laptop. This camera mounts on a conventional tripod with its standard size screw-mount hole. When on a tripod and placed 10+ feet away, recorded my cello practice with great quality sound and image for student/learning purposes via OBS Studio on Linux. (For professional recordings, you'll probably want a ribbon mic which is way beyond scope here.) My instructor really appreciated the audio/video quality. The long cable also helped for recording with a large musical instrument such as a cello where extra clearance for bowing is needed.
