Amazing for home security

I bought 6 of these because they came highly reviewed and didn't need their own independent app to use with Apple Secure Video. They totally live up to the hype.Setting them up is as simple as using the included hardware to mount them, and plugging them in. Then you scan the QR code and they integrate straight into your Apple home.On top of that, the picture has been fantastic. We live in a very rainy area, and the images have been good all hours of the day.The mic is okay quality, but the 1080p video is great, and the wide field of view means we only needed 6 cameras to cover our (quite large and oddly shaped) property.

Bricked After a Year - Does Not Stand By Products

Logitech does not stand by their products. The camera "bricked" just after a year. The reset function does not work. There are no tones and the indicator light blinks all colors rapidly. There are several others with this exact issue. There was no solution, and since it's past warranty Logitech doesn't do a single thing. They do not stand by their products. Don't buy this at all costs, pay the extra money for a different Homekit camera.Pros:- Homekit security- Good viewing angle- Custom motion activity windowCons:- Bricked in a year - useless- Motion detector also useless - too sensitive it would pick up wind and bugs. This made all the Apple Homekit automations useless as well.

Really like the cameras. Decent video. Logitech or HomeKit have a software issue. I have a Circle View Door Camera and 4 Circle View Cameras. My HomeKit hub is a HomePod mini (2nd Gen). I have deleted and added back all the cameras and HomePod, rebooted, power cycled, factory reset, verified all updated software (including HomePod). All cameras, recording and notifications, are set to "Specific Motion is Detected" only. I keep getting "Detected Motion" with the diamond icon (which I should not be getting) with all the associated notifications-which are very bothersome. If it wasn’t for that software issue I would have rated it 5 stars.

Constantly Disconnects
24 January 2023

I will start by saying I love the camera, when it works. The design is beautiful but it simply isn’t functional. I have a whole home setup in HomeKit, multiple HomePods, Apple TVs and HomeKit routers. The camera constantly disconnects and has to be factory reset to work again. I’ve worked with apple support and Logitech support and neither can explain the issue or provide a resolution. I know multiple other owners with the same issues and support threads are plagued by it. I can’t believe they advertise it as reliable.

Good camera with some nagging issues
13 September 2022

I like the camera but there are some drawbacks.Pros: easy setup, homekit integration, straightforward monitoringCons:1. one huge problem is that the camera will constantly reset user settings related to night vision and camera status light - turning both back on often even though the user has chosen to disable them. A device like this should never ignore user settings choices.2. If you scrub through a lot of video the user interface controls can become unstable and can actually reach the point of becoming somewhat unresponsive.

Great little HomeKit camera
11 August 2022

I've purchased 3 of these cameras and installed them in various places around the house. They're working as to how I expect them two. The only two issues that I've run into thus far were:* One camera went offline and never recovered. I had to power cycle to fix. It's been running fine since.* This may be more Apple related than camera related but the ML algorithms sometimes miss or categorize incorrectly. I've gotten animal notifications for shadows on the ground. For installations with longer cabling needs I'd probably consider doing PoE to a 5V converter.Otherwise whether day or night these cameras have been great.

I wish they worked

I bought five of these cameras to replace my ring. The reason is I wanted to move everything to HomeKit. Setup was easy enough. Just connect to HomeKit and go. The issue I had was they would constantly disconnect And go offline! I have gigabit internet and ASUS mesh routers throughout my house but it seemed no matter how much I messed with the settings or how many times I reset and reconnected the cameras, the would all eventually go offline. I have the Logitech doorbell and have not had this issue at all. From reading similar experiences online this seems to be a common issue with these cameras. For the price, I would expect Logitech to have come up with a solution by now but there does not seem to be one. Was Good Until WiFi Change - Bricked
8 July 2022

The installation and activation was incredibly simple. Not a fan of the fixed cable, but at least it's long. But when I could have given it a 5-star rating, I have to now go with 1-star: I changed my WiFi router recently, but ever since the Circle Cam refuses to reconnect to the new network--and Logi tech support has been absolutely useless. I've had the unit for 1.25 year - so it's just out of warrantee, and Logi doe not offer any sort of repair/replacement program. I'd be happy to ship it off and pay a reasonable exchange/replacement fee (say up to 67% of cost). If you have a great WiFi and don't plan on changing your system for a few years, I would recommend this...but if you do ANY changes (who knows, maybe even a firmware update) might brick this camera. :-(

What happened to the functionality of the camera?

I have Logic Circle cameras, version 2. There are kits so one can mount on a window, wireless power options and other great mounting options. The new camera is so limited. I bought two thinking I could use them but with no options but a large base I am just selling them and going to use another vendor. The company must be done with the camera market so my investment in their cameras went down the toilet. Won't stay connected to Homekit - Logitech Support is abysmal
25 July 2022

I have 5 of these, in addition to the Circle View Doorbell. While the circle view doorbell works well (5Ghz), these have had issues since day one (2.4 Ghz). I have over 100 devices connected to Apple Homekit, and this is the only one that has consistent problems. Essentially, every couple of days, it will show as "Not Responding", and I have to reset the camera. The only way to do this is to unplug it and plug it back in. I had these professionally installed, and 4 are outdoors, so getting to unplug and plug back in in the crawlspace and attic was a chore. Since I've had a ticket open (or multiple tickets - since they close the ticket without resolution) since January without any progress, I decided to buy 5 WeMo smart plugs and add to homekit. Since I've had a ticket open (or multiple tickets - since they close the ticket without resolution) since January without any progress, I decided to buy 5 WeMo smart plugs and add to homekit. This at least gives me the ability to reset the camera's power without having to get on a ladder - or remotely when on vacation. I've had 6+ different engineers work my case, and not one of them reads the previous case notes (just responds with a scripted reply). The worst situation was when they applied a Beta firmware to all 5 cameras, and they got significantly worse. I asked them to revert, which they did, and they bricked all 5 cameras. I had to pull them down and perform reset procedures to get them working again - it took hours. About a month ago, I saw some progress - they were stable for about a week. I let the Logitech team know, and for some reason they applied the Beta back to all 5 cameras. They are HORRIBLE now. I've tried reaching out to have this corrected for a month, and they will not revert back to the production, non-beta release - nor reply to my e-mail. The excuse they come up with is "you are using a mesh network, can you replace that with a non-mesh wifi system?" I have 6500+ square feet, and that's just not possible. In addition, they are the ONLY accessory that has issues in Homekit. Finally, when they are responsive in Homekit - they are still on the network, with an IP address, and pingable. I could go on and on describing the hours I've wasted with this product. If I could give this a 0 I would. If you are considering purchasing this, unless you have a very small home with one AP and aren't using mesh, I would run as fast as you can away from this. The product is garbage, and the support is even worse.
