Can't beat it for the price

Although the lightweight construction makes the whole thing feel a little bit cheap, overall you really can't beat the functionality for the cost. I was looking for some additional levers to control things like flaps and landing gear in MSFS2020 and this thing works great. I also really like the detents at the bottom of the lever travel. All in all this works great as an addition to my Saitek X52.

The unit works... I had an older one 10 years older. That felt much more sturdy. This new unit feels cheap and the plastic is flimsy. Would I buy it again, yes, but only till something else comes around that costs roughly the same amount. Don’t see that happening in the near future. So if you need a throttle buy it but understand it’s not an upgrade. BTW I have seen these selling on other sites for 100 dollars more then what I paid here. Make sure you shop around, if you pay more then 100 dollars I would pass it by.

Good Hardware, Bad Drivers....

This is good hardware. Built well & to last. Good controls and easy to operate. The Logitech drivers are trash though. I even had Logitech send me the 64bit drivers and it still didn't work. The hardware works great with a program that recognizes the throttle. No problem. Works on my simulator just fine after some minor adjustments.

Logitech G Saitek Pro Throttle Quadrant
4 November 2020

I purchased this throttle quadrant in October to compliment my new Alpha Honeycomb which does not have an integrated throttle. First impression; exterior quality is very good and well designed. All lever movements from full open to close are snug and responsive, and pressure feedback during movement is what you would expect. I am using it in both X-Plane 11 and MSFS 2020 and both recognized the device on startup. Configuration was straightforward within both sims. Time will tell whether it will withstand use, however I do recommend this throttle quadrant got any flight sim enthusiast.

O.K. product for sim immersion

Do not get this product if you want to have one of the three levers actuate the landing gear! For that purpose Saitek makes a similar device, Pro Flight Switch Panel, (with a switch with LEDs which actually actuates landing gear, and at the time of this review sells for $81 here at Walmart (used to be $100 or so!). That being said, this device can be used for its plain intended purpose, actuating throttle, Propeller Pitch, Fuel Mixture, Flaps, or Flaperons or Air Brakes (reverse Throttle in jets). The switches are On/Off and 6 in all (3 rocker switches capable of activating 2 different functions each), which also the Pro Flight Switch Panel has plenty of! So, you decide if you already have throttle, and switches on your yoke or joystick, why bother getting this? On the other hand, to have another gadget, go for it!One more thing: The lever for flaps (whichever you decide to use since there are 3 to choose from and are programmable), is not very accurate to the rate of flaps desired. For instance, with one of my Cessna 182 sim planes which has 4 flap settings (10%, 20%, 30% and 40%, for example), the lever will do two or three clicks and will lower or raise the flaps at a higher rate than needed. So, the accuracy and rate of the lever does not match the percentage of flap needed, if you get what I am saying. For instance, when my lever is at 100% my flaps are all the way up, but when I put the lever at 75%, the flaps don't actuate to the 10% of the plane till I get the lever to go all the way to 50%, and then the flaps go all the way down to 30%, and so forth. That's just an idea of the discrepancy, but it may also have to do with the airplane chosen, settings, etc.I already have a joystick and throttle combo I use instead of a yoke, so the throttle function of this quadrant is used for something else, but it's nice to have the extra switches and assign them functions I would otherwise assign through a keyboard stroke(s), such as lights, on/off, etc.I personally should have bought the Pro Flight Switch Panel now that I see I cannot use any lever to control my landing gear, but I also intend to make a somehow realistic cockpit, so hopefully, this piece of equipment will come in handy later as I put slowly the pieces together!I have seen other reviews of this same item, and after a while, it looks as if it starts to deteriorate (the electronics, such as pots, switches, etc.), and people start to have problems reassigning functions,or just plainly the device stops working, so I guess for $50 and for 3 years, it may a O.K. to add this item to your existing simulator.

Perfect throttle for a perfect price

Your typical usb throttle quadrant. I bought it to add to my current setup so I can fly twin engine aircraft better. This comes with extra throttle, prop and mixture nob bits and a nice bar that connects all 3 levers into 1 for larger aircraft. The levers feel very tight compared to my 5 year old quadrant i now use as a secondary prop and mixture. Nice, solid brackets to mount and good quality wire. If you need a basic quadrant to add to your flight deck here you go, yes there are better options but this is a perfect fill in

Replacement of a quadrant that shows wear after 5 years

The Logitech Throttle Quadrant is a very useful adjunct to a well-equipped flight simulation setup. My first one was actually part of the Cessna Yoke product, and connected to that via a DIN connector rather than the USB connector of the separate version that I've just purchased.I use my flight simulator setup a lot. I'm a private pilot and use it practice instrument approach procedures, and as a way of preparing to visit new airports. I'll sometimes spend three or four hours just practicing approaches and departures from airports I'm not familiar with. After about five years of this, my original throttle control started to get very noisy. I've purchased a new one, which arrived quickly and was well packed, and now using both of them. For single engine operation I just use the new one, but its fun to use them both for twins. In most twin engine control configurations the setup is typically throttle 1, throttle 2, rpm 1, rpm 2, mix 1, mix 2, the defective slider is rpm2 and the noisiness has no impactAll in all, I think that these originally Saitek products are good value for money, have excellent features and are reasonably well made.I use mine with X-plane 11. The latest version of this allows different control setups with different airplanes thus I can switch from a single engine mode to a twin depending upon which model is loaded.

Well designed, smooth action, highly recommended
5 June 2021

Flexible configuration and smooth throttle levers are highlights of this well made device. You get extra colored throttle ends, so you can set it up however best reflects your needs. The switches are well made and have a solid feel. This works great with Microsoft Flight Simulator, where there is a practical default configuration, so you can fly immediately or reconfigure the commands, as you wish.

Works great with MS Flight Sim 2020

I was anticipating some effort to get this hooked up and working but it was completely plug and play. I'm using it with the Logitech flight stick extreme 3d pro. I was thinking I would map one of the three levers for the flaps but the flaps were automatically mapped to the toggle switch beneath the leftmost lever. The flap buttons on the joy stick still work, but it's much more convenient to have the flaps on the throttle quadrant. I mostly fly the bush planes and the Icon amphibian so I haven't yet used the other two levers. I can imagine they would be very useful for multi-engine airplanes. I should also mention that there are multiple ways you can attach the mounting clamp to the throttle quadrant so it should be adaptable to different desk setups. value for money but could use better quality potentiometers.

Firstly, when you look at the availability of flight simulator quadrants on the market there is nothing in this price range to touch it. The next level would be similar items with six-axis at around $150 and then you go into the plus $200 range, etc. Overall the construction is solid and durable. The mounting system works well to attach it to your typical table, etc. Setting up in your typical flight simulator is easy and the response of the levels is nice, accurate, and smooth. The only downside is that the potentiometers used are pretty cheap and dust, etc. can get on them through the level slots over time. They can be cleaned but the task is pretty involved, so keeping the dust out long term is a good idea. So good I purchased a second one.
