I’m a casual gamer -- my PC is for work during the day and gaming after hours and weekends. Right off, to enjoy the full capabilities and customizations, you’ll want to download and install the “Logitech G Hub software”. This becomes your one-stop-shop for controlling your G device settings -- Lights, DPI, macros, etc. One of the highlights of the G203 is “DPI on-the-fly”, the ability to set DPI points (as many as 5) -- from as low as 200 to as high as 8000 -- that can be quickly cycled at the touch of a button. Some players swear by it, others think it messes with their consistency, but the fact it’s there at all means the choice is up to you -- use it or lose it as fits your style. I personally found it quickly useful for both work and gaming to have 2 on-the-fly settings -- 200 DPI for moments that demand precision, and 1000 DPI for standard operations. After using the G203 for just a few days I find myself naturally toggling the two, as fits the situation, without even thinking about it. Another nice feature of this and other Logitech gaming mice is the ability to program custom macros. In my brief experience this is a bit of an art albeit an immediately useful one once you get the hang of it. A simple example is programming one of the buttons to be a simple left-button toggle. Tap it once and the left-button “holds down” until you tap the button again, useful for times when you might otherwise need to hold the mouse button manually for extended times -- digging, firing, sprinting, crawling, crouching, etc. But more than mouse clicks, your macros can also store and combine keystrokes. A little imagination and practice and you’ll be able to record macros that do predictable complex actions in a single-click. And of course, there’s the lights. One of the reasons we get devices like this is simply the lights, and the environment they help create. This model of the G203 lets you program the arc of light around the back of the mouse in 3 sections -- left, center, and right. You can set them all the same, to a pre-programmed cycle, or even easily setup your own color cycles. And if you have multiple Logitech Lightsync devices you can often “sync” the light settings to the other devices so they are coherent. One note on that -- I have both this G203 mouse and a G512 keyboard, and the mouse is, relatively, much brighter than the keyboard. Generally I found that, to maintain visual continuity, I have to keep the G203 at about 50% relative to the G512. This is not a knock necessarily, it’d just be nice if the LEDs were calibrated across their Lightsync devices for consistency. It’s an extremely minor but, I think, valid observation for a line of devices specifically designed and named for how they “sync” with each other. Bottom line: This is an affordable and flexible gaming-capable mouse, that works for work too, and I’d definitely recommend it.

I've had this mouse for over 2 years now and it hasn't shown a single sign of wear. Because of the way my desk and PC is arranged, the wire on my mouse needed to be placed under a heavy monitor. Even with the 5kg monitor resting on the mouse cord for over a year, it has upheld the same quality as when I bought it. Even the price is great, I picked mine up for between $40 - 50 AUD. This product's only issue is that there aren't enough macros, but I don't often need them on a day to day basis. Overall, this is a long lasting, beautiful, high quality product, and if you prefer wired mice over wireless, this is the best option, hands down.

Overall the G203 is feeling good in hand. Key click and light effect are fine. But there is a big quality flaw: Double click of both left and right switch within only 1 year usage, very annoying. I am a web surfer, and never play game with this mouse. Now, it randomly give me double click while I am just clicking once. I periodically switch between left hand and right hand usage to avoid wear on one side key. Yet, The G203 still failed. It happened around 8~9 months, and became more frequently around 10~11 months. Now I don't even know what the 1 year factory warranty could help or not.

The Logitech G203 is a great entry level gaming mouse. It's responsive with adjustable on-the-fly dpi settings, from 200 up to 8000 dpi. Makes quick and easy work of cycling through the gaming-grade sensor settings with the touch of a button, right behind the scroll wheel. The scroll wheel is a large, rubber coated and has straight edged profile. Not fantastically comfortable, but easily usable due to it's surface area against your finger. It's has defined impressions, steps if you will, when scrolling. It is not free flowing, like the G903SE for example. I've used it on multiple surfaces, and haven't had a issue with motion tracking. There are 6 programmable buttons on this mouse, for simplicity, they are however geared towards a right handed person, as there are two buttons on the left side of the mouse, but not on the right. The button feel is strong and authoritative, slightly hollow, as this is not a weighted mouse, and does not have the option to add weights. I have an RGB Logitech G513 keyboard, and this G203 RGB mouse compliments it really well. The full spectrum LED lighting is customizable using the Logitech G-Hub, a free, downloadable app for Windows or Mac OS, that allows you to adjust the color display on your mouse, to match your game profile (there are preloaded game profiles from other users in the G-Hub software), create your own profiles or use preset profiles by Logitech. You have full customization options, with 16.8 million colors. I did try this mouse out on my Mac as well, and had some issues with the G-Hub software launching, but on my PC, the software is flawless, and works really well. Overall, this is a great, feature packed, entry level gaming mouse that will stand up to the abuse of the gaming world, but is also a comfortable 'every day' mouse for you to use, if you just want to brighten up your desk with a little color.
I brough the G203 2 years ago and it still held up well for a cheap and affordable mouse. Great mouse for casual and hardcore gaming. You can rebind the buttons especially the two side buttons, adjust the dpi mid game plus it's RGB. There have been no problems with the mouse since I got it except for the cable getting in the way but that's what you expect for getting a wireless mouse. TL;DR Great and affordable mouse. Lasts a long time if you treat it fairly well. The buttons are straight forward, robust and practical. Its not uncomfortable to use. You get what you pay for.
The mouse itself seems really good so far. I am coming from an Apple Magic mouse so it is a little different to get used to but for the most part it's been nice, responsive and easy to adapt to for my work. The only gripe I have so far is the software for Mac seems a bit lacklustre OR the mouse's onboard memory doesn't seem to work that well in terms of customisation. Supposedly if you use the onboard memory you don't need to leave the Logitech software open but each time I've closed it, once the computer falls asleep the onboard memory seems to reset my customisations until I reopen the program again.
I’ve always used gaming mice since they were introduced to the market years ago. They were always better than the old style MS mouse with the roller ball “yep I’ve been gaming a long time”. And wanted a better mouse for our AOI but didn’t want to spend a lot for something I don’t game on but wanted something better than the one included with the system. The Logitech G203 is filling the bill on with this one. Unpacking and setting up: The mouse is packed in usual Logitech fashion, with the mouse, instructions and a Logitech logo sticker in the box. The mouse itself if pretty basic. It’s wired so there’s no dongle, and the cable is nice and long, around 7’. The mouse itself if pretty basic. It’s wired so there’s no dongle, and the cable is nice and long, around 7’. I was actually surprised how little this one weighs, there isn’t much weight to it at all so if you like a very light mouse this one will be for you. There are two buttons on the left side and one on top below the scroll wheel used for changing DPI. You can use this mouse without installing the Logitech G Hub software but you won’t have much control over all the functions. I went ahead and installed the software on our AIO unit and proceeded to set it up. With the software you can control the buttons and set them the way you like. The lighting is something unique with this one, the “G” logo and a strip that runs around the shell below the buttons and palm rest area can be configured to whatever lighting you would like. There’s really no limit on colors and you can pick pretty much anything from the rainbow. You can also control how fast / slow some of the effects run and there is a brightness control along with it. Use: This mouse, for the price performs excellently, it’s very accurate and smooth. I’ve set some DPI presets with the control software and all you have to do is press the button below the scroll wheel to cycle through them. For gaming this one seems to be every bit as fast and accurate as any of my other gaming mice and didn’t have a single issue with it. The scroll wheel is a little on the light side for my preference “it’s not weighted like the others I have” and is a little stiffer to roll, “sure that will loosen up over time”. Now if you like a very light mouse you’ll like this one, “I prefer a heavier mouse”, it weighs in at 83g on my scale, while my G604 is 127G and my old G500s is 134g, the G203 is a lot lighter in comparison, only the G Pro is lighter at 79g. Also the shape of it makes it easy to use right or left handed “just the side buttons are on the left and can’t be moved. It’s not contoured for single handed use and is shaped more like the G Pro. Conclusion: If you are budgeting and don’t want to spend a lot on a high end gaming mouse, or just want a very good mouse for everyday use this one will fit the bill. It’s light, very accurate and you can customize the DPI, buttons and lighting any way you like. This would also make a great first time gaming mouse for younger gamers at home.
Pros - Scroll wheel is superb - Durable build quality - RGB is great - Software has lots of lighting effects - Sensor presents smooth movement - Perfect for small to medium sized hands - Feels light for an 85g mouse Cons - None Minor Gripes - My hands just do meet the large hand size requirements so I do wish the mouse were slightly bigger. Not saying it's a small mouse by any means but large hand users may feel the same way, especially palm grip users. I have a claw grip but I do like for a mouse to touch my palm rather than have my palm rest on it if you know what I mean. This mouse just does touch my palm but as I said I wish it were slightly bigger. - I like soft/braided cables so it would have been nice to see this have one. Not a deal breaker at all I just know what happens physically to non-braided cables over time. - Feet are the 4 corner types, which is fine. It's just there are better types of feet out there such as those on Razer mice. Final thoughts: EASILY recommend this mouse at twenty bucks. Especially for small to medium sized hand users.
This mouse is highly underrated. Over the past couple of years, I've owned the G502, G602, Viper Ultimate with Gen 2 switches, Dethadder V2 (gen 1 switches) and dethadder v2 mini , but THIS is the mouse that performs the best for me. Shape is everything, and weight is less important as long as you stay under 90g or so. The shape, size and hump placement of this mouse suits my medium/small sized hands (not so long, but wider than average hands). I tried loving the more expensive alternatives, but hands down my aim in games immediately improves while using this over any of the others. I love this thing so much that I plan on getting the G305 and performing the AAA battery mod to get the weight down significantly. The mouse wheel is rubberized/textured while the roll is "clicky" but can be set to smooth if you like. **Even during this Covid-19 pandemic, this mouse has done a cool thing for my old son during this transition to online schooling - bringing me to my next point. The G203 is more than capable as a mouse including children and adults alike. My 6 yr old son is now more excited to get his online classes done in the mornings during these interesting times for a Kindergartener. He gets to use a COOL mouse that "has colors" and just is thrilled to do "school work". We literally just plugged it in and you get RGB color cycling to brighten things up. The familiar ergonomics combined with modern design and ease of use makes this a serious option for anyone in this competitive budget space.** Now, for the techy stuff like specs. Here are my notable boxes this mouse checked for me: -Beautiful RGB lighting -Ergonomics, aesthetics, and build quality -8000 DPI sensor and 1000Hz polling rate fully customizable in GHUB software -6 remappable/customizable button entry level gaming mouse w/ Long manageable cord -GHUB Mouse Calibration/Customization GHUB Software takes this otherwise basic mouse to the next level. The G203 has fully customizable lighting effects you can add that final touch to. This is easily worth the price with all you get in this one little package. Basically…. this is a buy. Remember, you can always try these things out then if you don't like it BestBuy has a return policy so no need to be worried. Be safe and stay healthy!
