A good wireless mouse for the money.

This is a pretty good wireless mouse. I run it in "performance mode" and I cannot detect any lag relative to wired mice. It is lightweight but not the lightest mouse you can get. The exterior color and finish are high quality. I don't feel the need for rubber grips. Mine is blue and very attractive. Logitech is famous for unreliable buttons. Mine are fine after a couple of weeks.I find that you need to use the enclosed usb extender cable for the wireless usb dongle. When I plugged it directly into my computer several feet away, the cursor jumped all around. The logitech software is still horrible but I was able to turn on on-board memory, put it in performance mode and set the sensitivity. Then I uninstalled the software.

You can also use a smaller battery granted you own a AAA to AA battery adapter, reducing it's weight down to around 80g, making it on-par with any top of the line gaming mice, while remaining wireless thanks to Logitech's LIGHTSPEED technology.Overall i can say that the mouse is the best bang for buck you can get with the most satisfying plug-n-play experience! Hopefully there will be more gaming mice from Logitech to follow such standards, so more people can enjoy gaming without needing to research what they can buy.

I bought the G305 after my G102 started having some double click experience. However, after 2 months of using the mouse, the dongle no longer works.I’ve tried the following:- Connecting to different ports.- Connecting to different computers.- Changing the battery.- Downloading the logitech g hub app.- Updating the firmware.None of those worked.I also bought a protection plan but for some reason, it was cancelled? Therefore, now I have 2 unusable mouses within a span of a year. Unable to return, replace or get a refund!Overall, VERY UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE!

Good Mouse, but a little expensive
12 April 2024

This is a good quality product. I think the price is a little high at $50, I think the price should be closer to $30 which what I paid for mine on sale. It feels good in the hand, nice tactile buttons and I love the thumb buttons, they make browsing and gaming much easier. But The plastic feels a little cheap to me for such a basic mouse at this price point. I bought this mouse as a small portable mouse I could take around with my laptop, but I have a Razer Basilisk Hyperspeed for my desktop at home and it feels to me that mouse is made from better material and is 10 dollars cheaper.Overall, I am happy with my purchase. It is a quality mouse that works well, I just think it costs too much at base price.

Great Wireless Gaming Entry Model

I've previously had the G203 Lightsync gaming mouse from Logitech, and I was absolutely in love with the feel of the mouse. The G305 Lightspeed mouse is essentially the wireless version with an upgraded optical sensor but no rgb lights. The latency difference between wired mice and wireless mice are nearly indistinguishable for the average user. The scroll wheel feels nice to use. The side buttons are decent for the price range. The only negative things I can really say about this mouse is that the primary and secondary button clicks are loud enough that it may annoy classmates, coworkers, etc. The mouse is also a bit small for people who prefer palm grip (should be fine if you use claw or fingertip grip though). The scroll wheel is also made of rubber which can accumulate some dirt. This mouse should last you a good 2 years of heavy use, possibly more. My G203 started to register ghost clicks after that amount of time, specifically with the right click. I play a lot of FPS games so it's likely that's how it started double clicking.Overall though, if you're new to the mouse market (whether it be for gaming, school, or work), this mouse is great for its value.

It's good, 8/10What's good:The performance, it's amazing for a not so premium price. It's on par with wired mice that are even more expensive than this, and even more expensive Logitech mice, like the g502 x. However, the dpi max is 12000, but if that is something that's stopping you from buying this mouse, please review your life choices. The buttons:The buttons feel light and easy to actuate, however, they feel a tad bit hollow, and clacky, which I don't like. The side buttons suck though, so that is something to considerOkay things:The design: it's the classic egg shaped Logitech body they've been using since the g102. The weight by default is 99g, which is terrible by today's standards l, but using some tin foil (which didn't burn the mouse btw) and a AAA battery bought my unit's weight down to 86 grams. The sides are grippy and the build is robust and high quality.Bad things:Software: wow, Logitech ghub sucks so bad, you may need to consider this. The user interface is confusing, but it can get used to. The software by the manufacturer makes a huge difference to the overall user experience.Yeah, that's that, hope you have a good day

Review of LOGITECH G305 Lightspeed Wireless Optical Gaming Mouse
25 June 2024

As far as Branded mice go, this is at the cheaper end. It hasn't failed me in a month of MORPG gaming or general use. It slides beautifully on a mouse-mat. The two side buttons come in very handy for gaming or general use, e.g. while browsing. Battery life isn't going to be a problem and the battery doesn't cause the mouse to be too heavy in the hand. The middle-mouse button is tough enough and better than some on more expensive mice I could mention. The cursor DPI changing button, I suppose is handy. But I always keep it at max lvl, the others are too slow. The only real let-down is it's not BT or aligned to Logitech's Logi Option's + software via a dongle. It has it's own USB dongle OFC :-(

Round 2
19 June 2024

I bought this because the my old one, which the exact same mouse, had difficulty dragging. Basically I'm giving this mouse a second chance. I probably just had a faulty one the first time. Other than that it's a good mouse. It is a bit of a hassle to program the extra buttons because you need to download their software to do so. And then you have to start up the software every time you turn on your computer. Too many steps for me. I don't care about them enough to set that up everytime. I would prefer that it would just be working right off the bat so in the certain events where I do need them, it would just be ready and working. I hated that it didn't come with instructions to explain any of that. You had to Google it and figure it out yourself. Simplistic Design, Good Looks, Somewhat Durable
29 May 2023

Simplistic mouse design with only the essential buttons you need. Sometimes the DPI button sets off when you lift it off the ground and put it down with enough force. This can be disabled with the Logitech program but since I use a Mac, they don't have the program for that OS. This is my 2nd one because the first one ended up breaking because the left click ended up registering 2 clicks even though you do 1 click. It lasted me about 2 years. Just know that I had been gaming with the mouse when I was a PC guy but now I switched to Mac after I stopped gaming. But I love this mouse for its look and simplistic design. As long Logitech keeps producing this, I will keep replacing it. Solid
27 January 2024

Shape isn't for everyone, but should be good enough for most. Mouse is solidly built, no complaints. With an AA battery, it's quite heavy, close to an office mouse. Probably use an AAA to AA adapter if you care a lot about reaction time and speed in gaming. Clicks are extremely light. Allegedly has double click problems, but once the warranty is up you can just get a 3rd party hotswap replacement board and switches for some odd 10-15 bucks. Scroll wheel is fine, a little noisy.Overall a good value mouse if you grab it on sale, I wouldn't pay full price for it.
