Have had the keyboard for just over years.After some time the black on the keycaps started wearing off. Seems like the black is not part of the key cap but a coating on the key caps. For me it was worst on the arrow keys. Good keyboard, Bad keys

Bought it two years ago due to its metal construction. Which has been nice the whole time.However, I'm now on my second replacement board and going to be a third soon here because the poor quality of the keys. First one replaced because lighting stopped working on like 4 keys 6 months in. Now, 4 months into the second one. the 'space' 'comma' and 'period' keys have all become very gummy. And have been on and off like this for the better part of a year. Particularly in the cold. No, its not user caused, I've never spilled anything on it. Its been dusted regularly and I dont play heavy with it. It's an issue with the switches, and likely the grease used for them. I've had 3 different mechanical switch keyboards before this one and I've never had them gum up like this, Other problems sure, But not just spongy, gummy actuation like this.As for the rest of the board experience, The volume scroll is cool and feels good to use. Except whenever you have to reach past your keyboard and easily bump it with your wrist nearly every time without fail and crank the volume up or down. Embarrassingly, I've had more than one instance of me going through a bunch of audio settings and even restarting my computer due to me not realizing that I'd idly bumped the slider earlier and never fixed it. Chalk that up to user error or design flaw.Ghub is bad and unreliable, Has been for a long time now. Dont know if it has been going in a better direction over time but my latest experiences with having to reinstall it entirely to get me to access my keybinds would tell me otherwise.Overall. If this was $100, some of these flaws could be excused. But like all premium products from megacorps. You're paying for first class, just to sit in business with a first class tier hot towelette upgrade.

Great Gaming Keyboard

I am writing this review after 3 months of using the keyboard, and I am really in love with this keyboard. The keys feel very smooth to type. The G Keys on the left can mess with your muscle memory and make you press the wrong keys when you first get the keyboard if you haven't used a keyboard with a similar layout before but you'll get used to it in no time. There are however a few cons that I would like to mention. The G815 has a RGB backlit problem that doesn't light back up when the PC goes to sleep or when the RGB turn off from inactivity but it rarely happens so you may not notice it (so I consider it a minor issue since it happens very rarely). I have to go back to Logitech G Hub software and reapply the RGB settings for it to turn back on. And I forgot to mention that I had a very bad experience with my previous Logitech G512 Carbon Keyboard, over a 23 Blue LEDs died after 2 months on that keyboard and I was reluctant to buy the Logitech G815 but so far with the G815 I haven't had a single Blue LED die on me yet. Other than that this keyboard is awesome.

I’m a big fan of this keyboard. This is my first mechanical keyboard and the buttons have such a satisfying feeling when typing. It’s a little reminiscent of my old school typewriter but without all the fuss of typing too fast and the keys getting caught on each other when hitting the paper. The weight of the keyboard too is again so satisfying. The metal has a nice heft too it without being too heavy. Just enough that you know this thing is durable and well made. The roller bar above the number keypad is an easy way to adjust your volume that I thought was a very nice touch and not something I would think of. I was actually curious of what it was for when I first opened the box and that was a nice surprise. I’m very pleased with this keyboard and will be recommending it to everyone I know looking for a quality mechanical/gaming keyboard or even just looking for rainbow lights because again endless customization!

Not bad, but not the greatest

This keyboard looks very nice with its slim profile and I have taken a liking to slim keyboards without needing a palm rest for comfort. I was previously using a Roccat Vulcan 121 Aimo and I feel like it's a similar feeling in height between where I rest my palms and where my fingers lay on the keys. The keys in this G815 look and feel like they have a way shorter travel distance overall whereas the Vulcan 121 has what looks like full sized key switches.The tactile bump doesn't feel like much of a bump at all on the G815 but it is still present. It's not that bad to type on at all, but I feel like the keys feel more springy than the Vulcan 121. They're a little sensitive to a press, not so much a touch alone, but they also feel like a lighter press on a music launchpad. some may call the button press mushy, but the bounce-back makes them pretty nice for a tap instead of a press.For the gamers that this keyboard is targeted to, there is a Game-Mode button right next to the backlight brightness button which will illuminate when active and disables the Windows keys.If you like Macros, there are 5 dedicated macro buttons to the left edge of the board and there are 3 buttons that quickly switch between macro profiles or layers. There is also a macro recording button allowing you to record macros on the fly.The keyboard isn't the best for career typists in my opinion but serves gamers well with short actuation distances. If you're not a regular typist, it's not great in low light for the lack of shift key illumination.Not bad in my opinion at all with a nice slim profile.

One of the best, mostly

I bought the Logitech G815, with the tactile keys because I cant make the jump from membrane keyboards to linear keys just yet (I tried a Corsair Mk.2 k70 rapid fire linear and the actuation distance was way too low and too sensitive for me, but a great look and feeling keyboard) I do not game a whole lot and am using this keyboard for typing mostly ... The logitech G815 is a great low profile keyboard which is what i like, and i love chiclet style keyboards too. The accuracy with typing is phenomenal and I cant complain. The one aspect of the Logitech tactile keys that should be mentioned is that they are a bit harder to press. I just would have liked to be able to change the on board light profiling to my greatest creation :) without needing to load up GHub everytime. The keys are relatively quiet, as I didnt get clicky, but are still slightly noticeable in quiet rooms... I dont really have any detrimental complaints on the keyboard, as it is a great low profile mechanical keyboard. The lighting profiles on board are a little lacking with the price of the keyboard but I wont downgrade a star as having backlit keys and some on board lighting customization is still great for me.

Really brings the Wow factor

If you don't have a wristpad, you will constantly be hitting the bottom row of keys when you don't mean to. So this happens a lot:You reach over with your left pinky to hit the control key and instead open a new Chrome Window. You find your way back to your post that you have been working on forever and you try to Capitalize the letter A, but because your hands are off, you just hit ctrl-A without realizing it. Now whatever you type erases all your hard work. This happened to me dozens of times before I got a wrist pad and could elevate my hands high enough to avoid hitting the bottom row of keys by accident.A wrist pad is required for anyone who types.The fancy light-up effects are useless for designers or coders though they do have some neat effects. However, when it lights up the keys, it doesn't light up the symbol keys. Trying to remember which symbols go with which keys turns out to be a real hassle. $%(*#&@) You have to remember. It's not like the SHIFT key would change the keys and light up their associated symbols (like it should).Also, the keys come off all the time. Regularly I have to find a key that popped off and is sitting in my desk drawer for some reason.The USB Cables (yes, cables) that power it are pretty big and unwieldy--it's best to set it where you will use it and don't move it.The volume control gimmick is just that, it's a gimmick.Though it comes with Macros, there is no way to reassign keys. So if you are like everyone else on the planet and you never use the CAPS LOCK key, too bad, Every day about 10 times I hear the chimes going off that I have accidentally turned on and then off the caps lock--totally annoying.Also annoying is that if you have a second (or third) keyboard that you use on occasion, you will get the CAPSLOCK message on screen for each keyboard every time you accidentally hit it. There is no excuse other than Logitech's incompetence for not allowing the CAPSLOCK key to be disabled.Overall, it's the best keyboard they make and it's a good thing this is the first round. Hopefully they will invest some time in fixing all of the problems. Ideally, they would release a professional keyboard that had the same keys and less of the pretty lights and fancy, but really dumbed-down, user interface.Also, I had my first one for a week and the Enter Key stopped working. After jumping through hoops for 3 weeks, I finally got them to replace it. Not a good look for a brand new product.

So time will tell. In the meantime, I'm really liking it.
