Good enough for Call Center Use

I use this in a call center using MaxxPointe and Cisco Jabber. This is a far superior replacement for a headset the company provided for us. The headset I was using before had an audio effect like the caller was in a room talking from a few feet away. The Logitech H540 doesn't create that audio effect (probably better magnets used). I like the design concept of the ear covers being a cushion. So far, I do not experience pain or annoyance with prolong usage. The cushion also block some sound making. So if one of my co-workers is trying to talk to me, most times I don't notice right away. I can see what a previous commenter saying about the leather. So far, I like this product overall and for what I'm using it for.

I bought the higher end of the Logitech headphone with mic line of devices because many stores, including MicroCenter, will not accept returns for products like this. I read the reviews before purchasing. Overall, a great set of headphones. The audio quality is great and they are comfortable on my head. Two nits (1) I wear glasses, and the headphones sit on my ear with my glasses. So, my ears hurt after long teleconferences because of the pressure. (2) The headphones tend to slip off my ears if I glance down or up. The material on the ears is somewhat slick. Your mileage may vary. Overall, I am pleased with these headphones, but I will be looking for something a bit smaller and with more friction for my remote office.

This headset unfortunately becomes uncomfortable after just 30 minutes of use, but most budget headsets do so for me. I'm mixed on this headset. The cable is short, stiff and cheap. It will cause those permanent bent angles that will never go away. The volume and mute buttons on the right side of the headset are fine, but I would have preferred if the cable were on the left side of the headset has my work computer is on my left side. The short arm of the mic seems fine but there has been a couple times when a customer stated I was too far away from the mic. The mic quality and the sound quality are both good. Overall it is a fine mic but I just wanted more for the price without shelling out $100+.

Ok for the price
1 September 2022

I bought this because I needed something quick and there wasn't much else to choose from. It does the job but I can't say it's fantastic. Not sure why the chord is on the right as most people are right handed. The wire just gets in the way. I've managed to live with it tucked under the laptop but I can't get the microphone close enough to my face. That being said, no one has complained about not being able to hear me and the noise reduction is pretty decent. I will keep it as a backup. If you are on the phone all day you might consider paying a bit extra for something of a high quality. This was the highest I could go without getting into Bluetooth.

Outstanding Headphones
31 May 2022

I bought the headset because it has a USB connector rather than being wireless; wireless items are subject to malfunctions and loss of dongles - these headphones have no dongle and connect immediately to USB. I don't like the volume control location on the right phone. Also, the speaker system has a volume control and bass control but they don't control the volume of the headsets or change tone. The headphones have great frequency range and you can click the icon in the system tray to change volume. The headphones are not heavy and it is great not having to worry about the neighbors on account of my subwoofer.

Overall pretty good...but the cord drags it down
29 April 2021

Logitech is my first "go-to" for accessories if they sell what I need. I had several of their headsets before this one. Mike has very good sensitivity (learn where the mute button is) and the speakers are plenty loud. Thank goodness it has a small USB plug. My first Logitech headset has a huge plug that stressed the laptop USB port to the point the port doesn't make a solid connection. Like others have said, the plastic has a cheapish feel and the glossiness doesn't help , but I can live with it. The mic boom only goes down on the right side, bummer because my USB port is on my left, but I can live with it. That said, the cord is very thick, as people have mentioned and it retains all the kinks from when it was new...a year ago. It will knock things over and off ... MoreLogitech is my first "go-to" for accessories if they sell what I need. I had several of their headsets before this one. Always twisted up. The only plus about the cord is that it might have a fighting chance if my wife vacuums it up like my last one.

Product Malfunctions in older PowerSpec G420 system
22 August 2022

I had used a cheaper H390 product several times as a cheap goto easily replacable headset. Decided to upgrade to a more expensive headset with noise cancelling and found it has been nothing but issues. Checked logitech website for drivers and microsoft but didnt find any updated drivers. I would gladly return it but the product was labeled that headsets could not be returned. I regret my purchase since I cannot exchange but at least the headset was on the cheaper side compared to a $100 headset.

Sound quality okay, but comfort lacks
23 February 2023

These sound fine for voice, decent for music. The mic picks up way too much ambient sound, and I can hear my own voice through the headphones. The ear pads are really hot, and they put pressure on my eyeglasses to the point of pain after only a minute or two. I have to move my glasses up and out from behind my ears in order to wear the headset. The mute light indicator is a good feature, and I like the controls on the headset, even if they are a little clacky and cheap. I do wish the mic would mute automatically when the mic arm is stowed. The cable is super stiff, and any time it contacts a desk or chair arm the sound is transmitted into the headset and picked up by the mic. I should have bought over-ear rather than on-ear, but this is an okay product for the price.

Works as well as expected, excellent for the price. BUT...
4 December 2022

(Gift from my daughter.) I have seen some complaints about the sound quality for music and games. Hey, this ain't a $300 earphone I'm certainly enjoying it enough for music and I discovered that it can deliver higher frequency than I can here. (My son could hear it.) One great feature was an orange light on the cable that indicated when I am on mute, since I do use Google Voice a lot. That stopped working withing weeks after I got it. This is my only complaint about this headset.

I bought this when my last headset stopped working suddenly, (4 year old Microsoft headset). I work from home and do phone customer support so the headset is a vital piece of equipment for me. Firstly the sound is great and don't get too many complaints about the caller not hearing me. When I do it's most likely the vpn or phone software. My first of two complaints about the headset is that with the wire coming from the right ear doesn't suit me well since my computer is on the left an the weight of the wire pulls it off my head if I lean forward. 2nd is that the red light on the wire that indicates the mute button is pressed suddenly stopped after about a month of use, this making it hard to know it's muted until someone cannot hear me. Frankly i'd like the wire to be a little lighter weight, the volume/mute control on the wire rather then the ear piece and the ear piece to have more of a cup rather then flat.
