An excellent mouse

What attracted me to this mouse was it's ability to switch between two systems and work with either the unifying adapter and/or bluetooth. I'm currently using it with two chromebooks using the bluetooth connection. Compared to M325's on other systems it is every bit as smooth and responsive. I highly recommend it.It might not be obvious, but this M590 model is the same as the M585. You can verify this by downloading the user manual. For some reason it isn't as easy to find the M590 model, so finding it here on Staples and being lucky enough to catch it on sale made my day.

I usually use the Mx Anywhere mice and just purchased the new Mx Anywhere 3. Sometimes the mouse click sounds bother me after a while if I’m doing anything click-intensive so I bought this one to try due to the silent click design. I figured I’d probably end up not liking it since it doesn’t have hyper scrolling and it’s not rechargeable. I was wrong. I absolutely love this mouse and hardly touch my brand new Anywhere mouse now. I’ve only had it for about 2 weeks so I can’t speak to its longevity but everything else about the mouse has been great so far. Do yourself a favor and buy this mouse! The buttons are not truly silent, but are nicely muted -- probably half the noise of a typical mouse. Device switching works well and is quite fast, maybe half a second to switch devices. What I love most about this mouse is that it strikes a great balance between features and simplicity. It's not overly huge and complex to hold, the design is clean, there's very little friction to move it (mine is on an unpolished, natural wood desktop) yet the multi device support, silent buttons, left/right scroll wheel, etc makes it really well featured. You would expect the mouse to be a contraption of plastic and curves that engulfs your hand for everything it does. Freezes for 3 seconds after setting it down
10 May 2023

Overall a great mouse, with one really annoying exception...Give this mouse a little bump, and it goes dead for 3 seconds. This happens surprisingly often. For example: Whenever the mouse hits the edge of my mouse pad, and I pick it up and then put it back down in the center of my mouse pad.

Logitech does it again
25 October 2022

Having used Logitech mice for more years than I care to remember, it was a pleasant surprise to see they had a bluetooth one for a mini laptop. This mouse fits my hand perfectly and is wonderful to work with. It connected with a minute with Win10 drivers and has performed beautifully. We've ordered two more for other computers in the household.

M590 Silent with Flow works great with K380!

In comparison, the M720 Triathlon felt a bit too big in my hand, while the MX Master 2S is way too big for me. I have used the M705 Marathon Mouse for many years and it has been by far my favorite Mouse of all time. But I now needed a Multi-Device Mouse and this M590 is just a bit smaller than the M705 Marathon, so the M590 is just about the perfect size. If they contoured the right side of the M590 and made the material more grippy and added support for a third BT device, it would be perfect in my opinion. The quiet clicks are an added bonus. The M590 Mouse paired easily with all Bluetooth Devices I attempted to connect it to, and it has functioned exactly as expected without fail.I would have bought the MX Anywhere 2S, but I use the middle scroll wheel button constantly to Orbit in Revit, and since the MX Anywhere 2S moved the middle button away from the scroll wheel, it makes the MX Anywhere 2S useless for me, which is a shame since it pairs with 3 devices and felt a bit better in my hand than the M590.Overall, I am very happy with my purchase of both the Logitech M590 and K380, as I think they work very nicely together and are both ultra-portable for on the go readiness. I would highly recommend this product.

Nice and quiet
14 January 2020

Nice, quiet mouse at a great price. It's on the smaller size, just what I needed for carrying in the computer bag. I have long fingers, but not necessarily large hands, and this fits perfectly for me. The scroll wheel is nice and smooth (and also quiet). You can feel some tactile "knurling" when you scroll, so it's not baby's-butt-smooth, but it's not like scrolling over a circular-saw blade either.Using the USB dongle, the mouse is very responsive. The Bluetooth connection seemed a little laggy to me. No stars off unless it does the same when I test it on another PC.I do not intend to install the Logitech Options software so I cannot speak to the usefulness of Flow or reassigning buttons.Pros- USB and Bluetooth connectivity- Can use with up to two ... MoreNice, quiet mouse at a great price. Eight if you include the PC selector button.- Very quiet left/right click buttons- Nearly quiet center click and back/forward buttons- Uses one AA battery (preferred over non-replaceable battery)- Battery life advertised at 2 years.- Has an on/off switch on the bottomCons- Possible laggy response using Bluetooth. I need to test on another PC to be sure.Other consideration:- The USB dongle storage is behind the battery door. If you frequently remove the dongle from the PC, this might be a concern for you (it's not a problem for me).

Pretty good, if not ideal
2 March 2021

I had had a tiny optical mouse that came as part of a mouse/keyboard combo. It worked & still does in a pinch, but I wanted wireless, the option for Bluetooth & switchability between devices, all with modern support (not good but in danger of phasing out support for devices such as the 10-year-old m525). This one delivers, quietly (much more quietly than the keyboard). My only concern is that the Logitech software is mostly unnecessary (except for switching live between devices; switching profile by mouse button is unaffected except that you need the Logitech software to correct any “device 1” vs “device 2” mistakes), is unavailable on Linux, and looks alternately bloated & set up to track the user across Windows & macOS. So after fixing mistakes, I uninstalled it; native drivers in all OSes work for all buttons with the USB, and it just takes a bit of tinkering (especially in Linux, big surprise) to get all functions to work over Bluetooth. USB is best for bootup & BIOS access.

Works great as expected!
10 December 2019

I like this mouse. I also considered the Logitech Anywhere MX 2s, which was a bit more. In the end, this one was the winner. Here's why:1. It's definitely quiet – not 100% silent. And note that the scrolling isn't a bit louder than the clicking. Still, it's nice how subtle the sound is when using it.2. It's not as fancy as some of the others, but still has horizontal scroll and supports up to two devices. I think the custom buttons on a mouse would only be useful if you're doing very specialized work like audio/visual/video editing and need the shortcuts.3. Although it isn't rechargeable, it only needs 1 AA battery – and supposedly, these last up to 24 months before needing a new one. Plus, I recycle my batteries anyway.Overall, another quality Logitech product!

this is a wonderful mouse. reviews of dropped connection and occasional power downs are not what i experience. quiet. quiet. no click sounds. if that is what you want then don't delay, Logi has this scheduled this mouse for archive. maybe there is something better coming but i haven't found/seen it. if there is then it will have to be one sweet machine to be better than this model.
