Having the option to customize buttons via the app is a great feature. An example of this: I use cut and paste a lot, it's more convenient to do it from the mouse. You can also switch from line-by-line precision scrolling via wheel to fast scrolling (something I use for large spread sheets) also the fact that this mouse is much quieter than last one when it comes to click noise thanks to Logitech SilentTouch technology. There's no plug-in for rechargeable battery here, It runs on a regular single AA battery that comes with the mouse and has a 2 year life span. The sides have a nice soft touch textured finish and is very grippy, the top area is a satin hard plastic, very smooth and feels great in hand “I prefer this over the Anywhere MX glossy finish”. The battery door is on the underside, it’s easy to remove and only uses a single AA battery, and next to the battery is a slot for the wireless dongle.Use:After installing the Logi Options software and plugging in the dongle the mouse was instantly available “after turning it on first”. The software allows you to assign different functions to the buttons and tracking speed. The mouse also supports Bluetooth but I’m going ahead and using the dongle as I’ve always preferred the performance with it over Bluetooth.I really like the wheel, their new “SmartWheel” works great, this is where instead of clicking a button or pressing the mouse wheel to engage free spin you just flick the wheel and it acts like it’s spinning freely so you can scroll up/down quickly, then when scrolling normally it scrolls slowly, I never used the free wheel option as I didn’t like having to press a button/wheel to engage it.Logitech says this has a silent click, and they aren’t kidding, there’s no click noise at all, just a nice tactile click to it, but the side buttons definitely have an audible click to them along with a good stout tactile click. Not sure why they didn’t make the side keys silent but it takes nothing away from the mouse quality and functionality wise. I’ve tried the mouse on different surfaces to see how it responds and so far it works great on pretty much anything, just a glossy white ceramic tile gave it some problems but it works fine on any mouse pad or mousing surface I have. Conclusion:I really like this mouse it’s small, comfortable “for the size”, and easily fits into my laptop bag. They state the battery can last up to two years “wow” and I guess it will be a long time till I have to replace them. The batteries in the Anywhere MX lasted a month or so and I go through a lot of batteries with that one, this one should help save some money if the batteries do last that long. So if you are looking for a new mouse and want to be able to pick your size and even L/R handiness, a mouse that works great for everyday use and won’t burn through batteries then the new M650 line is one you really want to take a look at.

Good mouse but might recommend the large option

It wasn't as bulky omin the back and has more of the typical mouse shape I was used to. I have large hands and they had an L version for long right next to it but this was actually going to be mostly used by a female family member with smaller hands so I bought this normal M medium size. It seems like it feels a bit small to her as well, so I think the large option which was the same price will be preferable. What's nice though in the package they have it shaped around the mouse so in the store you can basically test and feel your self which is better. But no complaints I just might label this ad S and the large as medium. Idk. I feel the large fits nice in both our hands so maybe it is labeled OK. I just imagine a special edition version labeled large would be more for Shags hand rather than fit both a 6 foor male and 5'2 female. But I mean it doesn't work out better in this case for me. I just think maybe the large should be the universal size with the Medium as the side option but with having plenty of both is not really an issue.

It really is whisper quiet
22 January 2022

Logitech makes a name for itself with high quality, dependable peripherals, and I am a big fan of what they produce. This mouse is no exception. Don’t let the low-price fool you, it is impressively built and works better than I anticipated with already high expectations given my experience with the brand. It is advertised as having quiet clicks, and that is something I did not anticipate would make any difference to me, but it really does. There is almost no noise whatsoever from this mouse. I doubted it would be as silent as it is, and I am very impressed. The buttons all work perfectly with just the right amount of tactile feedback, and the scroll wheel has a nifty auto shift feature that helps it go from slow to quick scrolling depending on how much force you ... MoreLogitech makes a name for itself with high quality, dependable peripherals, and I am a big fan of what they produce. I have large hands and was worried this small mouse that I wanted to use on the go with my laptop would be too small making it uncomfortable, and thankfully it has just the right shape to make it comfortable for me. It also works shockingly well tracking on many different surfaces, such as my smooth desktop and leatherette covering, countertop, kitchen table, and more. I am using it with Bluetooth and have not ever noticed any lag or disconnects, and it includes Logitech’s unifying USB receiver so you can use it with that on a computer with no Bluetooth or simply if you want to avoid Bluetooth. It is advertised as having significant battery life from the single included AA, but there is no way at this point for me to know if that claim will be accurate. It does have an off switch on the bottom which is perfect for putting it in a laptop bag and keeping it from taking inputs. If you want a small, inexpensive, portable mouse that will work with just about any computer, have ultra-long battery life, and be extremely quiet and comfortable to use, this is the one. I highly recommend it.

Logitech - Signature M650 L Full-Size Wireless
9 February 2023

I was looking for a large mouse as my old big Logitech mouse died after many years of use. I wanted to stick with this brand because I was very happy with my old one. To the same time my little HP mouse at the laptop gave up, too.The M650 L mouse is slightly larger (fuller in the area between your thumb and your pinky) than the Logitech - Signature M650, which I also purchased for my laptop, therefore I can compare the sizes pretty good and it took me a moment to see the difference. The area for your fingers you do left and right clicks feels a little fuller as well. There actually is no difference in the height though.I very much like the silent click option of the The M650 L Full-size but I have not used any of the special settings.I also like the slick bottom ... MoreI was looking for a large mouse as my old big Logitech mouse died after many years of use. Good thing the laptop screen is way smaller than my 2 larger screens from the PC.I am very happy with this purchase and would buy this mouse again despite the higher price.

Also, if I am in Word, the two Back/Forward buttons act as an Undo Typing/Repeat Typing button (Ctrl+Z, Ctrl+Y).3.Also, the standard Microsoft pop up menu that normally comes up with the mouse right button click seems to pop up randomly without me pressing any buttons.4.Also, when I try to test the Back/Forward buttons while troubleshooting with Logitech, the buttons disable the chat session, and by the time I am able to view the chat window, the agent has terminated the chat session.5.I have already spent many hours trying to make this work with Logitech Chat and Email support.6.I uninstalled Options +, and reverted back to my old Logitech M545 mouse, and returned the M650.7.Overall, I can’t afford to spend weeks troubleshooting these issues. I am shocked that this process is so much more difficult to implement that the installation of my M545 mouse was.

Perfect mouse with one minor annoyance...
14 July 2022

Not one to bury the lede: the annoyance is that the mouse does not truly support multiple devices, but it still gets five stars from me.While it is _capable_ of connecting to two devices, one via the dongle and one via bluetooth, it is utterly incapable of switching between them. There is obviously no need for additional steps if using the dongle. It is possible to press and hold the connect button to instead connect via bluetooth.Pressing the connect button again gets you back to the dongle. But that's it! pressing again stays with the dongle, as far as I can figure out, you must re-pair via bluetooth if you want to use it with the non-dongled device. For my use case however, it has been absolutely fine. I keep the dongle contained in the mouse and do not use it at all, instead pairing with my work laptop via bluetooth, and I do not switch devices.Everything else about this mouse is absolutely exactly perfect. The small size is great for travel (though you can get larger, and left handed mice if you like), much lighter than the MX Master I was carrying around (which does have true multi device connectivity). The clicks are far quieter, which is tremendous for zoom calls when I am multitasking and don't want the other party to know I'm distracted. The battery life I can't attest to yet, but being able to swap out a battery and be at full charge again rather than keeping a charging cable with me just in case is a huge plus as well.If you don't need to swap between multiple devices, and you want:Silent clicks, small light form factor, no worry about charging, no need for dongles with bluetooth (or must use a dongle if you dont have bluetooth!), high end fit and finish, I would absolutely recommend this mouse.

Quality, QUIET Mouse From A Reputable Brand
12 February 2023

I don't use a mouse often, the touchpad usually suffices for most work/play that I do on my computer, but I like to have a small one handy. I don't look for anything fancy, the last mouse I was using was the cheapest mouse that HP had available when I bought my last computer (I think it was $14.99). I decided to get a new mouse when I bought a new Lenovo laptop for a few reasons. The primary reason was the lack of side buttons under the thumb to easily navigate forward and backward. The other aggravations were with poor wireless range and what I felt was an unnecessarily loud button "click." I felt like I was going to wake up my neighbors it was so loud, so the mention of the quiet click on this mouse was definitely a big selling point. Now that I've used it a few ... MoreI don't use a mouse often, the touchpad usually suffices for most work/play that I do on my computer, but I like to have a small one handy. The other aggravations were with poor wireless range and what I felt was an unnecessarily loud button "click." I felt like I was going to wake up my neighbors it was so loud, so the mention of the quiet click on this mouse was definitely a big selling point. Now that I've used it a few weeks, I am overall pretty happy with it. It has strong, steady wireless connectivity with good range on both Bluetooth and the USB receiver. The installation was quick and easy. After the initial driver installation, a popup appeared with the option to download optional Logitech Connect+ software where you can configure button options and customize the functionality beyond what settings are available in Windows. The buttons are (well, the main two) are VERY quiet! They're so quiet that sometimes you wonder if you actually pressed it or not in the second or two before the computer response happens. There are just a few minor issues that I've found that keep it from getting 5 stars. The first is while the main buttons are extremely quiet, the side buttons under the thumb are not. They're regular, standard clicking buttons and while they aren't overly loud, they're definitely not as quiet as the others. Seems like a bit of an oversight to not make all the buttons have a similar engagement and quietness, especially if you're using it as a selling point. Also, I feel like the side buttons sit a bit too far toward the rear and don't rest under the thumb where they can be pressed easily. Also, while this mouse comes in many options and the small version is only slightly longer than my old mouse, it's still a slight bit longer than I expected. It fits my hand well and has good grip with textured sides and tacky top surface and it doesn't feel big, but I guess to have two sizes of a product, I expected this one to be slightly more compact.Overall it's a good mouse from a brand with a good reputation for reliable computer accessories and I'm happy with my purchase. It fit exactly what I was looking for and the issues I have with it are rather trivial and don't keep me awake at night by any means. It's a really good product and I'd definitely buy it again!

Quiet and comfortable

## DesignAlthough this particular mouse is labeled as “Large - for large-sized hands”, it seems like a “regular” sized mouse to me. Many wireless mice are too compact and uncomfortable for me to use as a permanent fixture on my desk. Therefore, I was happy to find that this supposedly “large” mouse is the same size as the Logitech M190 (which does not have a “large” designation). The scroll wheel is also fairly quiet and smooth to use.You can download software to customize the side buttons, but I found that the basic functions of the mouse work without the software, and, by default, the side buttons work as forward and back buttons while browsing through web pages. Since I’m fine with this functionality, I didn’t load the software. The wireless signal works fine and I've had no issues with skipping or lag when it is plugged in directly to my laptop, but depending on your computer, you may find that your WiFi or Bluetooth chipset is too close to the USB port. In that case, I've found that using a USB 2.0 extension cord solves any issues caused by interference from internal wireless chips and USB 3.0 ports. So if you run into trouble with the mouse pointer jumping across the screen or hesitating, try using a USB 2.0 (note the “2”) extension cord with the nano receiver. You can find them fairly cheap online. The mouse can also connect via Bluetooth if your laptop has Bluetooth built-in and you don’t want to lose a USB port to the nano receiver. Also worth noting that the included nano receiver is USB-A. If your laptop only has USB-C ports, you’ll either need to use Bluetooth or a USB-C to USB-A adapter.## Battery LifeLogitech claims that this mouse can last up to 2 years on a single AA battery, which is included! I have yet to use the mouse that long, but I like the fact that it only requires one AA battery as this keeps the mouse lightweight and it glides easily across my desktop. Logitech notes that Bluetooth somewhat shortens battery life from 24 months down to 20.## SummaryOverall, the M650 L (for “Large”, not to be confused with the left-hand version) is full-sized and comfortable to use as your everyday mouse. The mouse buttons are very quiet and would be ideal for late-night clicking.

great mouse, but not really for large hands
20 January 2022

I’ll start off by saying that the Logitech M650L wireless mouse is a very nice mouse. I have used many dozens of mice, wireless and wired, over the decades going all the way back to the original Microsoft serial “ball” mouse. The M650L is comfortable to hold and use with a pleasant, quieter “click” feel than the more typical mouse, one of its advertised features. The mouse is pretty much symmetrical, making it suitable for lefties as well as righties. There are two programmable buttons on the left side that are meant to be pressed by your thumb that are not matched on the right side, so the mouse would take a little getting used to by a left-handed person who would need to push those two buttons most likely with the pinky finger.Another advertised feature of this ... MoreI’ll start off by saying that the Logitech M650L wireless mouse is a very nice mouse. There are two programmable buttons on the left side that are meant to be pressed by your thumb that are not matched on the right side, so the mouse would take a little getting used to by a left-handed person who would need to push those two buttons most likely with the pinky finger.Another advertised feature of this mouse is that it is for “large-sized hands,” and it says this right on the package. But I have compared this mouse to the mouse I had been using, a wired mouse from a different manufacturer, and to another wireless mouse, a Logitech M705, which I keep in my laptop carry case for use when I’m using that computer. Neither of these mice are advertised as being for large hands, and yet both are larger than the M650L. In particular, the M705 is more comfortable because it is wider by about a quarter of an inch than my wired mouse or the M650L. It’s width that matters, not so much height or length, if a mouse is going to be comfortable to hold by a large-handed person. As far as other dimensions, my wired mouse is 1/4-inch longer and 1/8-inch taller than the M650L, so by no means would I consider this a mouse specifically designed for large hands. It is a conventionally-sized, comfortable-to-hold mouse.A feature of the M650L that I really like and that I’ve not encountered in a wireless mouse before now is that it can connect via bluetooth. All wireless mice I’ve used before now, including the M705, use a USB dongle to communicate with the computer. The bluetooth is so convenient that I had merely to insert the battery in the new M650L and, automatically, and without me doing anything, my desktop computer, which has bluetooth capability, found and connected to the mouse. I was using the mouse within seconds of opening the package.Other features of this mouse include, like many mice today, programmable buttons that you can control by downloading and installing software from the manufacturer’s website. I did this with no problems, although I must admit that I’m not traditionally a mouse-button programmer and am content to use mice the way the have most traditionally been used, with left-click and right-click buttons and a scroll wheel. As I said at the outset, this is a very nice mouse, and I can see it serving me well for a long time to come.
