It's very quiet the day you pull it from the box, but whatever makes it quiet will wear out somewhat over the first 6-months of ownership. It's still quiet, but noticeably louder than when new. I currently have a brand new one and one that is 8 months old that has been under heavy use. My mouse started to fail at the 8-month mark. The left button started to require about 3x the input of normal, whereas the right button continued to function correctly. Logitech replaced both the mouse and keyboard under warranty, which is awesome. The battery life assertions on this product are not accurate under heavy usage. As a programmer, I use them a lot more than the average household user and I do not turn off the keyboard and mouse to conserve power at the end of the day (always on).The keyboard's quietness is great and it has a good solid feel on the desktop (not too heavy, not to light and stays put). There may be the slightest lag in responsiveness between the keyboard and receiver, but it's not problematic and something you can probably adapt to (if you even notice).I would recommend this product, especially at the price point. Would rate it 4.5 stars if that was an option.

This keyboard and mouse combo absolutely delivers on its promise of smooth AND silent operation. The keys have a very satisfying detent/rebound - not really a 'click' and not entirely a 'bounce', but a perfect mechanical compliment to every keystroke. The mouse buttons match the keyboard's response for a seamless, unified feel. I also prefer Logitech's mouse profile as it stays gently but firmly under control within my grip. A no-frills compliment of shortcut keys plus a full number pad round out this dynamic duo. Perfect, best-in-show combo at the perfect price point.

Great for about a year
19 April 2023

Sufficient durability (no broken or loose keys) however, after a year of frequent use (typing papers in University, the keys really aren't that silent anymore. The contrast in volume between keys such as the space bar vs keys I never use (the function keys for example) is quite noticeable. The key travel is great, but now I just have a clunky keyboard, as the resistance is still there, but the noise dampening has worn out. It's really about a 2.5 star keyboard, but not a 3 star. First, the keybaord offers great shortcut keys along the top. Second, the mouse is still quiet (although it's just recently started scrolling down when I scroll up, could be a dying battery) and considering the price point of the keyboard. Finally, I can't say I was completely surprised ... MoreSufficient durability (no broken or loose keys) however, after a year of frequent use (typing papers in University, the keys really aren't that silent anymore. Finally, I can't say I was completely surprised that the silence only lasted a year. If you need a keyboard to use outside the office on occasion (or any other job that does not require prolonged, daily use) this could do the trick, especially if on sale. However, if you're looking for a longer lasting keyboard, I would suggest other keyboards, as there's other keyboards that produce the same noise, but have a smoother typing experience. My thinkpad keyboard is probably my favourite at this time.

Great value, works well for the price
9 March 2023

I bought this item to allow me to change my working from home set-up and prop my laptop up higher, and to remedy the fact that some of my laptop keys are getting a bit sticky. The bluetooth keyboard seemed like the right choice and I've not been disappointed. The silent touch keys are a great feature, and its great to have the wireless mouse too (it operates from the same bluetooth dongle). On the negative side, I'd say that the mouse button feels a little fragile, I'm not sure how that will bear up after a hundred thousand clicks! And be careful when you unpackage the item, the bluetooth dongle is packaged in the cardboard flap on the box and I suspect could easily be thrown in the recycling box if you didn't know to look out for it. Keyboard & Mouse " have a mind of their own"
6 April 2023

Best function - when working "properly" are the soft and silent keys. Otherwise, not totally delighted with the equipment. Bought to replace an older model of Logitech, so familiar with layout and working etc. However, there was no instruction booklet or anything else with the box. Ideally, shouldn't be necessary .... but MK295 must have an upgrade of sorts with this model, as it appears to have a time-out set up, as all to frequently the keyboard freezes and completely "refuses to work "..... and is "dead". The moral to this message is " don`t go to make a coffee, as when you come back the keyboard & mouse don`t want to work or talk to one another!" A mega level of patience is required.

Ive already got an Apple keyboard and screen flap but to increase the knock protection of the corners of by iPad pro got hold of the logitech combo touch. Good points. 1. good fitting case. 2. has touch pad missing on my apple keyboard 3. good key action. Bad points. 1. cant think of a bad point so far. Conclusion. Better protection than apple equivalent. Addition of touch pad makes the iPod more like my MacBook, although I do use the screen for a lot of scrolling etc. but the touch pad comes into its own if you want to keep the screen clean.

Love Logitech!

I love the feel of the keys versus the ones on my laptops. So easy to switch from one laptop to another and you get the added benefit of not wearing out the laptop keys and not getting them dirty.Easy to clean the keyboard and mouse right up and I really hate sitting down to use someone else's laptop or keyboard and feeling dirty keys. I have to give mine a quick wipe every morning before I start working. My late husband was bad about keeping his cleaned so I about once a week I would go in and wipe his down.If you're really picky about how your keyboard feels to you when typing and if you're worried about speed and all of that, I highly recommend this keyboard.I type, a lot and I've always been very picky. In just a short time, you'll get used to the feel ... MoreI love the feel of the keys versus the ones on my laptops. So easy to switch from one laptop to another and you get the added benefit of not wearing out the laptop keys and not getting them dirty.Easy to clean the keyboard and mouse right up and I really hate sitting down to use someone else's laptop or keyboard and feeling dirty keys. They hold up so well and I've never bought one that I didn't like.

So reliable! So quiet!
28 September 2022

I'm a very fast typer, and I tend to hit the keys a bit hard, and I've been getting some complaints from folks that I'm on calls with (and from my wife) that it was time to do something about the noise. I was a bit nervous about purchasing this without being able to test it out in person. I was also a bit nervous about the reliability of a wireless keyboard, but I took a gamble which definitely paid off.The first time I used it after easily connecting it to my computer, my wife asked "Why do noisy keyboards exist?!" She has a point. There is a bit of noise, simply because the fingers are hitting the keys, but the sound level is next to nothing. And I haven't had any issues with keys sticking or characters repeating, which has happened with some bluetooth keyboards ... MoreI'm a very fast typer, and I tend to hit the keys a bit hard, and I've been getting some complaints from folks that I'm on calls with (and from my wife) that it was time to do something about the noise. Value-priced name-brand keyboard/mouse combo
30 June 2023

I've used Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse combos before, and prefer full-size keyboards with typewriter-like keys, as that was what I learned to type on in pre-computer days. However, I had never before used such a quiet keyboard. I do still feel the click of each keypress, which helps prevent miskeys and unintentional multiples of the same character. The quieter clicks allow me to more easily hear the telephone ringing, or the boss calling from across the office. The mouse is a little smaller than I'm used to, but reasonably comfortable, and certainly more comfortable than the oversized "ergonomic" mouse I was using before this set arrived. This would have been an even better set had it come with Logitech's Unifying USB dongle, but for the price, I can deal with ... MoreI've used Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse combos before, and prefer full-size keyboards with typewriter-like keys, as that was what I learned to type on in pre-computer days.
