I don't know how many KBD/mouse combo kits I've been through over the years, but this is the nicest one I've owned.Lovely keyboard. Nice mouse. (I did buy this kit elsewhere though, it was much cheaper - comon' PB Tech :) ).I've also purchased a number of these for biz clients - and like they say in the description - the writing doesn't wear off! (1.5 years and counting - heavy daily use).Nice programmable keys too via the supporting software - but who uses that stuff! :)Cheers.

The reason I bought this wireless keyboard and mouse kit is the single USB dongle for both keyboard and mouse. It frees up one of my USB port on the computer. Plus the long battery life as declared (24 month for mouse and 36 month on key board). I have an early version of Logitech Anywhere Mx mouse whose battery life is about 3 to 4 months. So 36 month sounds very good to me. The mouse works okay for this price range. However, the keyboard quality is very ordinary as the keys are a bit stiff and the key pressing does not give a very smooth feeling. As a comparison, the keys of CoolerMaster Devastator 3 keyboard are much better on typing.

Easy to install, plug and play.Keys seem fairly robust, with good feedback.Mouse design is comfortable to use, although the "back and forward" buttons on the side are a bit pointless, for my use anyway.Biggest gripe is that both units seem to lose connection with the receiver intermittently, despite the pc being less than 500mm away, and the receiver in plain sight. Still working through that issue. The result is cursor "freeze" and the occasional "stuck keyyyyyyyyyy" (example only). All un all good equipment, provided i can sort the connectivity issues.

I did my own research and chose this keyboard. JB team person was no help at all and had no input, suggestions or heartfelt desire to assist me at all. No keyboard on show for me to gauge whether it was the "right" key feel so I hoped I had chosen well. I did. Was so simple to plug in and was recognised by my computer straight away. No concerns to worry. Actual key feel and rest pad is a little rough/matt and textured as opposed to having a smooth glassy mirror feel which I would have preferred. Mouse is perfect size, feel in hand and shape. Team member at service counter was bright, professional and polite.
The 'plug n play' is immediate - recognised before I even logged on. Battery life is great with an intuitive auto-off as soon as the units aren't being used. The mouse is great - very ergonomic, grippy rubber sides with clever up/back buttons on the side for browsing pages (if you want to use them - they don't get in the way). Mouse has some real 'downweight' to it, which I like. Not thrilled with the keyboard though. The keys are chunky and quite noisy. I am fast and accurate typer, but I feel like my fingers stumble over the keys a fair bit because you have to press down 4-5mm and then your fingers can't glide across to another key as easy compared with some MS and HP keyboards where the keys only go down 1mm or so.
Bought this a few weeks back and have to say my biggest disappointment is the keyboard. It has so much resistance when typing, making it really easy to not press down hard enough on a key and miss it. Has brought up both my keying error rates and frustration. If this was mentioned on previous online reviews, I completely missed it and boy was it a big miss. I will say its size and weight are on the bigger/heavier side and that's good for me as it does not move around much. However, that does not make up for the really poor typing experience. The mouse is okay, I use it with one battery rather than both to not feel as heavy. Its really not the most comfortable size for my hand, prefer wider mice where my whole hand fits on it and my pinky isn't dragging on the table ... The customisation is pretty good on the software but overall feeling quite a drop in quality from Logitech (or Logi as they unfortunately brand themselves now - my friend who is a long-time Logitech user thought it was a rip-off brand) and am very let down. I also really wish retailers like JB would find a way to put keyboards and mice back on display so we can actually test them first before buying.
