A Functional and Productive Combo

I used this wireless keyboard and mouse combo to clean up my desk and reduce the number of wires and am very pleased with the results. Here's why:First, the functionality and build of the product is great. The keyboard is sturdy, the keys are just the right amount of clicky, and the extra functionality of the keyboard and mouse are very nice. I would estimate that I can be at least 10% more productive on this keyboard than using my laptop keyboard. And by hooking up this separate keyboard I was able to lift my laptop and monitor off of the desk with an arm so that my desk is freed of all devices and wires.Second, the connectivity is great. I had heard that using Bluetooth to connect keyboards and mice caused a lag that made them nearly unusable and was worried I'd have to plug in the dongle to the USB port. However, I was very pleased to see that these devices paired almost instantly via Bluetooth and I don't notice any lag whatsoever.Third, the battery life is much better than other devices I've used. For example, I was using a gaming mouse and if I unplugged the USB-C connector it would go dead in about a day. I have been using this keyboard and mouse for over a week and have only lost a couple percent on the battery level of each. And finally, the little things that make this combo nice are things like the smart illumination that only lights up the keys based on the environment, which is also customizable in the app. Also, the app can assign special functions and tasks to both the keyboard and the mouse. And they can be used across multiple devices. Two simple things I like that not all keyboards have is a volume control and number pad.Overall, I am very pleased with this combo and couldn't think of anything that would make it better.

For my current working setup, there would be downtime if I suddenly needed AA batteries and had none in the house. So...not a fault, but a caveat. The keyboard is solid and heavy. The keystrokes feel more like laptop keystrokes than what I consider to be standard keyboard keystrokes. But on this keyboard, the keystrokes are extremely fluid and noticeably more quiet than any keyboard I have ever used. So this keyboard is immediately comfortable to use and the noise reduction would be welcome to nearby coworkers (I am VERY heavy-handed).These can be connected to devices by Bluetooth or by the included "logi bolt" (dongle receiver). You can switch between three devices simply after some initial intuitive setup. It is interesting that Logitech is emphasizing these as input devices for phones (I am not phone-centered for any long form input but I understand how these could be very useful for people who live and die by their phone). But it's this new mouse that makes this combo an incredible business investment. I have been using Logitech's M720 Triathlon for a long time now and have loved it. The new Logitech MX Master 3S here makes my beloved older mouse seem almost quaint. The left and right mouse buttons are ultra-quiet here and the scroll wheel transitions beautifully between very tactile single line movement and lightening-fast scrolling with a spin (Logitech claims you can scroll 1000 lines per second - I can't verify that figure but the scrolling is absurdly fast). But there are two additional features of this mouse that make it business savvy. The MX Master 3S has a (programmable) thumb wheel whose default programming is for horizontal scrolling - anyone who has ever navigated a mammoth spreadsheet should immediately understand the utility of this feature. And the thumb "rest" is also a button that you can press to bring up all of your open applications (very smart). Logitech has chosen excellent defaults for the buttons which can be changed within specific applications using their software - astounding! As advertised, the mouse is extremely responsive on all surfaces, even slick or shiny surfaces.I have only two odd gripes with this system. There is a wrist rest included with the combo that I would normally welcome, but this one is thin to the point of being worthless. And the tiny USB "logi bolt" receiver can't be stored in either the keyboard or mouse when not in use (in recent Logitech battery operated mice, you could store your little USB receiver inside the mouse next to the battery). This is pricey but beautiful and useful - an excellent business investment.

Excellent hardware that improves productivity.

You can personalize the keys and functions with Logi Options+ software and use Logi Flow to move your cursor and files seamlessly between devices. If you are looking for a replacement keyboard and mouse combo that you help you get the job done, then look no further than the Logitech MX Keys S combo package. You can purchase the mouse, keyboard separately, but I feel the combo package is a good deal especially when it is on sale. I have been using Logitech products for many years and some items are hits and others are misses, but this is for sure a hit. First let’s talk about the keyboard. According to Logitech’s claims, it provides a “fluid typing experience” with laptop similar round shaped indentions on the keys that cradle your fingers as you type. The keys themselves are very stable and if you try to wobble them back and forth, they do not move much at all. Each keystroke is short, firm, and quiet. Unfortunately, the keyboard is not height adjustable, but the overall angle is good enough for me. Also, the keyboard does have some real weight to it and it will not move around on you as you type. The included palm rest mat is just squishy enough, but also firm and it helps to reduce a bit of typing fatigue. The keyboard also has a backlight on it that will adjust to the ambient light in the room, according to Logitech, but you must install the Logi Options+ app to set that and also other advanced settings. I did not install the app since I put this on my work computer and our security policies do no allow software like this. The keyboard will turn off the backlight after a few seconds, and then pop right back on when it detects your hands near it, I find that a great feature. Battery life is rated to be about 10 days with lights on the keyboard or up to 5 months w/o lighting on. You can flip the power button to turn off the keyboard when not in use to extend that time. Charging is accomplished via a USB A to USB C cable that is included and this works for both the keyboard and the mouse. I haven’t had enough time with the keyboard to substantiate the battery life claims, but in the 5 days that I have had it, I have used it a lot and it is still running. Mouse is rated at 70 days of use, and I have the MX Master 2S mouse and I find that I have to charge it about every two months and I think this battery claim will most likely be accurate. Speaking of the mouse, wow, the MX Master series is by far my favorite non-gaming mouse that there is. It’s hefty though but it doesn’t feel heavy, it glides nicely on my mouse pad and the buttons are placed in the perfect spots. The only feature I don’t really use is the horizontal scrolling wheel, I just can’t get used to using it. Under the mouse is the power toggle and switching button so you can pair this guy up with three different devices, via Bluetooth or the Logi Bolt system. The keyboard does have the same ability to connect to three devises as well and it has dedicated buttons for this above the Insert / Home buttons. The Logi bolt system is the next evolution of the way Logitech is connecting their devices and this is not backwards compatible with the Unify receivers, I found that to be disappointing, but not a deal breaker. Overall, this is a great mouse and keyboard set up for the office or your home PC and I love nearly everything about it and I am sure you will too.

This is a high-quality, well-designed keyboard and mouse package. What I really like is that it's not only wireless, but you can either use Bluetooth or the included USB receiver to connect. With the Bluetooth, it's possible to save up to three different computer connections and switch between them with the push of a single button. Currently I have mine connected to two, using Bluetooth on one and the USB receiver on the other. Both the keyboard and the mouse automatically connect to either one when I'm in range and turn them on.Both the keyboard and mouse are obviously made from professional grade materials that look and feel tough and durable. Both the keyboard and the mouse automatically connect to either one when I'm in range and turn them on.Both the keyboard and mouse are obviously made from professional grade materials that look and feel tough and durable. They have a totally professional appearance. The mouse is ergonomically designed including what I would call a thumb pad. It has a thumb-controlled scroll wheel and a gestures button on the thumb pad in addition to the other normal mouse buttons & scroll wheel, all of which can be customized with the Logi Options+ app. Also, they can be customized for individual apps. They can be preprogrammed to perform one function say on Excel, and a different function on Microsoft Edge browser, for example. The pointer speed can be extended up to 8K DPI, which is helpful with high resolution monitors. The keyboard has backlit keys and includes a number pad. The top row of function keys is customizable with the Logi Options+ app, including creating keyboard shortcuts. The backlighting can be adjusted for time and can be set to auto-brightness to respond to the ambient light level or can be completely turned off. Another useful feature is the ability to optionally disable Num Lock, Cap Lock, Scroll Lock, Insert, and the Windows Key. A separate detached wrist rest is included with this combo package.A short USB Type A/C cable is included for charging the mouse and keyboard. The Logi Options+ app shows their charge level. Mine came about half-charged and I've been using them pretty heavily for the past 3 days and they've only used about 5% of their charge. According to the box a fully charge keyboard should last 10 days with the backlight on and the mouse should last 70 days. I think my keyboard would last 10 days but I'm a little skeptical at this point that my mouse would last 70 days without needing to be charged again. I haven't measured the full charging time but they both took about 20 to 30 minutes to charge from 50% to 75%.Although this combo package is very expensive for a keyboard and mouse, its high-quality build, customizable functions, and wireless connectivity options make it worth the price.

Devices using the USB dongle connect via Security Mode 1 – Security Level 4 which is also called Secure Connections Only mode. When using LE Bluetooth the connection is Security Mode 1 – Security Level 3.A single Logi Bolt receiver supports connections with up to six compatible devices. I installed my mouse and keyboard using the Logi Bolt dongle. The interior of the product box provides a graphic depiction for connecting the devices with either Bluetooth or Logi Bolt. There is also a sticker adhered to the bottom of the mouse with the same graphic setup instructions.Installing, configuring and customizing the mouse and keyboard are through the Logi Options+ application which must be downloaded from the Logitech website. The installation of Logi Options+ offers the option to create or login to a Logitech account, which will serve to backup all device settings and customizations to the cloud servers.Setting up both the mouse and keyboard and customizing both is incredibly quick and easy. The setup process is fully guided, step-by-step, and the customization selections are numerous yet straightforward and intuitive. Both peripherals can be paired with up to three PCs using Logi Options+. Logitech aptly calls this feature “Easy Switch”. The MX Keys S keyboard has three dedicated keys in the top row for quickly toggling between multiple computers. The MX Master 3S mouse has a button with illuminated indicators for 1, 2 or 3 to toggle between paired computers. The mouse also features “Logi Flow” which allows dragging the mouse cursor between computers. This is not the same as dragging the cursor across multiple screens on the same computer; this is dragging between different computers. When using Logi Flow, the MX Keys S keyboard also follows the mouse to the selected computer.Once I associated Logi Options+ with my Logitech account, I selected the option to backup all devices to the cloud, which will facilitate restoration of those customization settings if necessary in the future. Of course, the mouse or keyboard can also be reset to factory default settings at any time. Each of the mouse buttons and scroll wheels are highly customizable. Logi Options+ offers a vast range of selections which are easily assignable and modifiable. These include app-specific customizations which I am finding particularly useful for productivity applications like MS Office and creativity applications like Adobe Creative Cloud. The physical characteristics of the MX Master 3S are also very impressive. The build appears to be very high quality and very solid. Hand contact surfaces are covered in a rubber-like material that has a high coefficient of friction for great, non-slip grip and excellent control. There are a total of six buttons and two knurled scroll wheels, one of which is on the side of the mouse body. The main, top wheel is selectable between ratcheting operation or smooth, free-wheeling operation, using the rectangular button immediately to the rear of the scroll wheel. The MX Master 3S has an 8,000 DPI sensor that provides extraordinarily accurate and fast tracking, and of course the pointer speed is user selectable, as are the scrolling speeds of the electromagnetic scroll wheels which can scroll at 1,000 lines per second. The comprehensive feature-set and customization settings make the MX Master 3S an extremely capable and user-friendly mouse. The mouse shape is dedicated to right-hand dominant users. It is sculpted to conform to the user’s hand with a thumb notch with buttons and side mounted scroll wheel. The mouse body is large and lends itself to a full-hand, full-palm grip; not just a fingertip grip. However, I am a left-handed user, and this mouse shape is clearly not designed to accommodate my left hand. There are a few left-handed mice available, but this is not one of them. Southpaws often need to accommodate using devices, tools, instruments, etc. that are designed for use by right-handed users. If you are wondering why I am using this right-handed mouse, the answer is quite simply that it is probably the most full-featured, smooth and accurate mouse I have ever used. I really appreciate the level of available customization, and the Easy Switch and Logi Flow capabilities. The MX Keys S keyboard shares the virtue of extraordinary customization capabilities. Almost the entire top row of keys is fully customizable. Backlighting duration and intensity can be manually adjusted or can automatically adjust the brightness level to the ambient light level. Unlike most other keyboards which activate backlighting only based on key depression, the MX Keys S, in addition to responding to a key press, also has proximity sensors that activate the backlighting when hands are detected approaching the keyboard. I genuinely like that feature, but have found that sometimes it appears to be inconsistent. The scissor-switch keys have relatively short travel, excellent rebound and are very quiet. The top of each key is concave (scalloped) which provides an excellent tactile “feel” when typing. The keys are extremely responsive and provide a truly outstanding typing experience. In fact, it is probably the most comfortable keyboard that I have used. The MX Keys S is a Full Size keyboard, which includes a numeric keypad (numpad), as well as a full complement of function keys and operations keys. I genuinely appreciate having a numpad when working on Excel spreadsheets and in AutoCAD and other applications with lots of numeric data entry. My chief complaint with compact keyboards is the lack of a numpad and the sometimes unusual arrangement of other functions on combination keys. The MX Keys S is built like a tank! It is solid and rigid with none of the annoying flexing many other keyboards suffer from. Evidently there is a continuous steel plate comprising the internal frame of the keyboard which not only makes it rigid, but also provides some weight that contributes to this keyboard being extremely stable. Between the weight and the six large oblong rubber feet on the bottom, the keyboard stays in place and does not slide around a desktop while working. The MX Keys S does not have the usual flimsy, fold-out prop legs. The prop on the rear of this keyboard is a solid, continuous block which is therefore non-adjustable. I measured the lift at approximately 3/8” (1cm). The slight incline angle seems perfect to me and feels great.Despite being a full size, stout keyboard, its dimensions are very compact. It measures approximately 16 7/8” x 5 1/8” x ¼” thick (43cm x 13cm x 5mm), and it weighs a respectable 28.7 ounces (816 grams). The size and weight of the MX Keys S is outstanding when a desktop is crowded, and also works very comfortably when you choose to use it on your lap. Both the mouse and keyboard are powered by USB rechargeable internal batteries. Logitech claims that the mouse will operate for up to 70 days on a full charge (and 3 hours from a 1 minute top-off charge), and the keyboard will operate for up to 10 days (or 5 months with backlighting switched off). I cannot imagine using any keyboard without backlighting activated. In the few days of very heavy usage (appx. 14 hours/day) thus far, the mouse battery level remains at the same 60% as when I received it, and the keyboard has declined from 50% to 45%. That rate of battery consumption for the keyboard is better than advertised. The MX Palm Rest is simply very nice. It measures 16 7/8” x 2 1/8” x ¼” thick (43cm x 66mm x 5mm). By being the same width and “height” as the keyboard, the position of your wrist remains neutral when using the palm rest, and it provides the support and comfort that is desired. It is covered in a soft vinyl and has just enough padding. It too is very rigid, and it also has a steel plate inside (as I confirmed with a strong magnet). The Logitech MX Keys S wireless keyboard, MX Master 3S wireless mouse and MX Palm Rest are an excellent set of accessories. The MX Keys S is a rock-solid, comfortable and responsive keyboard. The MX Master 3S mouse is a smooth operating, nicely made comfortable to use mouse with high precision tracking and performance. The MX Palm Rest is quite simply a nicely made, very comfortable palm rest that really makes lengthy keyboarding sessions much more comfortable. The Logi Options+ software is absolutely outstanding with a terrific user interface and more features than I can list in this small writing space. The MX Keys S Combo is an assemblage of an incredible keyboard and mouse with a nice palm rest. They are absolutely my new favorites, and they really enhance the experience of typing and mousing. The only suggestion that I would offer to Logitech is to please produce a left-handed version of the MX Master 3S mouse for me!

Premier Productivity Pairing

This is convenient bundle of Logitech's top-of-the-line keyboard and mouse. The included devices are identical to the stand-alone products. This combo bundle comes with a palm rest for the keyboard (that you can otherwise purchase separately). On the other hand, you'll only get one Bolt receiver and USB cable instead of the two you'd get by purchasing the keyboard and mouse separately. It's probably a good trade-off for most people, but could be meaningful to you if you'd like to take advantage of the multi-device connectivity and need (or prefer) to use a dedicated receiver instead of Bluetooth. The star device of this bundle is the MX Master 3S mouse, in my opinion. It's probably a good trade-off for most people, but could be meaningful to you if you'd like to take advantage of the multi-device connectivity and need (or prefer) to use a dedicated receiver instead of Bluetooth. The star device of this bundle is the MX Master 3S mouse, in my opinion. It is the latest in the MX Master line, which I've used since the MX Master 3 - and all of them have been wonderful to use. They're a luxury, certainly, but I think a justifiable one for people that work daily with computers (as I do). The MX Master 3S (which debuted last year) has the same great ergonomics, build quality, and features as the older MX Master 3. My favorite feature - the MagSpeed scroll wheel – is as great as ever. The 3S now supports the new-generation “Bolt” receiver for non-Bluetooth connections, the button clicks are quieter, and it has an improved, higher-DPI sensor. It's pretty much a flawless mouse… unless you prefer to use a computer mouse with your left hand; Logitech unfortunately still does not make a mirrored version of the MX Master 3S.The MK Keys S is a new device for me. I have also never used the previous version, the (non-S) MK Keys. I had high expectations given my esteem for the MX Master 3/3S and was keen to see how completing my desktop set-up with an MX-series keyboard would foster productivity. In particular, I wanted to add a keyboard that supported multiple devices with Logitech's Easy-Switch function when I was using both personal and work computers at my desk. Unfortunately, after more than a week of using the MX Keys S, I cannot praise it quite as effusively as the MX Master 3S. It's a perfectly fine keyboard: it feels nice and solid, the backlighting is convenient when working in dim light, there's enough customization for my tastes, and it works great with both macOS and Windows computers. The battery life is acceptable, but not outstanding. It uses the same Bolt receiver that the MK Master 3S does, which is convenient. (While that may seem like it should be natural, the previous generation non-S MX Keys uses the older "Unifying" receiver and was still sold alongside the newer Bolt-compatible MX Master 3S in the last year.)I am slightly dissatisfied with two things about the MX Keys S. The first is completely subjective: it's a membrane keyboard (like a laptop) and I prefer the feel of typing on a mechanical keyboard to that of the MX Keys S. (The MX Keys S is admittedly quieter than a mechanical keyboard, which is crucial for some environments. And Logitech does offer the MX Mechanical keyboard as another product to consider.) The second issue is one that I expect to be remedied very soon: at the time I write this, Logitech's Options+ software does not currently support the "Flow" feature with the MK Keys S. This feature allows you to automatically switch a mouse and supported keyboard between up to three computers - the ones with Bluetooth or a Bolt receiver bound to the three device "slots" on both the mouse and keyboard - by running your mouse cursor into the edge or corner of the screen. As it stands, only the MX Master 3S switches automatically, and I must manually change the keyboard. Since its predecessor, the MX Keys, was supported by that feature, I'm sure Logitech will add support ASAP for this (most likely by the time you read this!). In anticipation of Flow support coming soon, I'm not considering its absence in my overall rating of the MX Keys S.Apart from being high-quality and feature-rich devices in their own rights, the "Flow" feature in Logitech's device companion software is a great incentive to buy this combo (assuming the software compatibility is ironed out). Even if you're not interested in the Flow feature, the MX Master 3S is the best mouse you can buy and MX Keys S is a very nice (membrane) keyboard, so this bundle is a convenient way to upgrade your desktop set-up with a high-quality pair of input devices. But if you know you would prefer the feel of a mechanical keyboard and the Flow feature interests you, consider purchasing the MX Master 3S mouse and MX Mechanical keyboard separately.

Two of my favorite devices in one package

Instead, the keys provide nice, tactile feedback when typing without feeling “squishy”.The keyboard has some weight to it and feels solid. This particular model is black and dark gray, and features keys for both Mac and Windows systems. The MS Master 3S mouse is ergonomically designed, with a contoured shape that allows your hand (including your thumb) to rest comfortably on it. It features both vertical and horizontal metal scroll wheels.## FeaturesWireless: It's important to note that this keyboard combo set uses the new Logi Bolt connector, which cannot be paired with older devices that use Logitech's "Unifying Receiver." Buying these as a combo saves you the hassle of having to pair both the keyboard and mouse to one Logi Bolt receiver, as they come pre-paired.Keyboard backlighting: The backlighting on the keyboard does a great job of lighting up as your hand approaches the keyboard, so you can still see the keys in low-light situations before you press the key. The lights automatically turn off when your hands are away after a sure period to preserve battery life, however, I noticed it lighting up on its own when I'm in the hallway and walk by my office, so it may be draining the battery more than necessary. Still, I find I only need to charge the keyboard about once every one or two weeks.Multiple machine support: There are 3 dedicated buttons for switching between devices located in the top row of the keyboard. For example, you can hit the “1” button to use your main computer (connected via the Logi Bolt receiver), then tap the “2” button to switch to your Bluetooth-paired iPad, for example.USB-C Recharging: Both the keyboard and the mouse can be recharged with a standard USB-C cable.## PerformanceThe MX Keys keyboard is technically a membrane keyboard, meaning it may not be ideal for gaming. For word processing and coding, it's a joy to type on, as each provides tactile feedback and is very comfortable to type on and use.The MX Master 3S mouse is very accurate and works on a variety of surfaces, even on my couch cushions when I'm working from the living room. I also like that there is a button located directly beneath the vertical scroll button that lets you place it into "high speed" mode, allowing you to scroll much more quickly (but with less precision). With the backlight feature enabled, the MX Keys keyboard can last up to 10 days of use before needing a recharge. With the backlight off, this extends to 5 months between charges.## SummaryOverall, the Logitech MX Keys keyboard is one of my favorite keyboards for coding, word processing and emailing. The ability to easily switch between devices and the addition of the backlighting makes the MX Keys are very versatile and comfortable keyboard to use.The MX Master 3S mouse is also a joy to use as it provides a comfortable grip, both vertical and horizontal scroll wheels and the ability to "speed scroll".I like this combo set as you can use one Logi Bolt dongle for both devices as they're already paired to the same receiver. Just remember that the Logi Bolt receiver cannot be used with older Logitech devices using the "Unifying Receiver".

Very nice keyboard/mouse combo!
30 May 2023

The MX Keys S (keyboard) and MX Master 3S (mouse) both use the newer Logi Bolt Receiver, which uses a different protocol than the older Unifying Receiver, so they’re not compatible with any older Unifying Receivers you may have lying around. In that same respect, any older Logitech devices you may have that used the Unifying Receiver, will not work with the new Logi Bolt Receiver. That being said, I also tried connecting both via Bluetooth, and didn’t have any trouble, however I did notice that there’s a slight delay when switching to a device that’s connected via bluetooth. The biggest thing to note about the connectivity is that a bluetooth connection won’t work if you need to do anything in BIOS, whereas a Bolt connection will.I could immediately tell that this keyboard is a huge improvement over the Logitech K375 that it’s replacing. Probably not a fair comparison, given the price difference, but if you spend a significant amount of time behind the keyboard, spend the extra $$. It has a nice, solid feel to it. It also has a nice weight, and isn’t going to be sliding all over your desk when you don’t want it to. The keys have a good, crisp feel to them with just enough noise that you know you’re doing something, but not so much that everyone in the house/office can almost follow along.Keyboard features include dedicated keys to switch between up to three devices. One of which I used to pair my keyboard and mouse to my Samsung tablet. The F1-F12 keys can be locked to the old school functions, or be used for pre-programmed functions that control brightness, keyboard backlighting, mic mute, media controls, and a quick emoji selector. Using Logitech Options+, you can also change these keys to do many other things if you so desire. It also has keys dedicated to a calculator, screen snip, , and Windows lock. Very convenient! The mouse has a nice feel to it, but I’ve been a trackball user for several years, so I’m still adjusting. The electro-magnetic scroll wheel is amazing though! I have a few spreadsheets that have several thousand rows (a couple with over 500k), and the weighted scroll wheel makes scrolling through those SO much easier! It also has a horizontal scroll, which is great in spreadsheets as well. My biggest complaint about the mouse is that the Easy Switch button, to switch your mouse between different devices, is located on the bottom of the mouse. If you switch back and forth several times throughout the day, it is much more convenient (like with their MX Ergo trackball) if the button was on top. I can only hope that Logitech will see fit to let you remap one of the more accessible buttons (or even a gesture) to the EasySwitch function, but as of now, this is not possible.Battery life has been decent so far; better than expected for the keyboard. I was able to get about two week’s worth of typical business use, with the keyboard backlight at default (auto brightness; 30 second timeout) settings, out of a full charge. The mouse is still at 80%.Overall a great combo. 5 stars if you could remap the EasySwitch function to another button.

Work Saving Combo

The ability to work across a work laptop and a home computer at the same time using a single keyboard and mouse makes working from home much less complicated.Mouse: The mouse is the true superstar of this combo. It is slightly larger than I prefer but the thumb rest and textured finish make it easy to grip and use. The mouse has the standard buttons but it also includes a button on the thumb rest as well as a second horizontal scroll wheel. You can adjust the speed of the horizontal wheel as well as select between smooth or click scrolling on the main wheel. When configured with the Options + software you can optimize the mouse functionality to the specific apps you use as well as set the mouse DPI up to 8000. Logitech has preconfigured mouse settings for most apps but you can easily change them to meet your specific needs. The mouse buttons are quiet and have a solid engagement when pressed. The gesture button on the thumb rest is smaller and not as easily located but still manageable. This button allows you to press and gesture to select a configurable function.Keyboard: The keyboard is a low-profile full-size keyboard with silent membrane keys. The keys have a slight cupping which makes finding the home keys and typing relatively easy. Because the keyboard is so flat and thin and does not have any slant adjustment it can take some time to get used to. The included foam palm rest definitely helps overcome the lower positioning issues. I was using a standard MX mechanical keyboard prior to this so it has taken some time to adjust. The keyboard uses Logitech’s smart illumination which means it lights up when it senses your hand. I found this feature to be somewhat inconsistent and you cannot turn the lighting on permanently. Luckily via the Options + software you can adjust the length of time the keys are illuminated. This cuts down on the keyboard battery life but it also keeps the keys from blinking on and off every time I stop to think for a moment. The maximum time you can set to stay illuminated is 30 minutes but if you go that long you need to watch the battery indicator of the keyboard closely. The keyboard has a fairly standard key layout including brightness and media controls. You can use the Options + software to configure the Function buttons. Because it has membrane keys it is very quiet which really helps if you like to type during video conferences. Both the keyboard and the mouse can pair with up to three computers using the Logi Bolt dongle or Bluetooth. The keyboard has three dedicated buttons for switching and the mouse has one button on the bottom. I found that pairing the keyboard and the mouse was straight forward and once paired they didn’t suffer any connectivity issues. Both device’s batteries are charged by using the provided USB-A to USB-C cable. Note that both devices only communicate wirelessly – the USB ports are only for powering/charging the devices. The keyboard battery should last about 10 days using the default lighting and the mouse should last 70 days between charges.
