A Must Have for Sim Racing

To someone who has no experience in the racing sim arena, but has driven high performance sports cars, I have no complaints with the feeling or noise coming from the wheel (quieter than an analog sports car by a long shot). In terms of set up it was pretty much plug and play out of the box. I had to adjust some wheel settings for F1 specifically, the biggest one being changing the operating range of the wheel in G-Hub from 920 to 540 - at 920, it was impossible to get the wheel around in time to make an opposite turn. This one adjustment completely changed the feel so if you're having some issues with it out of the box, look at some YouTube videos and articles specific to your game and someone has probably figured it out. With anything Logitech the build quality is what you expect - really solid. Wire management is great, and the clamps/vice used to keep the steering wheel on a desk (if not mounting with hardware) is really solid and easy to mount or take off. My only real concern is just long term use of a leather steering wheel - I'll probably find some racing gloves and keep some sanitizer closer by to avoid wear and tear.

Great entry wheel for sim driving. This is my first gaming wheel and it’s been a real pleasure! Adds a lot of immersion to every game. The force feedback feels good. The pedals are really good a little to close for my liking but really good quality. The pedals are also easily modifiable so that spacing problem I had was an easy fix. Is the wheel just as good as a direct drive wheel. No, but it’s close. As an adult I can tell you it’s still a good wheel but buy a direct drive instead. I plan on doing so in the future because I’ve had so much fun with this wheel, but the wheel feels a bit childish. I’d recommend this wheel for teens.I also want to add. True force! Is it a gimmick? I have no idea but the game hates this wheel and will constantly crash or stutter your game. Any time I played and had the game on 60 fps it would stutter like crazy then freeze then eventually crash. Game worked just fine with MNK but the moment I plugged in the wheel it was not a great experience. The game did run when I switched to 30 fps but I spent way to much money to build a nice pc to be playing games on 30 fps.

It does very much well replicated the rumbling and unsteady surface of the track. The shifter has a professional feel to the shifts as its nothing like a Corolla where its sticky and hard to control but instead smooth and mechanical w really does make me feel like a pro driver. Ive tried My best to have a clean setup even to as far as building a wooden rig for my pedals and wheel + shifter combo. Logitech… I truly am grateful for the product you and the team have developed, me and I bet a lot of other people in the world are glad to have something like this in their rooms as a reminder of the person we could once be.

Great wheel but LOUD!
23 May 2023

I’ve had this wheel for about a week and I have loved it so far, seeing as it is my first sim wheel. I am a bit disappointed that not as many games support Trueforce seeing as it is an amazing feature of the wheel, because I hope to see more game support in the future. In terms of feedback for the physical wheel itself, I have noticed it is quite noisy. Playing on default force feedback settings is fun, and super immersive, but the wheel rattles and rumbles a lot. Turning up the force feedback to maximum settings makes my whole desk shake, and is definitely too loud if you have neighbours in a room next door. Having no force feedback is mostly nice and quiet, but it’s just not as nice playing without it. Having no force feedback is mostly nice and quiet, but it’s just not as nice playing without it. I don’t know if it’s just clunky and desk-shaking because if how I’ve mounted it, but I’m definitely a bit disappointed on how loud it can get. Aside from that, the wheel is great. Great rotation, the pedals feel good (the brake pedal is a bit stiff but you can always make it lighter if you follow some DIY mod videos). Trueforce feels amazing when playing a game that supports it, and is a noticeable improvement from the normal force feedback. I have the Logitech shifter as well and that is pretty good, I am mis-shifting a lot but I think that’s cause I still need to practice a bit more, as I said, I’ve only had the wheel about a week. Overall it’s a solid product and worth considering if you want to get into sim racing. If you live directly next to your neighbours I wouldn’t recommend the wheel as it can get very loud and clunky, but if you don’t mid the noise and your housemates can tolerate it, 100% go for it.

Logitech proves simulators don't have to be pricey

Having both the G933 with a simple stand and picnic chair, and a top of the line racing simulator worth over 10 grand, I can confirm that I find myself putting far more hours into my inexpensive Logitech setup. The simplicity that comes with a G923 is magical, there is minimal software, minimal tweaking and tuning, minimal cables, and maximum fun. The G923 is without a doubt the best Sim kit for anyone getting into virtual racing on games like Forza and Asset to Corsa, when playing on Xbox the user merely has to plug in the kit and everything is already ready to go.The amount of times I find myself sitting down to play with my G923 makes me wonder why I spent so much on more expensive equipment. The idea that with Logitech is always ready to go at a moments notice is something you just can't get any where else, and with the growing support in games like F12022 there are setups available to you as soon as you boot up the game, saving time that you would've needed to research.

Massive Improvement from the G920

I bought this item nearly 2 years ago now and still performs like it is brand new. I originally bought this item to play forza horizon games but ended up using it for f1 games. Overall, this product is in my opinion the best way to get into sim racing for beginners and even those that want to compete at a good level. I definitely want to upgrade to the new Pro Wheel soon and see what the Direct Drive scene is about.

So much potential, but stopped halfway.

I bought this G923 and ended up returning it a few hours later, and this is why. First, I got home and opened the box, started taking the contents out and the steering wheel module already had a rattling piece of plastic inside, which was a huge disappointment even before giving it a go. The setup is really fast as it's mostly plugged and play, and with the G-Hub app already installed on my computer it was easy to customize each key etc. I used it on PC, tried it with Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, dirt 2.0, Dirt4, F1 2018 so I gave it a fair trial with multiple games. I'm going to split my review with pros and cons.Pros:- It's a very affordable setup in comparison to the bigger brands, so if you want to get started with Sim racing I would say this is ... MoreI bought this G923 and ended up returning it a few hours later, and this is why. I'm going to split my review with pros and cons.Pros:- It's a very affordable setup in comparison to the bigger brands, so if you want to get started with Sim racing I would say this is your solution but don't expect amazing, the fact that you can snag one at your local best buy is a plus comparing it to the competition.- G-Hub app makes key binding very easy and fast, plenty to customize (if you're playing on PC)- Not bulky as some units, with a decent build quality for the price and ease of set up/removal if you have to secure it to a PC desk.Cons:- The wheel is very small,- The True force is nothing but capturing the sound frequency of the engine of the car, translating it into some weird and unusual feel on the steering wheel. At one point I muted the sound of the speaker to hear how loud the feedback motor was and I could hear the engine revving up/down through the steering wheel, I am not a fan of that.- The pedals are not the worst, but the brake pedal does not come with any sort of adjusting, nor does it have a feedback feature as some other pedals would do. This is a deal-breaker, as you're missing half the "feedback" of the experience (why not add that to the brake pedal? it's just a tiny rumble motor that attaches inside the cylinder.. the wheel has it, why stop halfway?)- THE CLUNKING THIS THING MAKES IS INSANELY LOUD AND ANNOYING!! My wheel came defective as noted above, I thought that was the issue attributed to the rattling but upon searching on youtube before walking into my local BestBuy, I saw many video reviews, with a lot of people on the comment section also describing the same "rattling/clunk" issues. All in all, this is more for a kid under 15 years old to enjoy from time to time, but this is not a good choice if you want to experience sim-racing at a budget, I recommend staying away from it if that's your expectations. Sure, maybe I was expecting a lot more from this but there are far better options considering that for about $500 more you can get a decent (not the best) direct drive set up.
