Have had this logitech 185 for at least 3 years now. I put a AA battery in it and maybe a year later had to replace. Never turn it off, it looks after itself, not to mention i've dropped it hard at least 10 times. Lightweight and as said contoured to the hand. Doesnt hhave but 2 buttons and a wheel, which doesnt do DPI. Also has no probs with linux or old units. One good/bad is the invisible scanning light. Ha, Ive used it that much i've worn off the logitech logo.

I ended up buying this mouse a few years ago after my old one unfortunately took a bath. If you need a mouse for everyday use it works just fine so I'd give it a 4 stars for that. Factoring in a touchy on/off switch that would sometimes stick in the off position, a very cheep feel as one, and some minor glitches. Nothing that I wouldn't expect for a cheep mouse. However I do a lot with photo editing and I'd find that it would cause my curser to wiggle a little bit when doing careful editing no matter what surface it was on. I couldn't draw even a semi straight line with it if I wanted to but my old mouse which was twice the price of this could. More recently it is starting to just drop connection for half seconds while using it 1 meter from the receiver too which ... MoreI ended up buying this mouse a few years ago after my old one unfortunately took a bath. So for more delicate applications like editing and drafting I would recommend getting a better mouse unless you are willing to live with its quirks for the time being. In which I give it 3 starsOverall, it has done well for the price for a few years, but the mouse wheel has finally stopped working and so I am finally ready to actually get a better mouse again.

This mouse is perfect for daily use on both Windows computers and Google Chromebooks (I don't own any Apple computers so I can't say nothing about those.) This product appears to be an almost exact copy (in terms of funtion) of the mouse that comes with the Logitech M185 wireless keyboard/mouse combo pack. This single blue mouse however has a more matte finish on the top as opposed to the combo pack mouse; that of which is the same type of plastic that's typical on most keyboards. This mouse installs quickly when plugged in for the first time and glides smoothly on my mouse pad. Clicking with this mouse is very satisfying and the scrolling wheel works well. The left and right click buttons are more on the noisy side but I actually prefer that anyway. The size of the mouse itself can be considered on the small side but I'm fine with that; it's not THAT small anyway if you ask me. The quality of the mouse's build is decent, it's almost completely plastic except for the scroll wheel (it's rubberized like most mice). The sides of this model in particular, the part where your thumb and pinky fingers typically rest, are plastic without any type of cushioning. If you'd prefer one with thin rubbercushions on the sides, then get the Logitech model "M317" pc mouse instead. Overall, I love this mouse a lot and highly recommend it to anyone who's on the lookout for computer mice at a decent price.

My previous mouse' dongle was ruined, apparently from lightening, luckily my only casualty. I bought this one and it is SO much better than my old one that I'm glad the old one died! This new mouse works in the other room for tv streaming controls the same as if it were right beside the pc with no reception problems and frequent lack of contact. It's excellent with my windows 7, just as advertised, and actually IS more comfortable to my hand with its curved shape.
Twitchy, try to click something and the curser moves making this a very frustrating mouse.Build quality is good, colors are good, button clicks are positive, however you cannot hover and click, the curser moves when you try and then you have to do it again and again. This is the Logitech way and all their mice do it.Microsoft mice don't exhibit this, neither to Razor mice, or HP mice, or any other brand, just Logitech. Their silk screened letters on keyboards wear off to easily too and don't expect a warranty on their crappy stuff either, they'll tell you it's a feature not a bug or crappy programing.
Plug the USB receiver to your computer. Switch the mouse to power OFF. Press and keep the right button pressed continuously until the end of the procedure. Switch the mouse to power ON. Click the left button once. Click the middle button once.
This mouse waste your money to buy.. I stopped using it after 3 days because of its Super Sensitivity. When you click left only once.. It makes advance to go for another click even if you did not do.. Like for example I used Excel. I am doing my excel worksheet file to edit the some numbers by clicking the box with numbers. I just click this mouse left side once, but it seems you clicked TWICE, the numbers were automatically DELETED.. or the ARROW also goes somewhere.. or it creates a highlighted range of numbers down even if I did not make it.. I STOPPED USING THIS MOUSE BECAUSE THIS IS DANGEROUS CLASS TO YOUR EXCEL WORK AS IT WILL DELETE THE EXCEL FORMULA..I scrapped this MOUSE.. and I used Wired Mouse nowITS A WASTE OF MONEY IN BUYING THIS MOUSE.. The mouse is a bit smaller than regular mice; however, it fits very nicely in my hand. It doesn't have any extra buttons that you can configure to perform other operations. It does scrolls very nicely using the wheel. It advertises the battery will last for a year becasue of its sleep mode. I'll have to see if that is true in the future.
My previous wireless mouse quit working and now I'm glad! This mouse is a great imrovement! It is shapely and more comfortable, including in my left hand, with it being wonderfully ambidextrous! Also, its signal is stonger and works very well from the next room for pc to tv streaming. It doesn't lose signal connection like my old mouse often did. Additionally, the dongle is so minimal, it will fit inside the mouse for storage and transport. And finally, as the package lists, it works like a champ with my Windows 7, as well as the later ones!
