THX-certified indeed. These speakers are an understatement. They’re mighty, and if you don’t control your bass controls well, it may feel like you’re having a mini earthquake. I love these speakers. I managed to get them at a discounted price during the 11.11 sale. It is worthwhile buying these speakers. I connected it to my existing Logitech Bluetooth adapter and connected all of my existing devices seamlessly. I highly recommend these speakers to those who love booming bass speakers with decent audio quality for music, movies and games.

Really awesome speakers for the price. Thoroughly impressed. I haven't even tried the highest bass level in fear of pissing my neighbours off. Highest I've gone is half bass, half volume lol. Volume and bass knobs are a god send. Really redemptive quality of the product. Setup was extremely straight forward, took about 10 minutes to do. Virtually plug and play. No bluetooth connectivtiy but frankly this wasn't a priority at all. Aux out from the right speaker aswell as from the sub itself making it perfect for a variety of setups, gives you the versatility to play music from your phone or directly out of your desktop if that is your desire. With the way that it is, this would be an extremely agile setup that I imagine would even be perfect for the odd getty or two. ... MoreReally awesome speakers for the price. Thoroughly impressed. Can hear it echoing and booming through my apartment. Mids don't fully satisfy my tastes, they don't feel deep or rich enough but honestly for a setup with the intention of atleast being able to hear desktop audio without putting my headphones on, I have no genuine complaints. In regards to the mid speaker quality, I wouldn't knock it down in comparison to any equivilant, just a preference for nicer sound. If anything, might even be overthinking it. When you turn the volume up, the shelf speakers are actually pretty bloody loud too. If you want an affordable setup, this is the best you're going to get I reckon. Especially with the RMS that this one provides. Was going to give 4 starts over the mid speakers richness but in all honesty, the fact that the setup meets all of my expectations and needs, I think it's worth the full 5.

Just ordered and set up my second set of these. The first set I ordered back in 2013 and they ran strong with no issues for the decade I owned them. Finally, after years of use, the stress I put on the cables in my wiring finally caused them to short out a bit when messed with. After months of trying different setups and deliberating what direction to go, I finally decided to just get another set of these. The sound and quality is immense, and the price is just too good to pass up. Just got the new speakers set up and I can say that I made the right decision to get another set. I cannot recommend these speakers enough. The build quality, sound, form factor, and price are all superb. If you're on the fence about these, please trust the good reviews and get them. ... MoreJust ordered and set up my second set of these. Extreme Bass!
3 September 2024

The overall audio quality is quite good for this 2.1 speaker set. Although, the bass is a bit too much for my taste, I would actually prefer more mids & highs over the excessive amount of bass that comes from the subwoofer. The 10 inch subwoofer is way more than I really need. I wish this would be made with a 8 inch subwoofer instead. I'm using it in conjunction with my flat screen tv and a digital Yamaha receiver with 2 tower speakers. Connected to an Insignia Optical out adapter to RCA jacks, it works well with my setup. One of these days, hopefully Logitech will develop a 2.1 speaker system with remote control capability. Aside from the excessive bass, I really like and enjoy this speaker set and would recommend it.

Good speakers; setup was a learning process.

Sound-wise, I would say these speakers are good, maybe even very good, but somewhat short of excellent. After using some very low-end Logitech 2.1 speakers with my PC for a number of years, I guess I was expecting more of a quantum leap in sound quality than what I actually got. They certainly are capable of being played very loud, but the accuracy seems a bit off at the higher volumes. I am still experimenting to find the optimal combination of Windows volume settings and the volume setting on the speaker. As regards the subwoofer, I found I had to turn up the bass control fairly high to get the level of bass I am accustomed to, probably the result of listening to overboosted bass for many years. As regards the subwoofer, I found I had to turn up the bass control fairly high to get the level of bass I am accustomed to, probably the result of listening to overboosted bass for many years. One lesson I learned the hard way: the cable that connects the subwoofer to the right speaker is NOT a VGA cable, even though the connector is identical. If you intend to place the subwoofer far away from the other two speakers, using a male/female VGA extension cable WILL NOT WORK. You need to get a 15-pin D-sub extension cable made for audio signals, which has a completely different internal structure from VGA video cable. Amphenol makes such a cable and their website has a good article explaining the differences. The Logitech setup guide (which you have to download) compounds the confusion by referring to the connectors as "VGA" even though the cable is not.

Great Speakers and Customer Service
2 August 2024

Two things to discuss: I owed the Z523 for 16 years before they stopped working. I purchased the Z623 because the Z523 was no longer sold and I wanted speakers just as good if not better than the ones I owed. The Z623 sound great and have a good-strong bass. You can feel it in the floor. I hope these last over a decade. There are easy to set up, and I have them connected with my computer and a DVD player.Customer Service: The first Z623 I received in the mail were defective. The subwoofer only worked at 10% of what it should. After doing some trouble shooting with Customer Service, I was offered the option of a refund or replacement. I shipped the defective system back. I am pleased with the service and support on the phone. I am giving 4 stars because the first ... MoreTwo things to discuss: I owed the Z523 for 16 years before they stopped working. Jim likes them
5 June 2024

They are loud and sound good. I love that the cords are so short that everything is a cluser on and under my desk. The bass box looks so cool on the floor surounded by dust and dog hair. My friends are envious of how loud it could go. Sadly i have to use headphones instead of these because I'm in an apartment now. Divorce is hard, lost the house and in a 2 bedroom now. Neighbors don't like to hear my anime shows playing so me and the 8 kids use headphones. Jim, my one friend, thinks this is a nice speaker system though. He told me when he came by last month to check out the new place.

Surprisingly great sound for such a small system.

Excellent sound, deep rich bass, and for the $130 price I paid (now $170 1.5 years later) a great value! The only issue was the output cable that connects to my Sony TV started randomly dropping out and I'd lose sound in one speaker. Weirdly, it only affected one speaker at a time, but it happened to both.Luckily it was still under warranty and I contacted Logitech via online chat. After purchase verification (photos of system info and Best Buy receipt) and verification I'd done all their troubleshooting steps, they sent the info on and a few days later a replacement system was approved.I was told I might have to send the original system back, so thankfully I'd kept all of the original packaging. After another several days, the new system shipped out, and I ... MoreExcellent sound, deep rich bass, and for the $130 price I paid (now $170 1.5 years later) a great value! The only issue was the output cable that connects to my Sony TV started randomly dropping out and I'd lose sound in one speaker. I didn't have to send the defective system back.Overall, it took less than three weeks from initial contact to the new system arriving at my house.More than a month later, and the replacement has been working with no problems. Kudos to the customer support experience.FYI - This system passes my Inception test. I saw the move in a full IMAX theater (Udvar-Hazy Smithsonian) and the deep bass can't be replicated in regular theaters, by tv speakers, or most small systems. The Z623 let's you feel the bass as the director intended.

This little system performs waaay beyond its price
31 May 2024

Im fussy, was a pro musician. Im used to using and hearing top quality amps, pa's and so on. This little Logi setup is perfect for what I need. Computer speakers that sound good close up when using my laptop. They do. I listen to a wide variety of music and they perform well with good clarity and headroom. I don't need amazing clear high definition when working. So.... the bad? The mids can be a bit thin, the bass can be boomy. When pushed the whole sound becomes unpleasant and harsh. That's not why I bought them. Ive plenty of pro gear that will do large venues. They are quality enough to do the job at my desk well. Id buy them again.

Very Satisfied DJ

I received a GC last Christmas and sat on it for nearly a year. A couple months back I decided I wanted better speakers for my computer. I DJ and am on the radio every week spinning boom bap or lesser knowing people might refer to as old school hip hop. I go through a lot of music every week is why I mention. There's a significant amount of bass and percussion in the genre, so this particular set of speakers is f*cking great.I'm very satisfied, having gone without for numerous years and a setup change last year. I went from studio monitors to a pair of old Logitec speakers with not much to them. While an actual DJ gig will require something in a different class, these are perfect for what I just described above. You wouldn't drive a economy vehicle in a race. I use two workstations at the moment in different locations and I'm thinking of getting a second set for the second location... or perhaps trying the Logitech Z906 5.1 Computer Speakers System.
