Notes of apple peel and bramley apple, hints of citrus and herbal notes A good level of tannins develops with a vinous character and spice Long and dry with a zesty quality Released to promote Longmorn as a super premium single malt maker, this edition replaced the previous 15 year old. The relaunch was certainly effective as a means to display the distillery's unique Speyside character, as this superb 16 year old was distilled using natural ingredients from the surrounding area, including local spring water, barley from Moray and peat from nearby sources. Very easy to drink. Waxy, smooth whisky, slightly woody.

Special, beautiful example of aged Speyside.

Nice nose, when people talk about apple tones, they mean more sweet old world apples rather than crisp new world. Nice caramel notes with a slightly bitter finish. Goes well with a few drops of water to ameliorate that back-taste. Very good but not great Speysider

Was the pick of my first box, very nice single malt. Loved it
Nice full flavour loved the heat. Could taste the orange flavour more than anything
Love the feel in my mouth. Smooth and tastes almost thick with vanilla and fruit not quite sweet but very easy in the mouth.Very enjoyable first taste of the Advanced box after finishing all the Explorer tastings.
